- In this heavily edited video, I played the complete game and recorded all important scenes from Cartoon Network: Punch Time Explosion XL on Wii for all the characters and removed all the loading times to create a smooth, new and unique narrative with re-ordered scenes. Played, recorded and edited by myself with HDPVR2 and AfterEffects from my own walkthrough of the game

How cool is this to see! Thanks so much for posting it! I was the one who did all these cutscenes while I was working at Papaya Studios. It was a CRAZY schedule. I think I did them all in around 2 months. There's certainly quite a few parts that are rough around the edges, but I'm proud of what I was able to accomplish in such a short timeframe, and I'm so happy to see the enjoyment that so many players got out of it!
I still play the game from time to time, mostly the story mode. Never skip the cutscenes. While not tv quality, they are still very nicely done and always a fun to watch. So thanks a lot for some wonderfull childhood moments ^^

Punch time explosion walked so MultiVersus could run.
This story mode is (a little bit) better than Subspace Emissary. It ACTUALLY uses the worlds from the shows and characters talk to each other
Just because I haven't seen it mentioned elsewhere in this comment section, The anoncer is voiced by Space Ghost's Coast to Coast VA George Lowe with the implications through casting and dialogue that the announcer character is supposed to be Space Ghost
They probably couldn't show the narrator being Space Ghost because Cartoon Network could only license their original characters(like the Aqua Teens, Harvey Birdman, The Powerpuff Girls, Ben 10) since the HB library was under the Warner Bros. Games brand(Although they do not use these franchises).

@@rifasclubcoast to coast was a cn production sure, but the characters are HB's. if it was made today it wouldn't have been an issue since they apparently sorted out the rights, but in 2010 it was harder to get

You Had to Main One of The BEST & BROKEN Characters (Grim)
If I were to change a few things to the game here's what I'd change:
All the voice actors need to reprise their roles
Scenes that lack character animation need more work
Each character having full dialogue during the scenes instead of one-liners
Aku will be silent cuz his VA is dead

Also funny thing is Blossom is shown to be an overpowered character that can break the game at points. Her ice breath can just infinite spam most enemies. She’s that broken.

kinda surprised how many people seem to have forgotten that game. I know it was not perfect.... but damn was it so much more advanced than the nicktoon smash clone. I still play this game from time to time.

@@bmwjourdandunngoddess6024 Well a friend of mine plays the smash bros games almost all his live. He tried this game once with me and said it feels like the first smash game, but compared to the games after, it does not feel as polished. So I assume that is a reason?

I just barely remember playing this on the Wii after my dad got rid of the Wii I stopped playing it.
We need a good sequel from the Slap City devs. Or maybe CN prefers to be known not having a good smash clone.
We are technically getting with a leak saying that Warner bros games is developing a smash bros style fighter game called Mutiversus. Along with it the leak image of roster show that Cartoon Network characters are joins Mutiversus.
