In the past month I’ve started saving $40.00 a month. I’m on disability so you know how much I’m sacrificing. I’ve also been making the soups that you show us and I can get 3 suppers out of it. Great savings. I’m using from my pantry and only going to store every 2 weeks to get milk and eggs. Saves me a lot. I wouldn’t have done it before but I’m learning to be more frugal from you two. I don’t decorate with anything but what I have and it’s saved me money. I also now know how to only use my car when I grocery shop, so I pick up medication at the same time.
Loved your video today and the little house changes.
Could I ask where you got your compost container? Love 💕 and Hugs. ❤❤❤
I always enjoy your warm and kind videos filled with country charm and good hints and tips. I'm preparing for fall by switching my summer clothes with my warmer fall and winter clothing. I'm also switching to winter tires beginning of October. I love how you make recipes in your kitchen with us. I'm a Canadian so don't enter me in contest. Congrats on all your followers. Have s great week!!❤ Sue
Linda, the composter came to us for free from our local Cornell Co-op!
Emily I am adding to my panty and making sure I know where my warm blankets and sheets are.
Dear Emmy,😄
Not feeling overlooked AT ALL because of living in another hemisphere.
Just wonderful, even a little magical to have like minded friends like you and Paul to spend time with and appreciate the real things life offers.
Cheers and have a blessed weekend.
Xx
Merryl, you are a gem! Thank you! So very kind and understanding!
Getting ready for fall is challenging here in Wisconsin: one day it’s in the 50’s and the next it’s up to the high 80’s. Fall is actually here when the first few flakes of snow flies and quickly melt when they reach the ground. We rake our leaves into the street and the city picks them up. I also start adding soups to my menu plan for the week. My favorite! Congratulations on 55,000 subscribers! You guys are so positive and informative I predict 100,000 by the spring!
Oh that is so very kind of you to say! Thank you!
I’m getting ready for the cooler temps and trying to walk or ride my bike more than driving.
Sounds great!
To prepare for autumn/cooler weather, I’m restocking food and other supplies, as well as continuing to harvest the last of my garden. Also getting out my fall decorations.😊
Wonderful!
Emmy: The comforter was perfect! I am in the midst of preparing for winter: stacking wood, getting fireplace cleaned, canning green beans and tomatoes, pruning the perrenials, digging the potatoes, and also recycling the soil by composting. We pick up a big bucket of manure from a farmer to add to our compost. P.S. I picked up 10 lbs of red potatoes for $3.99! I'm going to make hubby his once a year potato salad! Freezing shredded zucchini in muffin tins, then bagging to use in soups and stews this winter.
Great price on the potatoes! Thanks so much!
Autumn is so beautiful! The crisp air and the changing colors, I just love it. We are cleaning up the yard of excess dog toys and chicken waterers, putting away the lawn furniture. We have windows open, now that it is cooling down, putting away the air conditioning units into the basement and doing basically an "autumn clean" throughout the house. (Same as "spring clean" but for autumn).
Thank you for all that you and Paul do on your channel to entertain us, educate us and by sharing your tips and tricks in so many areas of life/living. 🍂
So kind of you to say, Krista! Thank you!
My fall preps - stocking up on foods to make cold winter meals, buying foods for the holidays, stocking up on personal care items (went to Dollar General Store and found amazing items for $1.00), getting blankets and throws washed, detail cleaning for the holidays, cleaning all the flower beds, doing the last mowing of the yard (1+acre), taking donations to the local church and reorganizing my pantries. Also, "Congratulations" on reaching 55K subscribers!! Could you think about having Paul doing more outdoor/indoor winter preps for the house. For those alone it is so helpful and gives us time to hire these jobs out if we can't do those tasks. 🙏 I hope you do some shows on holiday prep, gift ideas, etc. They are some of my favorite shows. Thank you
That would be helpful.
Great idea Angela!
Always shop at food Lion when in Myrtle. When my kids were little they called it the Lion King. 😂
LOL! Great store!
I buy bigger bulk items in the Fall, like toilet paper and laundry detergent. Of course I look for sales, but it's easier to bring bigger items in the house before the bitter cold and snow arrives
27:50
Thanks, Karen!
Love your videos! We’re also unplugging our garden, getting plastic on windows (our windows are old & drafty), unpacking extra blankets. It’s “hoodie” time, we love it!!😊
Come spring, you may want to look at replacing the windows,to save money.
That is awesome!
We are welcoming Fall here by doing simple pumkin decorating inside and outside. I wanted to make our small home more cozy by putting out my cute fall deocrated sofa pillows and small autumn themed blankets. This year we discovered two country farms where we picked up a lot of mini pumpkins that we are using tio make little centerpieces and hanging corn for the squirrels to pick on since the weather is turning cooler here in the midwest where we live. I also love making homemade applesauce in my mini crockpot to add a little tweat to our dinners and it doubles as a wonderful natural scent that fills our home!
Sounds so cozy and warm!
I saw you at the church sale 😊 I should have said hi.
Oh my gosh! I wish you would have come up to us! we love to meet our viewers!
@@FrugalMoneySaver I passed you walking in, and thought: where do I know her fom? Then it dawned on me, youtube! 😁
In Florida getting ready for fall is a little different than most of the rest of the country here if you blink, you might miss fall altogether so decorating for the autumn season color leaves, pumpkins, corn, stocks, and such. That’s how we get ready for fall. It’s really a celebration of the end of summer.😊
Love that!
Hi, greetings from Canada. Love Dixie , she is so funny.
What I am doing to prepare for fall is absolutely nothing. 😂.
Congratulations on 55,000 subscribers🎉
LOL! Thank you!
We are getting ready for Autumn by taking stock of our pantry and replenishing needed items, doing any needed maintenance of our home for the upcoming winter, restocking school supplies for our grandchild’s homeschool year, changing linens, blankets and decor to a Fall theme, making sure our family (including our pets) have what they need to stay warm and cozy through the cooler months.
Exactly! Thanks so much for sharing!
Thank you for another fantastic video!! Getting ready for Fall for me mostly means sadly slowly taking down the garden and freezing what I can. Today I had to take the basil down a bit early (as I mentioned on live, lol!) because my husband and I are going away for over a week and don't want to risk coming home to wilted basil. We got a whole bunch of tomatoes and I'm going to turn it all into pasta sauce I can put into freezer bags for later. Unfortunately being in Canada I won't be able to enter, but what a thoughtful idea and I am sure whoever wins will appreciate the gift. Congratulations on 55k subscribers, well deserved!
Thanks very much, Nyssa!
To prepare for autumn I start in the summer by making sure the oil tank is full for the cold weather at the best price I can find over the summer. Something I do in the fall is put away summer clothes and take out sweaters and blankets. I also make sure the fireplace is cleaned and ready to make a cozy fire when it starts to get chilly.
Thank you for showing us how you handle your daily life. It is so entertaining and enjoyable to watch how grateful, resourceful and loving you and Paul are. Stay well.
Thank you, Barbara! You as well!
I’m stocking up my pantry and freezer now just to lighten the financial load a little during all the holidays. Thanks for all your videos❤️
Yes, us too!
Getting prepared filled up oil tank had my burner checked and serviced as well as change batteries in my smoke and flashlights ect..my freezer in well stock as well is the pantry I by a couple of extra food items for storage just in case and with rising prices it's a win win love to extra cake and brownies fixings for those treat nights! We even made sure my car is in good shape for apts and needs.thank you Emmy and Paul your videos are the best😊😊
We just called for oil today too! It will come Monday!
I'm in Florida, so getting ready for fall means starting tomato, green bean, and a few other seeds! We'll start peas and carrots in a couple of months. We'll also do some tree trimming and yardwork that's difficult to do when it's very hot and rainy. :)
Oh how wonderful to have fresh food all year!
Congratulations on 55K plus subscribers, Emmy and Paul!❤🇨🇦
Thank you so much 😀
Love Your jam packed videos, I wish they were longer!
Oh Lord, I have never had an official “planner” I would love to have this one, it’s beautiful!
For fall we pulled up our summer garden about a month ago, we have 3-4x8 raised beds. My husband got the soil ready and we planted organic red potatoes that we bought early and spouted ourselves. We planted 2 beds full of potatoes and, the last bed will have a row of cauliflower, a row of broccoli and a row of cabbage.
I already grow green onions all year long. I’m in Louisiana. ⚜️💜💛🏈
Then in a few weeks to a month, we will clean all beds out, get rid of summer flowers and plant petunias! Hopefully our snapdragons we had in spring will reseed for spring next year!
Thank You! ❤
We had periwinkles that reseeded like crazy and balsam, and purslane, coxcomb or Celosia so, we didn’t spend much money on any plants except 3 mini knockout rose and veggie plants. My brother in law brought us 3 blackberry bushes and will produce in the spring! So excited
Wonderful comment, Irene! Thank you!
Another great video! Autumn here means putting the raised garden beds to sleep. Working in harvested the last of the tomatoes hoping the green ones ripen well in the garage. Lots of crock pot soups will become our fall staples. 🍁🍂🍁
Wonderful!
I am going through recipes and restocking my pantry. Rotating my clothes from summer to fall/winter and my bedding. I love a cozy blanket in every room. Congratulations on reaching 55,000 subbies! Keep giving us all your great tips!
Love that! Thank you!
Huge congratulatioms on 55+K subscribers....I still remember when you hit each milestone😊 these past 3 years..its been nice to go on your journey. Thank you for sharing your life on the opposite coast. Its been fun...
Thank for sharing your little house updates and your garden too...awesome.
I decorated inside and out for Fall when September arrived..Fall brings so many things this year....
Our 40th anniversary, our boys birthdays, Halloween/pumpkin patch fun with the grandsons, trip to Texas, niece' s wedding, walnut season, cooler weather, Baking,etc.....i can ramble on and on....more than I just did...
Enjoy life!🎉😮
Wonderful celebrations and events coming up for you! Enjoy!
Another great video Emmy and Paul!😊👍
That beautiful artwork looked superb on the wall in your little house. I was excited to see where you were going to put it and it looks lovely. Loved your bargains, especially the tea towels and dishcloths. Dixie made me laugh when I saw her sitting on the bed on top of your nice bedspread. She's an absolute darling and brings a big smile to my face every time! That soup you made looked so delicious too. I always enjoy watching your videos and you always have such a good mix of content on each one. You're such a good team😊. Congratulations on 55,000 subscribers! I'm so pleased for you 👏👏👏🎉🎉. It's a lovely, positive and inspiring channel. Thank you again for being a blessing. May God bless you both. ❤
Yvonne, thank you for the lovely comment! God Bless you as well!
Fall in Minnesota means cleaning up the yard. Putting all the outdoor lawn ornaments and tools 25:40 away, getting plastic on the windows to keep out the cold and lower the utility costs. Finish harvesting the vegetables and fruit. Then it's time to preserve them various ways. Changing out the blankets to heavier quilts on the bed. I could go on and on....its a busy but wonderful time of year.
We agree Dawn, thanks!
Fall preparations include deadheading flower beds, buying weekly on sale items for our family Christmas dinner, and today the workers arrived to begin replacing the roof! Arrgh! Not at all a frugal project but we will be warm and fully protected when the winter winds blow!🌬❄️☃️ Thanks for all you do and share!
Thanks for watching!
Huge congratulations to you both on getting 55,000 subscribers but then you are the BEST RUclips channel and deserve only the very best here’s to 60,000 🎉🍾🥂well Done Emmy and Paul 💐
Thank you so much 😀 What an encouraging comment!
Great idea on keeping the spinach leaves dry and fresh until they can be used up. I need to do that as I often lose the last half of any container of greens I buy. Thanks!👍
Glad it was helpful!
Fall prepare is clean up yard, change out throws and pillows, change from summer dishes to fall, and declutter closets! O also rearranged some furniture!!
Great ideas!
I am getting ready for autumn by shopping early for Christmas gifts and planning holiday meals. Also picking up a few ingredients every week for our holiday meals. We're going to try and up our frugal game this year by making a popcorn garland with the kids this year! ❤Love your videos!
Now that sounds like fun!
I’m getting ready for autumn by putting the perennials and garden to bed, adding spent yard greens to the compost, covering the beds with leaves, putting away bird baths and fountains before freeze, and watching for discounted bird seed to have for winter bird feeding. I love this time of year for exercising outdoors and bonfires on crisp evenings with friends.
Yes, the crisp air is so wonderful!
Hi Emmy, I've prepared for fall by decorating my house with my knitted and sewn pumpkins and fall foliage. I've also gotten out our fleece blankets for the couches and chairs. Also, have bought some cooking ingredients that I'll need for holiday cooking.
Sounds great!
Getting ready for fall! My 12 year old granddaughter loves to decorate my home seasonly. When she gets ready to decorate we decide what day and make it a celebration. Her dad will get our fall tube down from the attic and I will add anything that I have purchased throughout the year from thrift stores. She does a wonderful job and I enjoy the time we get to spend together. She has been doing this since she was a little girl.
Oh what a lovely tradition! So wonderful!
I love Fall!! We are doing weekly pantry stock ups for the pantry and making sure we have necessary medical supplies. We live in Tennessee where stores close if it snows. We need to be prepared in case that happens.
That's so smart!
cleaning, cooking, restocking, loving cooler nights... love Dixie!!
Thanks so much, Karen!
Congratulations on 50,000 subscribers! We are preparing for fall by stocking our pantry and freezer with goodies from local farm stands and our garden. Our barn is stocked with hay for winter months. I enjoy your “use it up” recipes! Thank you for making me more aware of using everything before it spoils!😊
So happy you enjoy our videos, Lorie!
Putting our garden containers to sleep for the long winter days ahead. We pulled the heavier clothing out and turned the heat pump off to start our game of how long we can go before we turn on the heat again. Inventoried holiday baking supplies. Coated our boots. Matched our gloves. And topped off some of our pantry items. Whoops! almost forgot our flu shots. We get them on our anniversary. Thanks Emmy and Paul, I love watching your channel. You exhibit kindness, strength and strong family core values.
Such a lovely compliment! Thank you!
I love the quilts and Paul's artwork. ❤️ Dixie is such a cutie! 🥰 Fall is my favorite season even though it's crazy hot here in Texas. I decorate with my fall wreaths, light my fall candles and pretend it's fall! 🤣
LOL! Love that!
I’ve been canning our garden harvests… and they have really been producing.
Also, baking loaves of zucchini bread.
We’ll soon be putting our veggie gardens to rest.
Us too!
We're weeding, cutting back the plants needing it, spot reseeding grass, and trying to start a compost for next spring for our first garden. Thankfully we have you and Paul to guide us.😊❤
Oh yes! Paul inspired me to start a compost as well 😄
YAY! Thank you!
Fall brings my church’s annual fall festival so I’m busy making decor items for the “country store” with foliage, pumpkins, etc. that I bought last year at 75%off and stored until this year! Congrats on 55K! Enjoy those delicious NY State apples 🍎😁I miss apple picking in the Hudson Valley orchards.
They are so wonderful!
I am planning on making broths for fall and winter soups, and will start prepping for my holiday menus and holiday gift shopping.
Great idea!
Inventory/stocking of pantry and freezer. preparing for bad weather: Salt/Shovels/ Car. Etc. Exchanging summer clothes for fall and winter ones. Making sure every one has gloves, scarves, coats, boots. Preparing home for cold weather, winter blankets, comforters, flannel sheets. Inventory for holidays. Patio garden tear down and preserving.
Thanks for sharing!!
So enjoyed hearing what everyone is busy doing this autumn season. I am doing very little as a Floridian, but I am looking forward to pumpkin pie with whipped cream! Love you guys!
The best!
Hi Emmy and Paul! What a smart thing to do putting your potted dirt back in the compost! While I was getting our suitcases from the attic for our summer vacation I brought down the fall decorations. I don't have many but it's still fun to put them out. I'm also using some of the pumpkins and gourds we grew for decoration too. We need to finish harvesting and then the big clean up of the garden and fall planting of garlic, radish, lettuce etc. As the temps drop I really look forward to apple picking, canning applesauce and apple butter and all the fall festivals. Time for warm drinks, crisp air and comforting foods! God Bless you two!
You as well, thank you!
So happy to see your beautiful video this evening! I look forward to hearing your updates each Tuesday and especially Friday! The quilt and art work you took to your South Carolina home look absolutely perfect! Certainly don’t worry about including me in your draw for the planner calendar as I live in Canada however we too are also prepping for fall by emptying the potted plants in the garden and compost . … cutting back the perennial plants and drying herbs in the shed.
Angela, thanks for the kind words!
Thank God for you two, positive people, in this harsh world...🤗 you really lighten up the day. Greetings from Sweden 🇸🇪
YAY! Thanks so much Gina!
I am decluttering my home to get ready for fall
Thanks, Dana!
My flannel sheets are in the washer now. And we've been filling our wood shed with firewood we cut and split last year. What we cut and split over the summer we will burn next year. And that is a never-ending job, as that is how we heat our home. It is good exercise outdoors and we've enjoyed working together on this for the past 35 years.
That's so wonderful!
It’s is beginning to look like fall here in NC!
YAY! lol!
Emmy, you have a lot of old sheds on your property, right?
Maybe paul, your son and brother can make one shed into a greenhouse for you.
Just an idea.
We are going through our cold weather gear, see what fits, what needs mending, what needs to be replaced.
Wash it all, little by little.
Thanks! Good idea!
I am making soups and freezing them for the upcoming fall and winter. I love your channel.
Sounds great!
I'm getting my raised beds ready for planting. I'm near PHX AZ and summers are too hot to garden so when October comes I get busy. I can garden till May or June. I've sorted my seeds and made a plan.
Wonderful!
It's hard to get ready for fall/winter when we are still suffering with 100* days in South Texas. But we are cleaning out the summer garden, getting ready to plant our root crops, greens, broccoli and cauliflower once the soil cools down. Keeping grasshoppers from eating tender, young plants is a challenge! Your videos are motivating, keeping the dream of cooler days alive. Thank you for all you share.
You are so welcome! Thank you!
Great video! Aside from normal fall yard work, we have been cleaning the car inside and out before the snow flies in Minnesota. Flannel sheets are on the bed and the closet has been switched to fall/winter clothes. Fall is my favorite season! I’m even beginning to plan for Thanksgiving and Christmas
Oh I love your enthusiasm!
We are getting our garden clean by gathering the last vegetables, then plowing so the soil rest over winter. Next clean flowers beds. I truly enjoy all of the tips and all recipes, I just enjoy everything. Remind me how my great aunt and uncle taught me how they did things the good old days.
Thank you so much.
You are so welcome! Thanks for watching!
I am stocking up the pantry and freezer to get ready for fall. Hy-Vee had a $.99 cent sale today so I picked up cottage cheese (1), cream cheese(2), green beans and corn (3/$.99) (6), pasta,(1) chunky soup,(2) chocolate chips (2), peanut butter(1) and whole chickens (.$99/lb) (2) and eggs (1), all for $.99! My whole bill was only $24.36 with tax and the chickens are 5 lbs apiece, nice size. I put the peanut butter and chocolate chips back for Christmas baking. They limited you on eggs to one but I was thrilled to get at least one. Aldi's here has had eggs for $1.22 a dozen so they have come down from pandemic pricing but I like $.99 a dozen even better! I've also gotten out my fall decorations and made my first batch of pumpkin bread and a pot of beef barley soup. Your soup looked delicious in this video by the way. See ya next week!
Vicki, wonderful stock up prices!
Have a wonderful weekend to you and yours!
Thank you! You too!
The way I prepare for Autumn is the month of August! It’s my favorite season! I want to enjoy everyday whether it’s warm outside or cold. I enjoy the smell off in the distance of wood burning stoves, the crisp fall air and the squirrels’ carrying the acorns’ into their hiding places. I start to cook warm dinners’ and homemade apple crisp. I also put a simmering pot on my stove with apple peels’, water, cinnamon, nutmeg, slices’ of oranges’ cloves’,etc. I leave it on all day! Simmering with the smell of Autumn! I feel so grateful and blessed to have beautiful seasons’ where I live. God bless you all!Happy Autumn!!!🍁🎃🔥
You as well, thank you!
Congratulations on 50,000 subscribers 🎉🎉 to prepare for the cold weather our family chops wood for our wood burning fireplace, we stock extra food and go through our winter clothing. Washing coats and seeing if we need new winter hats and gloves. We love to have fresh, clean, coats after being in storage.
Yes, so true!
Great video! I don't know if you know this, but I did learn fresh spinach doesn't have any nutritional value. You get the nutritional benefit when it's cooked only.
I was eating all this fresh spinach only to learn that.
You got some great buys!
Flannel sheets already.
Have a good weekend.
No, I didn't know that...will look into it though!
To plan for autumn I am drying my herbs to put in jars. A friend gave me a ton of figs so I've also been canning fig preserves. Here in S.E. North Carolina the leaves don't really change color and I miss that about autumn. (I'm originally from VA). It's nice of you to give away gifts to your viewers. 😊
Thanks so much! We are happy to do it!
Getting the mindset for Fall isn’t easy here in Florida. It has been 92 degrees everyday. I did put out my Fall decorations today so at least it feels like Fall inside with the AC going! Congratulations on your subscribers!
Oh goodness how I long for that weather come January lol!
Congrats on 55K+ subscribers. I love fall. Retired in February and moved back to Michigan where I grew up, and the changing leaves are beautiful. Only two trees in our new yard, so not the raking we've had in the past, but that could be a blessing considering the snow we will be shoveling before we know it. Thanks for all the tips and recipes.
Thanks for watching, Julie!
In New Orleans we don't have a true Fall season (leaves changing, cooler weather) so I have to create a fall atmosphere!! I looove to decorate my house with fall decor and put yellow and orange mums in my garden!! On Saturdays I do the apple cinnamon spice potpourri in my crock pot for the fall smells and put on college football for the fall sounds while I clean my house!! Happy Fall everyone!! God Bless!!
You as well Connie, thank you!
Congratulations on 55,000 subscribers that is fantastic! I'm getting ready for fall by freshening up all of my sweaters. I am also putting flannel sheets and the quilts on the bed. The heat can be lowered when we have cozy warm sweaters to wear. I enjoy your channel so much with all of the helpful frugal tips you share.
Thanks so very much!
I look forward to your tips , recipes show and tells every week . You never disappoint . Love sweet Dixie and miss Lorice so much 😢
So kind, Liza! Thanks so much!
Autumn is the most glorious season for me. I feel myself come alive with the crisp smells and delightful weather. I enjoy preparing apples in all ways possible 🍎🍏🍎
So wonderful!
Making cream of broccoli soup to put in the freezer, while at the same time making a chicken, broccoli, onion, carrot, and bean sprouts into a stir fry. (A clean out the refrigerator dish). I am finishing out my garden, I picked the rest of my tomatoes and they are ripening on the kitchen table. I picked a bowl full of peppers and canned some pepper jelly yesterday. I got some beef bones and used my crockpots to make bone broth. These bones were so big that I was able to add more vegetable scraps and water and cook them down a second time. I added some vinegar the second time of cooking to get the most marrow out of them. So I added 12 quarts of beef bone broth to my pantry. I am freeze drying basil, and cilantro, and I am dehydrating the stems to powder for extra herb uses. My beef bones are in the dehydrator too, so I can make bone meal out of them for my bulbs in the spring. No waste here.
That's so resourceful, Elizabeth!
Fall means cleaning up the garden and putting it to bed. Fall cleaning of the house and bringing the crockpot out for fall and winter soups! ❤❤love to you and Paul.
You as well, thank you!
Love your videos! Just stocked up on winter squash , avocados 69 cents, and red bells 79 cents . Will be doing some freezing and dehydrating
Wonderful prices!
Hi Emmy and Paul. The picture Paul created looked so amazing in the little house and the comforter looked so cosy, especially while sweet Dixie was on it. I have already roasted a bushel of red peppers, made stuffed eggplant, cabbage rolls and stuffed red peppers for the freezer. I also bought a bushel of Romano beans that I shelled and portioned out in vacuum sealed bags for freezer. Still would like to try to can beets, which I’ve never done before. I’m tired to say the least but stocked for the winter lol. Oh I forgot also processed two bushels of tomatoes into homemade tomato sauce. The soup looked amazing 😋. Take care. Have a wonderful week ❤️❤️
Toni, you have been one busy lady! So inspiring! You have a great week as well!
My house was been decorated for Fall / Halloween for a few weeks. I am now stocking up on Fall food item such as soup ingredients and cans of pumpkin.
Great ideas, Latesha!
Fall prep will start with me putting all the pool supplies away. Chairs, umbrella, tables all go into the garage and a room off the kitchen. Need to change the furnace filters, clean the garage and cover the outside water faucets. Then into the house to change decor and break out the blankets for beds and living room/tv room. I’m going to look for a golden acorn squash. Haven’t seen those before.😊
Debi, we'll let you know how the squash was!
Congrats on 55K!
Fall is cleaning up the yard and readying for winter. Beautiful colors, cozy sweaters and hot tea or cocoa.
Thanks so much!
Congrats on 55,ooo subscribers. I sure enjoy you and Paul's channels. I got all my fall decorations out of the storage. I cleaned out and organized my pantry. I love this time of year.
We do too!
Hi Emmy and Paul! Congratulations on 55,000 subscribers! To prepare for fall I decorate with a few fall decorations that I have in stored away. Later, as it starts to cool, (live in a warmer climate) I will put away our extra fans and dig out the jeans and sweaters. It’s quite exciting and my favorite time of year with the cooler weather, pumpkins, and fall colors.
Sounds great!
I’m getting ready for Fall by preparing my garden for lettuces, kale, and carrots 😊
That is awesome!
I absolutely love this time of year. Cooler temperatures are such a relief and the fall colors are so beautiful.
I've hot my fall decorations out, but there's still quite a bit to do. We'll put the flannel sheets on the bed, bring in the rest of the summer garden and harvest the fall veggies when they're ready. It's also time to swap out the tshirts for sweaters.😂😂😂
Yes, thanks for sharing!
Today was grocery day for us. I came across my husband's favorite instant oatmeal flavors on sale 3/$5, so I picked up 6 boxes even though it's gonna be about another month , really, before it's cold enough to eat them. Also, my husband loves to drink black tea from Turkey (Turkish chai) during the colder months, so I'm looking to order that pretty soon. It's been lovely here to have the house open - it still gets warm in the middle but is bearable.
Wonderful!
Congratulations on your 55,000 subscribers! My husband is getting ready for fall by working on the garden and landscape for winter and next spring. I love to decorate with the beautiful fall colors and prepare for the holidays. Buying extras spices, flour, etc. Planning on freebie activities around our beautiful Arkansas Ozark area. May you two be blessed TFS!!
Thanks, you as well!
I am freezing my extra eggs this FALL. To prepare for winter.
Sounds great!
Hello Emmy and Paul! Another great program today. Paul, the art looks amazing, great job! Emmy, we too have a little house, ours is in Michigan, inherited from my parents. Our kitchen is so 70's but I love it as it's my childhood home. We have the wood paneling as well on a half wall. I've grown to accept it as it fits the decor and feeling of the house. The soup looks delicious, but will have to wait a little while, as summer has decided to put up a fight before leaving this weekend. ;) Have a wonderful weekend dear ones and give a hug to Dixie from me. Donna xo
Donna, you have a great weekend as well, thanks!
Those little pumpkins make delicious pumpkin syrup for coffee or whatever you want to drizzle it on
We are preparing for the Fall. This is going to be my first autumn in over 40 years. We moved from Florida to the mountains of Tennessee. We are going through our clothes deciding what will be warm enough (not much!) and what we will need. Scouring thrift stores and consignment shops has been helpful in finding jackets, hats, and gloves.
Oh how fun! Lovely time of year!
Clearing the gardens of plants that are done producing, starting my inside garden greens and canning the last of the tomatoes. I am also planting garlic in a week or two. Then planning for next year’s garden starts! Thank you Emmy and Paul for all you do!
Garlic is a great idea!
To prepare for Autumn, I clean out the gutters, get the rake out to get ready for the leaves and prepare some of my favorite soups to eat and freeze.
Sounds great!
Hi Emmy and Paul, I live in a climate that is cool in the mornings and in the evening. Just yesterday, I pulled the woolen sweaters out of their
storage boxes. No moth holes ... hooray !!! Blessings to you and yours, always.
LOL! Yes, no holes are good! Blessings right back!
Freezing the rest of summer vegetables and stocking wood for the fires. I washed heavy bed linens and had them ‘sun dried’ on a hot day. I’ve organized my Christmas cards and gift list .😍
Very nice!
Your videos always give me such a pick-me-up! It's finally getting into the 80's and upper 70's where we live, which for us is letting us know fall is approaching. The geese are starting their migration south - love to see and hear them overhead! I am currently pulling out some of our spent summer vegetable plants, and replacing them with winter vegetables plants or seeds. Can't wait for those delicious leafy greens and brassicas!
Wonderful!
We are getting ready for winter by making sure we buy the salt necessary for snow melting, checking to make sure shovels are in good condition. Not chopping down the fig trees, vine tomatoes, hibiscus, herbs because they are still producing. Checking the grains, dried noodles, and sauces inventory to make sure we can get through bad weather without having to go out to get last minute.
Very smart! Thanks so much!
I started my fall by making sure I walk EVERY day. We have had such HOT weather in Texas that I hit and missed my outdoor walking. Another activity I have restarted for fall was go through my fall and winter wardrobe donations for women shelters in our community. Restocking my long term pantry items is another fall activity which I do. The new quilt is really nice as well as the new kitchen wall art in your S.C. home. Thanks again for your positive ideas and your easy recipes you share.
Love that! Thanks!
Ya'll always have the best ideas! Would absolutely LOVE to win a happy planner! Fall preparations down here in the south means also taking down our summer garden, putting away the planters and boxes. Storing away summer equipment properly, such kayaks and 4-wheeler and getting the house ready for the winter months ahead, such putting plastic in the windows, getting the heaters ready and blocking off the underflow to the house. Keep these great informative videos coming ya'll!😘
Thanks so much for the kind words!
Thank you for the wonderful video. I am getting ready for winter by getting out warm clothes, putting away summer items, stocking up on food by shopping sales, freezing vegetables and baking bread. Love your easy bread recipe.
Thanks so much!
I'm trying wintering my geraniums this year and bringing them out in the Spring to save a little money on garden flowers.
I was able to save one last year and it made it over winter, good luck 😊
This is my all time favorite time of year! Fall🍁🍂🍁
I will be out in the woods looking for branches, small logs, cones, leaves etc to create some free natural decor for around the house. This time of year always makes me feel so happy hear in Massachusetts, its so pretty as the colors change and apple picking is the best!
Thank you for the awesome video.
You are so welcome!
It is harvest season and I have been very fortunate to have been given a number of things from friends so am spending this weekend preserving -- I roasted 2 butternut squashes then scooped mashed and bagged it up in 1 cup bags to freeze for late use. I dehydrated the oregano I grew, strung up my tiny harvest of cayenne peppers (5 in total, with 2 more on the way) to dry naturally over the next few months and then crush for spice. Foraged wild beach rose hips and making rose hip jelly, juiced some raspberries from the freezer and making/canning raspberry lemonade concentrate and finally making/canning Concord Grape Jelly. Plan to dehydrate the raspberry pulp to make raspberry powder to use to flavor cookies, frostings, etc.. It is a busy season but I will be thankful come winter to have all this on the shelf. Enjoyed your video. Do not need to be in the drawing, I have a planner I like. Good luck to all the other viewers
Thanks so much for taking the time to share!
