This horde mode looks absolutely incredible! Jack alone adds so much to the sandbox, acting not just as a support unit by healing teammates, ferrying weapons and stunning enemies, but also being able to take control of enemy units. Its such a brilliant addition to the mode.
ive never played horde. But this one is catching my attention!
People are wanting Beast Mode but totally forgetting about Escape which is going to be amazing. There are going to be a million possibilities of maps the community are going to build for that mode with the map builder. Incredible replayability and great fun to be had there. A beast mode would be sick but lets be real, overrun was better. I'm already content with the crazy amount of content on it's way. And it's all Co-op!!!!!!!! This is crazy awesome!
I’m all for accessibility but only if it’s still great for OG fans and isn’t dumbed down for casuals sake

If you’re not okay with the blood, gore and mature language, what are you doing playing gears in the first place?? Those elements are baked into its identity.

They changed the whole series to be more of an emotional royalcoaster, like they said in their interview, the series is no longer what is use to be.

Accesible is not the same as making the game easier.
Gears died after 3 just admit it. They even changed the name "Gears Of War" to just "Gears 5" because they want this trash to be more of an "emotional journey" and "finding out who you're"...like wtf? What does any of that have to do with Gears Of War? sure the series has some emotional moments but that's not what it's known for whatsoever.
So move on then stop complaining

I have the same doubts as you, but remember it's going to be free on Game Pass, so just use one of the 1 month for £1 deals to see what it's like and save a fortune if the game does flop.
The gameplay is still better than any other third-person shooter on the market. I couldn't care less about the campaign (because, I agree, 3 was the proper conclusion).

@@hellboy7424 Well it is weird wording, he's actually referring to people being legally blind. However they can still see shapes and light, so they make the game have options to help them out which is amazing. But saying just "blind" instead of "legally blind" is really weird.
@@draftierchase don't get me wrong , I think it's great to think of people with vision problems, but they should have better used the term "people with partial vision problems" and not directly "blind." That is just my opinion.

I’m worried about customization
gears 1-3 (online) were far from "accessible" and thats why the fans loved it. the online was punishing but rewarding. i played so much gears back in the day but the direction theyre taking the franchise doesnt make me wanna jump back on board.
The Accessibility from this interview appeared to be more options to get more people into it. Not stop true fans.
@@draftierchase i mean, even with characters like marcus feeling like they dont really have a place in the story anymore. Might be too early to say so hopefully im wrong about that
Chase Richardson its not optional unfortunately. The multiplayer experience is very casual focusing on lancers and explosive weapons. Its the easiest gears game yet. I even jumped back to gears 4 and really appreciated how heavy movement felt compared to gears 5
@@AllThatJuice- Well I haven't beaten campaign yet but so far he's in cutscenes and they've delved deeper into his relationship with higher ups and Anya. He's also in your coms all the time.

I can't accept "Gears 5", so I call it Gears of War 5, that's the name of the franchise, always been.

@@AzpecTProductionz Wrong. Single Player games last forever and you can replay them as much as you want. Multiplayer games die as soon as the servers go down and if you have no internet connection.

Dbzfan 01 Ever heard of PVP? Not every game has dedicated servers. Explain to me how people are still playing every Gears of War and Halo game online with no problem with no dedicated servers.

It's not, just an option for casual mode (Horde, Escape, and Campaign).

Great Game Players Enjoy
I played the first Gears when it came out originally, and I was a big fan of the gloomy nightmarish vibe of the world, but it seems like they've progressively moved away from that with each game. After playing Gears 4 for the first time recently, I was also honestly disappointed that, after all these years, the controls still make you feel like you're moving a lightweight tank. Hopefully this will be treading new ground.
All the whiners are still gonna play Gears all day, they just whine about everything. This game looks amazing so far, nothing is perfect

Queen Mira was the main villain in Gears, so to have Kait on a path to become the new Queen is not a departure from the lore. 95% of the Cog in Gears 5 are male so i'm not seeing a problem here.

I also don't like that they are doing a cross over from Halo, also enjoy that they took the Farsight from Perfect Dark... Literally completely disappointed in what they have done
Cody Galbreath it’s an option. Practically all game’s have the option to turn off blood and gore. Which begs the question why they’re even highlighting such a feature...
