I have this stove too and i love it. The noise can be a bit much, but you can buy a "polardawg 2" damper cap for it and it cuts the noise level in half. Plus it helps when you want to simmer things. Great video!

@@offtrackfamily No problem. I should mention that if you do decide to get that cap you should watch this short video ruclips.net/video/Jl9UWdp7OHc/видео.html . The starting process is just a little different and it will also give you a basic comparison in sound levels.

Too much noise? If you put on a PolarDawg silencer it will reduse the sound from screaming noice all the way to be able have a normal conversation, and better use of gas canister and also easier ignition ☺️ I have Optimus Polaris Optifuel, same as the tactical, only different colours. I am also very pleased with this burner 👌 If you do preheat with red-alcohol instead gasoline you get less sot. I also recommend using 4stroke lawnmower gasoline (white gas/ cleansed gasoline) instead of unleaded 95, less files and lower amount of sot. Unleaded petrol/gasoline are slightly mixed with accelents for optimal burning in car engine's not multifuel stoves. Less cleaning and dismantling more cooking! Not suitable for alcohol use, only alcohol for preheating and partscleaning. Take care and happy camping 👍

I noticed that Lowes is selling a "no smell" ultra purified heating oil. They won't say its kerosene. But it's supposed to be sulfur free. Does anyone know how this would work in a polaris?

It's supposed to burn any type of fuel but if not sure I would recommend to contact optimus.

No fumes? Ethanol perhaps? If so do not attempt using as fuel. I had alcohol instead of normal once, not fun to abandon a weekend hike because of wrong fuel. Alcohol is good for preheating.
