Man..your brake light gets blocked from that rotopax tank

That’s what I noticed as well it would be handy for trail riding, but it would make me nervous on the road without the cagers being able to see me tail and brake lights.

Looks great but I just can’t get past the size difference between the two panniers. My ocd can’t handle. Left looks so much bigger than right.

Hey ThatShortGuy, what armrests are those? I like that they fold up, and would probably mount them on my 42L or 58L outback top case in a heartbeat for my pillion. Thanks!

Those boxes are HUGE ! Nice bike, I have just picked up one with the HP colour scheme and have not got any boxes yet, I was thinking of going with a genuine top box and Bumot soft side bags. I’m just wondering what size in liters that top box is, looks like it has plenty of room. Sorry if you mentioned it in the video, I missed it.

Hey hey! Nice detailed video, however I do have a concern. Doesn't the top case hang too much out? I mean loaded top case and maybe the fuel canister filled might break off if you hit a pothole or go off-road? I own a 2014 LC and would like to mount the Maxia 4 top case and I am worried about the exact same thing...

I had the rotopax filled with 1 gallon of gas and the top case filled completely with camping gear which included cooking gas and an MSR burner stove. I did a 1400 mile round trip including offroading, you can see the video of the trip on my channel to colorado. I didnt run into any issue. The Alt rider rear rack is made of high quality steel and the extension i added on is aircraft grade aluminum.

Awesome video!!! Wondering where to get the adventure kit you showed, that goes under the rack with the four screws? Can't seem to find them.

The givi outback trekker case does not fit the rack just by itself?

    • @joshuaechols5865
      @joshuaechols5865 2 года назад

Yes, it will fit without the large rectangular rack he added from the S10. He added the second rack to the Altrider rack simply to carry the Rotopax, and camping gear around with or without the top box on.

The stock SR5108 / SR5108A for the Givi Trekker series have a load rating of 6kgs for a case that can hold 52 liters! I am wondering if there's any such load limit when using the Altrider plate. Got to get one for my 2018 GS Rallye.

Useful vid. Thanks. Do you happen to know if with the Altrider rear rack mounted in the lower possible position - that is with grabrails removed - it is still possible to mount the Givi monokey pieces to it? (I'm thinking maybe it'll be impossible to get underneath to the nuts - or the bolts themselves will be too long.)

Is the aluminium top case rack level with flat ground? (I.e. parallel to the ground) ?

Nice video! Thanks for uploading. I just bought the Givi rack however the manual says that the indicators need to moved to another position. Is that really necessary? I did not see you moving these indicators to another spot.

      Hi
I’m from the UK and I’m considering buying the givi panniers for my 1250gs.
I’m concerned about moving the rear indicators. Is it necessary and if so why.
Struggling to find info about the reason for moving them.
Really enjoyed the video on fitting the rack 👍
