    I really like it when in the field of concrete pumping, communication between the operator and the assistant or auxiliary pump is important when priming the pump unit at the time of pouring at the time of cleaning with water or compressed air is extremely important here in this video I see that communication for operators is something that goes hand in hand with safety hey nice video which I give it more than a ten excellent line cleaning with compressed air

      Does the hydraulic system of the system pump through the hydraulic cylinder rod or piston?
      what is the concrete pressure?
      what is the capacity of m3/hour?
      what is the speed on the main pump 1500? -2300?
      what is the cone of concrete?

    If it is a plasticizer, then it must be prepared at the factory by order?
    I'm very interested in what you add and for what purpose?

  • @christianwagner23
    @christianwagner23 Год назад +1

    Couple of questions. First of all, what engine do you have in that pump, second, when he says he “hammered the mud through” does he mean literally tapping the pipeline with a hammer? Lastly, when you said “sending it forward and backward like you would with a regular boom pump” is that actually how you would recommend dealing with a boom plug? No judgement here at all but I was taught from the beginning that pulling elbows was the quickest way to handle a boom plug vs trying to push it though. As with anything I’m open to new things and questioning my original teachings. As I’m sure you’d agree, there’s not just one way to pump concrete.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  Год назад +2

      The hammer tapping is more so just to track where the concrete is at in the pipeline. Whenever I’ve got rough mud and it’s getting crunchy before it even hits the second boom section I’ll take several stokes in reverse to pull the dry slug of concrete back which mixes it with the cream from the previous pipes which have already been primed. Working it back and forth methodically like this has been quite successful for me. Pulling elbows is usually my last resort. If working it back and forth isn’t doing the trick I’ll dump a bucket of bentonite primer into the tip-elbow and suck a sponge back with it. The hopper does obviously overflow. Once the sponge is back I’ll pop open the transition door, remove the sponge, button everything back up, and re-commence priming. If the sponge won’t suck back I’ll stand the boom straight up in the air and let gravity assist. If that doesn’t work I’ll attach the blowout cap to the tip-elbow and assist it with air while stroking in reverse. If that doesn’t work I’ll grab the tool box and start pulling elbows/pipes. Knock on wood, I’ve literally only once ever in my career had to pull an elbow on the prime. I should also mention though that we do have very forgiving materials in our area as well.

      @@user-zu2bw7ig5v definitely great learning experience for the operator it sounds like. Our mud up here is generally so forgiving that many boom operators I feel miss out on some of that forced learning which comes with battling the occasional nasty load. Super important in our market for guys to spend time on the line-pumps learning the mixes pumping through smaller diameter hose. A lot of that education is skipped over by jumping straight onto a boom in this market.

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  Год назад

      Hey Art, there’s roughly 2.5 cubic meters in the lines which gets blown back into the bin at the end of the pour. There’s a really cool video of a big outfit in Australia which actually water washes the concrete remaining in the lines right into the pour, minimizing waste:

    • @canadianconcretepumper1979
      @canadianconcretepumper1979  Год назад +2

      Most companies in our area have moved away from blowing back into the mixer due to safety, as well as logistical concerns. There were a few incidents locally in which the candy-cane came out of the mixer drum and it was a bad scene to say the least. It worked great the vast majority of the time, but there was always seemingly that one time in a thousand where things went sideways and it just wasn’t worth the risk. Totally agree, there’s no real right or wrong way to get the lines clean, all I can say is that since implementing the go-devil we’ve had zero issues with any sort of buildup in the pipes. The theory behind using a sponge first is that if there were for some reason even a small amount of residual buildup in the lines the go-devil could get stuck, whereas the sponge will pass over top of it and still get the lines at least empty prior to sending a go-devil through.
