So from my understanding. They require all freshmen to live on campus they can’t get an off campus housing until after a year. Because I didn’t qualify as a freshman I was eligible to get off campus housing.

Love ur videos! In one of ur other videos u mentioned how you wrote for the sdsu newspaper as a freshman, as a current freshmen journalism major I was wondering how u were able to do this or if you have any tips for getting involved? :)

Thank you so much 😊 Are you specifically a freshman at sdsu? I can provide a more detailed answer if you attend sdsu!

@@user-dg1pd6yk1c perfect, you can literally join today as a contributor writer! I think they're doing the onboarding process a bit differently since I worked there, but here's a interest form you can fill out: thedailyaztec.com/apply/
I'm not sure how often they check it, but if you get no response within a few days, let me know what specific section you would want to write for & I can send you that editor's email :)
      Hope this helps!

Loved the video! I’m currently considering going here, but am wondering if u are able to pick ur roommates at all? Or does SDSU housing choose for you based on the questionnaire?
Also is it easy to access parties/bars if you’re not in a frat? Still deciding if I wanna rush or not
Last thing, but are the impacted majors that big of a deal at sdsu? If u don’t get a class or into ur major does it throw u off ur track?
Actually now this is the last question, but how is the cost for out of state students, do they offer good scholarships, I heard they’re little to none, but that is also could be bc the tuition is generally cheaper than most schools. No worries if u don’t get to all these questions

      Thank you :)
As far as roommates, you can request to have a particular roommate when you're applying for housing, but it's not a guarantee. So if you meet someone prior to applying for housing like I did my freshman year, you both have to request each other when applying and hope that they put you both together!
As far as parties/bars, I've never attempted to get into a party here. However, it is mainly invite only for parties on campus. There's local bars you can visit though anytime!
As far as the impacted majors, it will throw you off track a bit if you do not get into your major or a class (particular a major prep class). If you're trying to graduate within the 4-year timeframe, getting accepted into your major from the start is really helpful.
As far as out-of-state tuition, it is CRAZY expensive in my opinion. I've received a few scholarships here and there through Aztec Scholarships, but they don't make a dent into the out of state tuition, so I mainly funded my education through loans.
I hope this helps, please lmk if you have any other questions
      😊

Did you ever look at off campus housing options ? If so why or why not ?
