I carried one for quite a while. They do start to get heavy after some time, but still nice to know you have it just in case you need it. Stuff does have a tendency to fall apart when it's on the business side, and it wasn't uncommon for the stuff to be on fire as it fell apart too. I carried my 60 into a store (in a country other than The USA) to get a pack of cigarettes. The cashier wouldn't take my money for the smokes, and I had to assure him that I had every intention of paying for them because I didn't want it to look like I was intimidating, coercing or down right robbing them with a machine gun. It's not like I could leave it unattended on the truck and I'm not handing it to someone else for 'safe keeping' because the safest place for it to be was with me. I discovered that when you walk into a busy shop with a machine gun, people just instinctively get out of your way and insist that whatever you're shopping for is more important than anything anyone else has going on and move you to the front of the line. It's like magic or something.
Unlike most guns, M60s receiver is listed as a replaceable part and since they didn’t really make them since nam, most guys serving after 1980 complained about reliability and jamming but anyone before saw them as great
I'm not for all this remixed music/audio, but I low key really liked this choice of music. It fit the scene and actually complimented and enhanced the action.
I’ve commented this before but I got to say again that this was such an intense scene because so many things could’ve went wrong with Walt’s plan. They could’ve actually checked the trunk, the nazi’s could’ve kept a closer eye at the keys, etc. But then again, Walt didn’t really have anything to lose at this point.
He went there to kill Jesse and Jack and his gang because Walt thought that Jesse was Jacks partner cooking his recipe for Jack. Then when Walt sees Jesse is actually being held prisoner and forced to cook for Jack he decided to save Jesse at the last moment. If you remember when Hank and Gomi were killed Jack and Todd thought Jesse took off running through the desert but Walt snitched and told them Jesse was under the truck in hopes Jack would kill Jesse right then and there.
I find myself watching this whole scene at least once a year, absolute chills to this day from the day I saw it.
