I know you say to not do organic etc, but with your fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue, I would recommend at least avoiding seed oils. It causes inflammation which can cause those illnesses. Those diseases are awful. Something to consider. You have a beautiful garden so I don’t think you need to worry about organic. Here in the city it’s a bit different. But trying to save money, it is more expensive for sure. I buy organic if I can’t peel it. (Tomato’s, berries). I do love your channels. I have gifted your books to my kids and my parents. And I love it when you talk about the Lord. Not many these days speak with conviction like ya’ll do. It’s refreshing.
I am currently preparing sausage, fried potatoes and onions. Simple but good. I treated myself to your 3 cookbook set. Watching your videos has taught me to make adjustments in food and budget to meet my medical needs. I bought 8 bottles of lemon juice to add to the crystal light okayed by my doctor. 16 oz lemon juice added to 1 gallon crystal light per day. Thank you for teaching me skills that help make adjustment to keep me heathy.❤😂
I don't even want to think of the money I spent on drinks and take out when I worked outside the home. All these people who say giving up your fancy coffee takeout won't matter are wrong!
A pumpkin spice latte ☕costs 6.50$ x 31 days in a month is 195$ x 12 months in year is 2,340$ x 5 years is 11,700 which is NOT ENOUGH for down payment for an house. 🏠 So yeah gonna enjoy my coffee without giving damm.💖
@@telmomoreira7616 no guilt here! I don't really liketakeout and if I want to, I can afford to go to a nice restaurant now. I've learned my lesson and invested my money.
Cooked another large whole chicken in the crockpot. Shredded some for chicken and noodles. Made BBQ chicken with the rest. Part will be sandwiches and the rest for homemade tortilla BBQ chicken pizza. Yummy!
Yes. That’s good dinner. In winter love to roast potatoes and carrots in oven. Sometimes with a little chopped onion. Also heats up the house having oven on
My 2nd child once threw a tantrum over kale. He managed to pull himself together and ask nicely, so he got his kale. (Not how I would usually have handled that situation😉) He's a teen now, and I can safely say that one incident of "giving in" to a tantrum didn't spoil him. Plus, he still loves his vegetables. He ate a head of cabbage raw for an after school snack today. 😂
I heard you about buying drinks a long time ago. I buy family size tea bags and make a gallon of iced tea at a time. I also keep a 1/2 pitcher of water in my refrigerator. That's about all I drink. I tried giving your advice to some families, and they were literally screaming about milk and how the kids needed their milk, or their husbands had always drank a huge glass with their meals. Some people are a lost cause.
No deals like you mentioned in my area. I follow all the ads though, and get the best deals possible. And I shop at Aldi.....they have the best overall low prices in my area.
You said you put chicken on 2 shelves and rotate it older to newer, but than you said you have a chicken, ground meat, pork etc shelf and keep it all organized. Can you please explain. You have some wonderful saving tips. Thank you for sharing ❤🙏
I get my boneless chicken thighs from Walmart when they mark the packs down for quick sale. I look for the cheapest packs. I paid $2.30 a pound. I miss the days of $1.88 a pound.
I buy chipa on Sale, and hide them until we have BBQ's or lunches, I buy my food, and make Breakfast burritos, and bean and cheese burritos, freeze 12 of each my kid's would toss them in the microwave or if they had time cook them on the stove. I do get from Starbucks, only when they do a deal, to get stars double or triple days, if they have 15 stars if you buy a black tea, but it is a treat not every day. 😊❤
Great tips as usual Tawra! Our weakness is buying the large packets of chips, but I always buy them at half price. We probably go through 2-3 packets of chips per week shared out as a family of adults. Since watching you I try to buy almost everything when it's advertised at half price or less. Of course, some things are never reduced to half price, but I still try to only buy when on sale & we're definitely saving a LOT of money doing this. 🥰Blessings from South Australia💕🐨
It is not just what you spend on these drinks. It is also the extra money you spend on health problems from drinking carbonated, caffeinated, flavored, sugar water, or as I call it, 'liquid poison'.
My Save A Lot is not what it used to be. The 5 for $20 meat is now 5 for $25. They got rid of a lot of store brand stuff and put in a walk in cooler for beer and put in gambling machines.

We have the brand iSpring Water Systems installed under our kitchen sink. It’s reverse osmosis and makes the water alkaline. It takes up a lot of space but it’s definitely worth it. Tastes much better than tap water.
Herbal teas are good investment as I healed from adrenal fatigue using the right kinds that contain adaptogens. It took me 2.5 months to heal. Never went to the doctor. Just do your research to see about interactions of each herb with any medications you take and determine the dosage or spacing of teas.
@@citygal2198 I used a cold infusion blend that contained rooibos, hibiscus, chamomile, licorice root and orange blossom flavor that I'd have every other day. I'd switch it up with dandelion root tea at night (for managing my gastroparesis at the time) or some of the Celestial Seasonings apple cinnamon cider, but I stuck with the dandelion more as its the universal plant for many things (don't take if you're allergic to any in the daisy family). Overall, look into teas with any of the adaptogens such as licorice root, ashwagandha, holy basil, maca, ginseng, elderberry (or the elderflower), or reishi and cordycep mushrooms. Seven blossoms tea is a good choice for "system maintenance" each day or every other day since I healed from my fatigue. Also key for healing is rest, sunlight, and cod liver oil supplementation doesn't hurt. I especially love using lemon balm herbs in many foods as well. I also minimized caffeine and alcohol (only drank wine on occasion anyway). The time for healing will also depend on how long you've had the fatigue. I had mine for two months of burnout from a job that I couldn't handle anymore after nearly 2 years. Thankfully it was only a side job. Look up each and any herb's interaction with *any* medication you take as they operate just like typical medicine. I've been on an SSRI since age 9.
