I am a South African musician. Started listening to Yanni at 27; since then I have been listening to him roughly everyday- I am 45 now. He is one of my prime influences. May God bless him.
He is correct in the process of taping into the mind, letting it come to him. Yes, he can hear all notes and all the instruments. My dad had the same insight,self taught. Love to Yanni.

YANNI!! My Mom was near 70 when she first saw you on ETV Live At The Acropolis. The look on her face when I placed 2 tickets in her hands for July 1995 concert in Charleston, SC and again 1998. Your majestic music made her feel so Alive when she was dying. Forever grateful and yes, the three words, I APPRECECIATE YOU....

Yanni brings people together and thanks to his music and the way he faces life and puts his feelings on his songs there is no way not to feel the same. His secret? It all comes from the heart.
I live close enough to travel there any day but would not. The creative process is priceless and letting him live his life will help to keep the music we adore keep flowing from him. The creator works through him and hands him all we hear.

I still love the synthesized sound of his early albums-- my favorite albums are still 'Keys to Imagination' and 'Out of Silence.' The cover art on 'Keys to Imagination' is what drew me to buying my first Yanni CD before I even knew who he was. My introduction to Yanni was to his music of that very first CD before I even came to know the person Yanni. My first concert was in 1993-- Gammage auditorium in Tempe, AZ. It was awesome!
