If your like me and are are fully rebuilding the 230f, stick an socket extender through the connecting rod, should lock everything up nicely while trying to get the Flywheel nut loose. Still needed and impact gun though to get the bloody nut off lol
Great question, so yes it could work but you should have a heavily modify the timing chain in a few ways. The top end would need a spacer an new sleeve. I’m sure someone has done it but it’s a ton of work. Might as well just do a complete 230 swap
Great question! From what I’ve seen the gaskets are very similar. I don’t think I’ve ever tried to swap between the two bikes but honestly the bore is the same. The stroke is different, so I don’t see why the gasket wouldn’t work, but I wouldn’t recommend it. Unless you’re in dire need to get a bike back together and you only have one kit and I guess you could try it.
hi how are you, can you help me with a little problem I have with my crf230f? I bought a few days ago a used 2015 crf230f and I notice that the bike won't upshift at mid high rpms, it only upshift at very low rpms I can downshift perfectly at any rpms. Can it be the clutch plates? I ordered the tool to take off the clutch it should arrive in a few days, I already left the new friction plates soaking in oil. thanks man
Great question! So I’m not sure that the clutch plates would cause this issue. You may want to check for damage on the shifter rod and or the “star” on the side of the inner case. You can see the star after removing the clutch side cover.
@@SubscibeBikeGiveaway thank you man, I changed the gearshift star and the gearshift plate and now the bike shifts like a dream. Now I think I need to re jet, I took out the spark plug and it was a little too white, the bike came with a aftermarket exhaust and without the airbox snorkel, If i put back the stock exhaust can that help with the lean condition or without the snorkel the only option is re jetting? and again, thank you for helping me.
@@rushiiiop I’m glad you got it working! If you need to re-jet it pull the snorkel and go up 2 on the pilot jet. If you put a bigger pipe on you’ll need a bigger main jet as well. I’m not certain on the sizes. My recommendation would be to go up 2 from the stock
I have a question i hope someone can please help me out with.. so on my 230 the guard or the bracket held on by the 1 tapered philips head screw that holds the rocker wrist pins in place. My screw is completely sheared off. And i can not for the life of me find the guard or the screw online. Would i need to call or go to my local honda dealership ? Or is there a correct name for that guard itself. If anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated thanks so much !
My suggestion would be to go on Motorsport.com and type in your year make and model then click on OEM parts this will show you full schematics of your bike with the part numbers.

Heck yeah!
I watched the entire video for the put together and torque specs.
Thanks for tuning in we appreciate it. Hope it helped!
Clean Build! keep the videos coming!
More to come!
Fuel hose from drill with small bit on it to valve stem, lake it easier to lap, and slower rmp on drill . Just suggesting. Good video thanks
Thank you for the good idea I’ll try that next time!
Consulta hermano, la transmisión de crf 230 podría funcionar en un xr200????? Agradezco tu ayuda

just curious if the crf230f share the same size of overhauling gaskets with the xr200??
