Cooksey was an excellent talent. Great voice. Excellent voice actor. Loved him in T2, as budnik on salute your shorts and as Montana Max on tiny toon adventures.
I actually went to grade school with Danny Cooksey in Oklahoma. Didn’t really know him cuz he was 4 grades behind me but I sometimes saw him around school & also performing in the school talent shows singing country with his dad. Seemed like a nice kid but was shocked to see him turn up on my fav tv shows. I couldn’t believe a lil kid from my small Oklahoma town was actually a tv/movie actor. Especially when he turned up on Different Strokes and in T2. Pretty amazing.
Moore, Oklahoma at Apple Creek Elementary. We were in the same grade together. I never forget playing during recess with him. He'd be the only one who would approach me. Always was kind in 3rd grade.
I remember him singing, with his dad I think it was, on the stage at Apple Creek Elementary. The one song I remember him singing and always sticking with me was "Looking for Love in All the Wrong Places".
KoolCat ! That is so cool! You got to see a "star" before he was a star! You're lucky you got to hear him sing when he was little. I wish he'd focused on singing more than acting. He was an incredibly talented country singer.
According to Paul Dini, Danny Cooksey was good for the role of Montana Max in Tiny Toon Adventures because he could do a "tremendous mean voice." Cooksey was also the only voice actor in the cast who was not an adult
Check out his work with Bad 4 Good. The album came out the summer of 1993 if I remember correctly. He was 16, guitarist Thomas McRocklin was 12, bassist Zach Young was 13, and drummer Brooks Wackerman was 14 when they made the album. You wouldn't believe it was a bunch of kids unless someone told you. They were INCREDIBLE. Brooks is currently the drummer in Avenged Sevenfold.
2 years later he became the singer of a hardrock band formed around teen guitar virtuoso Thomas McRocklin called Bad 4 Good. They released 1 cd that was produced and co-written by guitar God Steve Vai.
Perhaps inspired after recording a hard rock vocal treatment of "Money (That's What I Want)" as his character Montana Max in an obscure 1992 cast album for Tiny Toon Adventures music.ruclips.net/video/8mBCHxhT4dM/видео.html&feature=share
I was thinking the same thing. He did show off his singing talents a few times while on Diff'rent Strokes from 1984-1986. Wonder if he still belts out the tunes these days?
GOD has really blessed him. How? Growing up after a stint on Different Strokes. Sadly some of the kids became drug addicted, but Cooksey escaped somehow and is alive and well living in California. Jesus is Love
That hot, old summer sun Make you beg for your next breath So, you best be on the creek bank Laying in the shade Chewing on a hickory twig Pass that bottle, I'll have me a swig I ain't got a lot but I think I got it made In the shade I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind Catching these fish like they're going out of style Drinking this homemade wine Hey, if the sun don't come up tomorrow People, I have had a good time I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind I bet the old man's in the kitchen He's got my kind of music on his radio Aah, drinking his beer and Dialing up the request lines Mama and old Aunt Joan probably in the Dining room trying to use the phone Me, I'm thinking about that girl and later tonight I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind I'm catching these fish like they're going out of style I'm drinking this homemade wine And if the sun don't come up tomorrow People, I have had a good time I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind You know the rednecks and the preppies They're in their discos and honky-tonks Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace Lord, I know just how they feel You gotta get out and kick it up your heels And ain't it great to be living in the USA Me, I'm laid up here in a Country state of mind Catching these fish like they're going out of style Drinking this homemade wine, all the time If the sun don't shine tomorrow People, I have had a good time I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind
hey great singing folks. This is a true country singer. Best of luck to him. Hope he keeps it up. I just wonder where did Brian ever find him? Anyone out there know? mosrite60
He started as a country musician, not as an actor. Then he got picked up by Different Strokes. I think there is an episode where he plays and sings on there. I know I saw him back the day, playing and singing. I haven't been able to find that on here
brendalg4 It would be nice if someone uploaded the clip where he was singing on Different Strokes. I remember that episode and was blown away by his voice! He was an exceptionally talented country singer.
According to Paul Dini, Danny Cooksey was good for the role because he could do a "tremendous mean voice." Cooksey was also the only voice actor in the cast who was not an adult.
If this is from 1989, it must’ve been a year before he did the Salute Your Shorts show on Nickelodeon (and two years before his role on Terminator 2). Somehow he looks a lot younger than that… but we can see he was already growing his trademark mullet. 😄
Can't believe this is the same person I just spent my 40th birthday with over the weekend. He's the best. And yes, he sang to me

KoolCat ! What town in oklahona

Nice job Danny!
Danny"Sam" Cooksey did a real fine job on that song. Enjoyed him on Different Strokes and enjoyed him very much here. Congrats on a fine job.
He was also budnick on salute your shorts
Always loved hearing this kid sing. He has such a good voice, and country music was a great fit for him.
Don't know how i ended up here but Danny sounded really good!
Such a rich and powerful voice !
mind blown
country isn't my go to music but i'd listen to him
Katherine McFarlane
He makes country music great
Haha I thought the same
Katherine McFarlane Me too! Danny was in a hard rock group (Bad4good), but it was not a good fit for his voice in my opinion.
Danny Cooksey is awesome!!!!!!!
Lol he was actually pretty good. I'm not into country but I stuck around for the whole song.
He was the singer for teenage metal band Bad4Good
America was great back then
WOW ! I didn't realized Danny had such an amazing voice
Check out Bad4Good
joshtechsoldier every kid sings great prior to puberty.
According to Paul Dini, Danny Cooksey was good for the role of Montana Max in Tiny Toon Adventures because he could do a "tremendous mean voice." Cooksey was also the only voice actor in the cast who was not an adult
@@snakehips3131 lol good voice but shit band
I mean, he’s a musician

They were awesome! I really wish they would have taken off...they interviewed on headbangers ball and were so adorable
He's was born November 1975, so he would have been 17 or 18, depending.
He would have been 13 or 14, here.
Got this song toasted, roasted and burnt to a crisp!
Hold the heck up, this is the same surly and ornery Budnick here?!
I love Danny Cooksey...my favourite , him is wonderful!!! "Country State of Mind "💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖💖
I know and I love it to.
Great comments!
Nice fist-pump at the end Danny!
The ginger mullet kid from Terminator 2.
I have never realized that he also voiced as "Montana Max" (Tiny Toon) for a decade.
Also lead singer for the Band Bad4Good created by Steve Vai. All band members were teenagers.
2 years later he became the singer of a hardrock band formed around teen guitar virtuoso Thomas McRocklin called Bad 4 Good. They released 1 cd that was produced and co-written by guitar God Steve Vai.

Love you Sam
You great
Great Job!
He's a talented dude.
Budnick?!? WTF?
I was thinking the same thing. He did show off his singing talents a few times while on Diff'rent Strokes from 1984-1986. Wonder if he still belts out the tunes these days?
Montana Max bro...
Budnick is the man!!
@@eltravo2112 ruclips.net/video/nS5SOWPmqYo/видео.html
guess so
He should've done something like this on Salute Your Shorts during a campfire scene.
He sang very good.
GOD has really blessed him. How? Growing up after a stint on Different Strokes. Sadly some of the kids became drug addicted, but Cooksey escaped somehow and is alive and well living in California. Jesus is Love
He became a drug addict as well.
That hot, old summer sun
Make you beg for your next breath
So, you best be on the creek bank
Laying in the shade
Chewing on a hickory twig
Pass that bottle, I'll have me a swig
I ain't got a lot but I think I got it made
In the shade
I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind
Catching these fish like they're going out of style
Drinking this homemade wine
Hey, if the sun don't come up tomorrow
People, I have had a good time
I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind
I bet the old man's in the kitchen
He's got my kind of music on his radio
Aah, drinking his beer and
Dialing up the request lines
Mama and old Aunt Joan probably in the
Dining room trying to use the phone
Me, I'm thinking about that girl and later tonight
I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind
I'm catching these fish like they're going out of style
I'm drinking this homemade wine
And if the sun don't come up tomorrow
People, I have had a good time
I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind
You know the rednecks and the preppies
They're in their discos and honky-tonks
Somewhere between raising hell and Amazing Grace
Lord, I know just how they feel
You gotta get out and kick it up your heels
And ain't it great to be living in the USA
Me, I'm laid up here in a
Country state of mind
Catching these fish like they're going out of style
Drinking this homemade wine, all the time
If the sun don't shine tomorrow
People, I have had a good time
I'm just laid up here in a country state of mind
Only 2 years before Salute Your Shorts and T2? Damn.
But many years after Diff'rent Strokes! This kid was all over the place on TV through the 80s/90s- just mostly bit parts outside of those 3 I think.
Budnick is the man!!! I loved him in Terminator 2 and Salute Your Shorts.
I didn't know Bobby Budnick was a country singer.
hey great singing folks. This is a true country singer. Best of luck to him. Hope he keeps it up. I just wonder where did Brian ever find him? Anyone out there know? mosrite60
I remember him singing "silent night" on Mr Belvedere's show.
Wow John Connor friends :)
Nice music
I remember him from different strokes
I remember him from solute your shorts.
My name is Spiro, and I like this song!
Wow! I didn't know Hotstreak could sing! I'm impressed
So Danny Cooksey is a singer and a voice actor
Yep.
Maurice Njuguna I agree with you 100% Percent!
He also plays multiple instruments. He was a series regular on Different Strokes
OMG... the kid could sing. Who knew? He did all those bit parts on TV and movies and he could've had a career as a country singer.
And sadly, Jack Spicer never got a Villain Song like all those respected cartoon villains.
Such talented singing from a 14 yro.
He was 13 here as he was born in '75, unless this was filmed on November 2nd- Dec 31st.
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Omg he killed it
Now I wanna hear him sing "Guitars Cadillac" by Dwight Yoakam.
I know right.
I had to RUclips him because I was watching T2 again.
Is this the Kid who saved John Connors life
He's really good!
Montana Max in real life;-)
According to Paul Dini, Danny Cooksey was good for the role because he could do a "tremendous mean voice." Cooksey was also the only voice actor in the cast who was not an adult.
That red mullet omg. He was so cute. I'm surprised he didn't do more.
Damnnnnnnnnn 👏👏👏👏👏
Wow. Big Top from The Little Clowns of Happytown sings country AND tells jokes. Cool!! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻
If this is from 1989, it must’ve been a year before he did the Salute Your Shorts show on Nickelodeon (and two years before his role on Terminator 2).
Somehow he looks a lot younger than that… but we can see he was already growing his trademark mullet. 😄
Terminator 2 comments ? Haha
Damn! Kid had talent!
I know right.
I know right
Dag! He sang the shit out out of that., impressive.
yeah brad
He can really sing!
Talented kid. Wish Bad 4 Good took off. They were good.
The moral of the story. Never talk to cops...
Mr. D would be impressed!
Danny cooksey
this is the voice actor for Jack Spicer from Xiaolin Showdown?! o_o
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
OMG he was really good!!! LMFAO
2 years after this he was the lead singer for a heavy metal band called Bad4good lol
I'm just an ole chunk of coal !!! Rock on Danny !!!
Sing it Sam
Sing it, Jack Spicer!
Danny needs to guest star on Abbott Elementary.
Look up his metal band called Bad4good. Produced but Steve Vai.
Danny still looks the same now that he did at 10 years old lol
He does have a good singing voice. Not bad for the voice of Montana Max on Tiny Toon Adventures.
Wtf is this is the T2 john connor friend?
Yep
Tim from the terminator!
I miss Bad 4 Good 내가 좋아하고 엄지척 해주는 Danny가 어린시절 뽕짝가수였다니..ㅋㅋ
The things I used to think of with Bobby budnick
I heard Sam singing on different strokes so I had to check him out
Dbone 2real Me too! I wish he did more with his singing than acting when he was young.
Thought that was Tanya tucker 😂
Didn’t know he could sing. The only time I heard him sing was his off-key screaming in the Salute Your Shorts intro: it make me wanna fart!
Bobby Budnick doing his thang
I never new he had red hair I thought he had brown
😂 when I was a child, this kid looked like a dangerous psychopath.
I thought the mullet was for Terminator 2....apparently not.
It was the style back then
Stoop Kid can sing!
I've heard him sing on Different strokes
Yet, he is afraid to leave his stoop.
Omg he looks just like Montana Max
Budnick 2020, not givin a fuck
I hope thw bonfire covers this
Bejabbers!
Danny should of went soo much further.
Holy shit 😲
Reba McIntyre looks and sounds great!
Malachi sure can sing
Is this dave from megadeth?
Do you know john connor?
how old was he
13 or 14
Bobby Budnick
From this to bad4good wtff
Billy Bobby Budnick
I didn't know danny bonaduce could sing. Lol
That's Danny COOKSEY..Bonaduce was on Partridge Family 😉
I hated the “Sam” character. But, country music works for him.
What was wrong with Sam?
"Pass that bottle I'll give me a swig?" Great child voice but could use a better song selection a little more relatable.
I believe he could it made it past Garth & George
