Who would’ve known that watching this on TV as a tiny child would result in me getting an Elasmotherium tattoo almost 20 years later.
    I still love this thing.

One of the dopest and unique tattoos ever, easy! This show was on at the end of my childhood and I believe the last show to be made by Impossible Pictures, so it holds a special place in my heart. I rewatched it so many times.

I wish this show got another season! It was too good for only six episodes!

Imagine, if an elasmotherium and a woolly rhino still exist, they would join some modern rhinos. Amazing!

If that happens then the earth would have been just as colder as Pleistocene epoch.

i love the elasmotherium but now that im older i come to realise how is nigel saving them? the mammoth or the elasmotherium cant reproduce. the triceratops is alone so is the terror bird. tbh he's stalling the inevitable. but regardless i love prehistoric park to the end of time

Before breeding them he wants to bring a few of each species to see how they get along in the 21st century

The plan was “to bring a few of each species back, to see how they get on in the 21st Century”. So inevitably he would’ve gotten more members of their species to help establish new breeding populations

I think he was just testing how they would handle being in the modern day.
I think he would eventually bring in more species for mating. (Well some of them.)

Recent studies suggest that these guys have shorter horns

In certain shots, like next to the snowmobile, it looks highly realistic. Other shots you can tell the CGI is a bit dated.

Elasmotherium actually had a boss, a lump of bone, used for vocalization, kinda like the crests of some hadrosaurs.
