i have not understood complete occurrences ie{2} . ie letters are there in the word friend. why it is displaying empty [ ]. But ee{2} is displaying the output as 'ee' 'ee' since both are in the word need.
e{2} is displaying output not ee{2}
Sir, I have paid attention to that. { } is a quantifier. {2} means must occur twice in row. ie{2} means macthing 'ieie', and there is no such pattern in the string.
Next, the pattern e{2} , NOT ee{2}, occurs twice as 'ee' in the words 'need' and 'deed', right?
