Watching 10 men arsenal hold of city at their own ground gave me Barcelona vs Chelsea 2012 vibes
city bottled a 1-0 lead but the media reserves that word for Arsenal. If we did the same thing ManCity did last night at our home ground the narrative would be very different. 1-0 up to 2-1 down, 45 mins playing against 10 men and needed a last minute goal to only rescue 1 point. If you've watched the match then you'll know that Trossard's booking was unfair because the ref blew the whistle when we was trying to control the ball from rolling and set for a free kick and when Doku and Silva did the same, they didn't get a booking and also there were a lot of moments like in the last few minutes when the City players mocked us but didn't get booked and gave a yellow to a player who didn't even play for 1 minute and it was his debut. The red card affected the game and the city fans were jealous by saying that "Oliver is a human and humans make mistakes" but in a interiew he told that he didn't give it so that the game won't be ruined. They say it was a foul on Ederson but Martinelli pushed him because he was trying to control himself because Gvardiol was holding him, Saliba couldn't see him because Ederson was behind him and he went in front of him to get the header and he came back to win the header but pushed Ederson and Gabriel scored it.

Calafiori and Gabriel both had an error on the first goal, both redeemed their errors.
Last goal was a lapse of concentration, you can see Jorginho screaming from the touch line to focus up before the quick corner. Lucky bounce, back of net.
Now with Rodri out, that was a massive +1 for us and -2 for them.

Honestly couldn’t agree with you more. Often the games won in the mind before a ball has been kicked. Arteta did get his tactics right and even despite playing with 10 men City were fortunate. Following the game the comments and behaviour of City players just goes to show that they did not expect the performance we gave them. There is a shift coming and City are not ready!

We've truly rattled their cage and they can't hack it. Ferguson did it to us back in the day , could'nt compete on a footballing level so used every trick in the dark arts book to upset us and annoyingly if you're honest - it worked. When Arsenal score it’s praise for Arteta overcoming Pep. But when City score nothing. Gabriel and Saliba both failed to stop our biggest threat from scoring. But no Arteta’s game was inch perfect. And as much as you can say it was 2-1 prior to Trossards idiocy. He is part of arsenals team - arteta has to take responsibility and so should all of Arsenal. You can’t be celebrating a half time lead. The game is 90+ minutes and at the end it was 2-2. No domination.
Hey Rory, yesterday you blamed Trossard for the shooting the ball away. I’ve rewatched the game today. I have counted the time between the whistle blow and Trossard kicking the ball. It’s around 0,5 seconds. He already made the decision to kick the ball before he heard the whistle. This is scandalous. This is actually worse than Rice’s second yellow.
Count in the context of it being the 57th minute, defending against arguably the best attacking team in the world, it is impossible to stop for Trossard.

Slight knee jerk reaction again from your Rory. The gap is certainly closer, but it's not closed. As attacking outfit, City are superior. Gains have been made by Arteta certainly. Arsenal look so much more assured and at the right level in this particular feature. I still think, though, a complete fit n firring City squad would beat Arsenal 9 times out of 10. A proper number 9 and a top wide player, then the playing field is levelled, just that little bit more.

Let's analyse the game: both teams started without 2 of their key players in KDB and Odegaard, and in the first 20 minutes City scored a goal (could've been 2 if Gundogan didn't miss that sitter) and completely dominated the game, it wasn't a competition at all Arsenal had 0 attack. Then Rodri got injured and went off, and it's in that moment that Arsenal started playing well, so no claiming Arsenal is better than City is bullshit as they had to wait for an injury to make the match an actual match and not a battering. Now let's look at the goals Arsenal scored, the first one was from a fk took way too distant from the actual position of the foul and without giving time to Walker to come back to his position after the ref called him. The 2nd one is a disgrace, there's clear foul on Ederson in the build up and there is no debate about that, just read the rules of football or simply look at Dias' disallowed goal against Liverpool last season. After that of course they parked the bus, everyone would've done the same when you have a lead away from home and without an attacker, but let's not act like parking the bus (which didn't even work since in the end they conceded) is some tactical masterclass, it's the easiest tactic ever. In other words, Arsenal was only able to draw against City after arguably their best player went off injured and with 1 arguably 2 irregular goals. City is still the best team in the country, now without Rodri it's hard but from what I've seen yesterday before the injury the result was clear

By playing a very defensive game with 10 man in the defense? A lot think that Arsenal played very well against City. All Arteta did was following the strategies of the bottom 5 clubs' style of football...that is just defend and time wasting. Everyone knows to win the league title, a team needs to be very very consistent week in week out. Can Arsenal do that? Most would say not a possibility. The last few seasons have shown only City and Liverpool can go on a long run of games...10 to 15 games winning. The only other team from London that can do this is Chelsea. Definitely not Arsenal.
