This is not about Ibo, Yoruba and Hausa, it is about safety. For goodness sake leave the train tracks alone. Is it compulsory you stay in Lagos? If you don't have business in Lagos and the state is becoming too hot for you to stay go back to Ondo State or elsewhere you are from. Common now! Leave the tracks alone!!

But most of the people affected are Poor Yoruba women struggling to survive selling things on the track can't the government find a separate location for them for the Okada find an alternate location have a human face

@@heybaba77 , you made a valid point but being poor isn't a yardstick to make oneself vulnerable and opened to being killed by a moving train. Won't that add to the mystery of poverty one is battling with? I am a Yoruba man and i must say many of us don't have business been in Lagos and be going through all the hardship of seeking for unavailable accommodation and limited spaces to do business. There is no society without the poor and it is the responsibility of the government to keep them safe and cater for their wellbeing. One of the efforts to keep them safe is to dislodge them from the train tracks for safety and once that is done the people are now armed with the currency to demand to be catered for by the government. I sympathize and feel their pains but conducting transactions on train tracks isn't an option. That's my opinion anyway.

@@olufemiademulegun4800 l agree with your concern for safety but why not create some kind of shack stores for them to sell far away from this trains many of this women have families and they fend for them some of their husbands are not working at least have an alternative place they can stay let have a human face that all l ask l feel for this women

Largos State should build more infrastructure for mass transit, buses ,and trains . The population needs transportation. Build a Fence around the Railroad track as is done in most civilized Countries to avoid people from trespassing. Build a Large community markets for the traders to sell their wares. These are opportunity for Government to help organized the market and collect revenue from these people. The Government has an obligation too, to provide its citizens some basic infrastructure to make a living. Nigerian Local governments could be very wealthy if they know how to harness the great population and opportunity this situation creates.
