Crew Chief on a heavy set aircraft is nice too, you could be in 7 countries in 2 week & often stay in hotels, just have to take a liking to doing light maintenance on aircrafts
THanks for sharing! My little guy is going to be 5 and wants to be a fireman, so he's loving watching the videos! Good luck from "Firetruck Danilo" from Good ol' San Antonio, Texas!
Clarisa Gonzalez missing Texas so much!! I’ll be home in 2 days!!! Thank you guys for the amazing support seriously. Wishing him the best of luck on his dream!!❤️🙌🏼
Oh ok how is it I need pick 8 jobs my recruiter said so I’m looking into bunch of jobs and trying see what would catch my attention mostly because it will end up being my job for 6 years
Great video brother, in the dep program myself hoping that fire protection becomes available soon before I ship out, any more update vlogs on the job itself would be amazing I'd love to learn as much about it as I can 💯
If I was doing what you were doing, I'd rather have no calls. You are right though, sometimes you do things that can't be recorded for whatever reason, doesn't mean you don't do anything. Keep up the great job and keep striving for your goals.
After the Air Force I want to be a commercial pilot so I was deciding a mechanic job for aircraft but this looks so awesome for a job I don’t know what to do!!
Retired from Fire protection in 2011, old school training at Chanute AFB , Rhein Main AFB then I was assigned to Cheyenne mnt before moving to my last base in Montana
Dope video btw😃.. Currently in the enlistment process trying to decide if I want to go Security Forces, Fire Protection, Or Cyber Security.. Doing as much research as possible... Gonna sign 6 years..😭
Amber Norton yeah definitely research a lot because this will most likely be the career you’re in for your whole contract unless you get the slight opportunity to cross train!! Good luck!!!
Great content brother. Helps me see what other AFSC's are up to. I may be looking into switching my afsc and going active rather than ETSing. 2A7X1 - Metals Technology - Air National Guard! Kill! -SrA Chadwick
Left for BMT April 24th so sadly I missed this video but I’ve been back for a few weeks now so I’m finally watching this, I’m going to start Fire Protection Training/Tech School soon, and tips? Please and thank you!!!
Was an AF Security Specialist for four years and always envied the firefighters job and realized I should have gone in that direction more so because of the opportunities to be a firefighter when you get out vs. being a civilian police officer.
@@jerrod9009 Several of my AF friends got jobs with local law enforcement agencies when their enlistments were up. I would say that's a more direct career path for AF security forces but the fbi/cia are also a possibility but I would recommend that you pursue a college degree while you're in the AF because those professions will require that you have one.
Hey brother, been watching your videos for a while now. I’m finishing up the fire academy here at good old goodfellow and then heading to my first base in England. You have any advice for a new boot like me when I get there. Appreciate your hard work to keep making these videos.
Easton Cardenas try not to act like you know it all when you’re at your new base. You’ll learn your bases way of doing things. Absorb everything like a sponge. Be friendly to everyone no matter how hard it is brotha. Keep your head up no matter what. Most of all, enjoy it and have fun my dude!
Hey man, This is a pretty cool way to show what we do in this line of work. Just be careful of what you share at the station and keep safety at the forefront of your mind. I spotted a couple of things that gave me cause for concern. Just constructive criticism. Fantastic editing though.
Can’t y’all put a few gopros on the trucks? Just have the trucks hold the cameras for u! Lol I’m pretty sure u may have to get premission tho. Idk how that would work, just throwing that out there. New sub! Keep the pretty dope vids rolling!
Emmanuel Hernandez might have a slight advantage over other people however it’s only possible to get the career if there is slots available. Best of luck!
I am currently going through the process of picking jobs and I am only interested in fire protection and wanted to be in the DEP for it, but being told by my recruiter that it’s hard and a long wait is discouraging me. How long did you wait for this job if you waited and was it you’re first choice?
You guys don't got consoles or a PC to play on? I heard about the airmen, marines, soldiers, and sailors playing video games. But I thought you guys played on some console or PC.
I am planning on joining the air force, I am looking into jobs that I can transfer the knowledge that I got from the air force into civilian life. Any suggestions? And what do you think about biomedical equipment in the air force reserves?
are there separate stations for civilian and airforce firefighters? Do air force firefighters go on civilian calls? Also how many calls a year do you guys run
So I’m in jRotc and firefighter training in high school will it be easier for me to get that job sense I’m already training and have some certificates?
Brady Nuñez dude ask to see if they’d let you vlog?! Or just show up with your camera.😂 Worst the can do is just say put it away. It’ll help bring a lot more people to your channel.😏
Randy Cantu nah homie, I work in an Intel environment. Can’t even bring my phone in. Trust me I’d be putting out way more Air Force content if I could 😂😫
Give me your most honest oppinion, is SF really worth it? Or should i just go fire protection? I really want to be a cop, but either way being a firefighter in the air force and getting out you can still be a cop.
I hear not so much. During state emergency they get deployed and get actual experience but most of the time they let. The City and County Fire Departments take care of the fire calls.
I was a volunteer firefighter for two years now I'm currently volunteer ems. Theres a lot of things that can't re record because like you said your not able to hold the camera. I really enjoy the videos I'm thinking about going to the Air Force, and going for firefighting in the Air Force so it helps me to know what to look forward to. Thank you
Quick question did you go to school for that then applied to be a firefighter ? Or did you just go to the recruiter and ask if there is jobs available for that
I wish I could get Fire Protection, couldn't lift 100 pounds over my head at MEPS, only got 90. My recruiter said my ASVAB scores were kinda too high to try and get this job anyway and I should go for airborne intel (I got an offer for airborne ISR operator a week after MEPS, but my security clearance didn't have enough time to go through.) Maybe I'll try cross training into Fire Protection down the line.
Firestarya that’d be cool man. If your score high they can’t tell you no if you qualify for it and it’s available. Only problem is if you score too low.
FET Engineer I ended up picking Special Missions Aviation, which was my new number 1 after Fire Protection. It’s also a 1A job, so I get those flyer bonuses.
Ayana Hasley I’m not in yet, leave July 31, so all the info I know is from RUclips videos and just reading about it on other websites. I know it’s like flight engineer combined with door gunner, you can be assigned to the HH-60 for combat search/rescue, the AC-130, the Osprey, or the Huey. I’m hoping for the HH-60.
Hey, I just joined the USAF and got a contract for fire protection. I'm not a big guy. I'm like 5'5. And I can only bench about 110Lbs. I heard fire protection training is really hard. I'm afraid I'll have a harder time then most. What was it like for you? Was it really challenging?

That it is man. A1C here too. I love it, glad i joined and got this job. Stationed at Patrick AFB

Cool video, nice editing, need more day in the life for other AF Jobs

Do you need 20/20 vision to be in the Air Force firefighter. I know most stations do but does the air Force also require it or can I wear my glasses.
Ima get to the gym and probably enlist around December, I need to get stronger if I want to do fire protection. Great video Randy

Ace Combat42 it’s a no hat, no salute area. You don’t have to have it because it’s technically our work and training area.
Ok Thank you! Sorry if I sounded rude.
