interesting. ive just bought same box. but with suzuki v strom plate and fit kit. \im fitting it to 2012 BM R1200GS ADV. it will be interesting to see if I can use parts ive got. Good video.
They did at least 1 mistake. The GL3432 and GL3433 are not needed to be assembled with the GSA with the Tourism pack (that is installed on the bike they are using on the video)
7:13 Did you install the part#3 support piece incorrectly? It need to go between the top plate and grab rail and not underneath the part #2 support clamp as per instructions
The Givi website and Revzilla can both tell you which adapter fits your bike, so I'm not sure why this required such extensive research. Am I missing something?
Yust to let you know. Most back bracket where you have installed distancer inside that other piece is wrong and should go oposit side of original bmw installation. Sory for maybe inaccurate description. Please contact me if not clear
That part near the end that you're calling the "spacer" is definitely not installed correctly. If you haven't already, you really should remove it and place it on top of the OEM rack tube where it belongs. As it is in this video, I'm sure it's going to deform the U-shaped bracket and then fall out. If it seems like there's not enough space for it, that's likely because you tightened some things out of sequence.
Great video. I got one question: all you need is just that rack to fit into the bike and the top case, right? Because I have seen some videos where they actually use 2 different pieces: 1 rack attached to the bike, and another one on the top of it that will then be attached to the top case. In total, I would have to purchase 3 products (top case + base + rack). In your videos it looks like only the top case + rack is needed.
We have the stock rack that comes with the GS Adventure which is different than the GS. We had to add the Givi rack adapter in order to attach the top box. If your bike has the stock rack only, you need to get the Givi rack adapter for your make and model/year of bike (note GS and GSA has different adaptors) but you do NOT require separate racks. I hope this helps.

Thank you. I will double check with Mike. I know he was changing something I’m not sure if I accidentally edited that.
