In Gdansk there are hundreds of shops selling amber jewellery there is an amber museum and you can even buy things like ships and chess sets made of amber. One thing, amber can actually come in many different colours not only orange and sometimes insects can be trapped and preserved in it for millions of years some of which you can see at the amber museum in Gdansk.
I found some amber today in the Colorado River valley in northern Arizona. It actually tastes like pine resin! It melts and burns too. So cool. Petrified wood nearby too… some chalcedony… lots of fun stuff out here.
what you have found could also be --> copal. It's an intermediate stage between resin and amber, and usually of a soft consistence. Knowing the difference is hard, and both smell similarly when burned.
Great video! Thanks. I'm guessing or remembering that resin glands are nearer the cambiun, while the center of the tree is just for structure, ie, deals xylem cells.Resin is secreted at the site of the wounds.
I clicked on this video to remind myself how Amber was formed. I'm making a low-level Druid villain in a D&D game. She produces syrup from her trees for income, but her family also makes amber as a generational endeavor. Of course, it still takes a LONG time to make the amber, so she's experimenting with a ritual to influence her trees' sap so that it can become amber quickly. It just requires her to bury people alive beneath a given tree and to perform a rite, so now people are disappearing because of it. Can't wait to throw this at my players. Plant monsters, Amber Elementals, insects that feed on the tree and grow giant as a result. It's going to be fun!
I found a Hardened Light Rock! Redish Orange like crystal but it's hard! How did i get it?.. Our house Is near Seashore, its been 9 years since i Found the rock and i Hid it. I Hid it because it floats in the water. Imagine a rock floating in a water.. I found it beside seashore.. I was walking besides sea and i found a wet mud crab house.. the hole in a muddy sand.. next to it a rock.. I lift the rock and throw in the ocean. And it floats. Wow amazing. i rush and take the rock and bring it home. I was curious cause the looks is redish orange that kind a transparent in the inside like crystal but its hard . And if I light it with fire.. it smells very good. Thats all .
The trees themselves were uprooted, during storms/glaciation and deposited on the seafloor by rivers and then covered by sedimentation. Of course not every piece of amber has this exact background story but usually some variation thereof
I love this video. It legitimately gave me everything I wanted to know about Amber
Great video! Very direct, I learned everything I wanted.
Thanks for the feedback! ✌️

I’m still not sure how the amber got deposited into the ground after being poured out from the tree.

Than you.
Ah! Electrons!
It's very tough to find this video
It's all about Amber Heard

does that mean there are trees million years ago?
Yes. Trees have existed for well over 300,000,000 years.
