In this video I rebuilt a 2005 crf150f top end with a new set of rings and valves as well as a timing chain.
    Cylinder head bolts: 24ft/lbs
    Valves (intake): .003
    Valves (exhaust): .005

Thank you for this video. My grandson and I installed a new cylinder, piston, wrist pin and rings this morning. I set the valves as shown, cam lobes down after timing it and adjusting the chain tensioner. So much good useful information! I have a shop manual too, but the video shows it better. You did a good job.

How bout the cheap top end kits i see. I know they’re not high performance would they work in a crf125 or would you just go oem. I don’t know if I need a cylinder head or not at all. It’s a 2020 and smoking on startup also while riding. Not visually. You can smell it , the oils getting dark fast and losing oil. Needs oil every few rides. I do oil every 15 hours ish. Few times a summer
