The 80's were good times. 1980 was my year. I turned 15 that summer and met my first love. It was a summer of young love with my older 16 and a half year old boyfriend. He drove this awesome souped up truck. I was so proud to ride in that truck. We dated two years and looking back I have such fond memories of that time. I am glad I grew up in a much simpler time when there were no cellphones, the Internet or social media. I feel sorry for kids growing up now with everything they have to contend with.
No, that world doesn't exists anymore, the government cracked down and stopped the 80s from going into the next decade, the government couldn't control the people with them having that much freedom, the 80s was the last decade of true freedom.

I grew up without phones or smart phones, we didnt know what was outside our areas, it wasnt as fun as u think, people didnt befriend each other it was like now.people had no choice ,people were bullied but in real and not online.
Free and fun-loving times. I proudly lived in this era as a teen. No selfies, internet or phones. Real human interaction with strong, gutsy people. No need to be covered in tattoos from head to toe at a young age and have a ring shoved through everything! Millennials and gen Z will never get it. We were made tough as steel and spoke our minds without living in fear. We knew how to party and have Fun without fear or restrictions! Very empowering times.
I thank the universe every day for introducing me to the 80s. Madonna, Prince, Jackson, The Cure, Sandra etc ... Funky, new wave, hip-hop, synthesizer, techno, the most creative decade. the discos, the Jeans, Vinyl records, the Vespa rides back home in Italy, the arcades in Rimini, I hope I'll be allowed to do it all over again after I die. 😂😂😂😂

Best Decade Ever. Back in the day I was driving an 86 Trans Am, 25 miles to work in Downtown L.A. It was a clothing store with a D.J. playing all the KROQ and Disco while customers were shopping. After closing time my co-workers and I would hit the Clubs in Hollywood like Circus, Rage, and Studio. Great Memories!!!

God takes me back to swinging 80s London club scene. Used to go out Friday and get home Sunday evening. Sometimes used to party till 6am and go straight into work. Euro scene wad far better then the states, the alcohol laws are totally different, clubbing ages different and the music far superior than the US. Love to go back but although being one of the best decades I also lost half of my friends.
In those days you spent plenty close to an hour getting yourself dressed up and doing your hair to go out night clubbing, Im so glad I was around the nightclubbing scene in those days of the late 80's to the early 90's

Used to love getting dressed up going out dancing it was so much fun couldn't wait till Friday and Saturday night to come nowadays are shooting each other killing each other burning down stuff stealing and robbing they don't know what fun was to have a bunch of friends and enjoy each other and everyone else there we had fun would those days are gone
