1. Avoid oil and sugar completely 2. Avoid or minimize simple carbohydrates like rice,maida,chana, potato etc. 3.complex carbohydrates like oats,dalia,can be taken in moderation 4. Protein and vegetables should be eaten along with 10 to 12 pcs of dry fruits for good fat. Protein source like chicken breast,egg, legumes/daalein, paneer,fish This diet not only reduce the cholesterol and triglycerides but also reduce fat.improve longgivity

Hi..my triglycerides was 451 few months back. I followed a strict diet..no oily food (excpt olive oil), no sugar (jaggery powder at times) and avoided carbs like bakery items, bread, buns etc. Had protein rich food and high fibre food. Add lot of veggies n fruits in ur diet. Of course n I started walking and worked out alternate day. I lost around 8 kgs and last month when i checked the levels came down to 202. The point is if its goin down naturally then y to depend on medicines. Even i was in the same dilemma but i din want to depend on any medication. The choice is urs.

Reduce carbohydrate intake, sleep 8 hrs in night. Walk minimum 45 minutes daily. If you work without sleep or habit of working late night then triglycerides keeps increasing.
Because fish mein good Cholesterol hota hai,Omega3 Fatty Acid,jo k bad cholesterol ko reduce karta hai.That's why unko heart related problems kam hoti hai .
