I love the cubs. Did live five years around 3 miles north of Wrigley field where the cubbies play when I lived in Chicago. Now I live in southern California for thirty six years. But still a Cubs fan. Their record is very good this year. First but barely in the division. Chicago has another baseball team the "White Sox" and they are from the south of Chicago. And in Chicago you are either Cubs or White Sox fan. Not both. White Sox is also very good this year. Who knows maybe in the world series it will all out Chicago teams. You also have a nice and cute sense of humor. Good day.

I can feel "homesickness" about other countries I lived in for a substantial part of my life. Though, I would probably not watch a German speaking about England, as we have the same cultural challenges. I'm subscribed to an excellent channel on North Korea and I follow a Japanese/American couple in Japan - though I have never been there. I watch a lot of documentaries about different countries. However, watching the British Bake Off or Maurice will soothe my England "home sickness". lol

Theory: People in general love to watch someone from a foreign country being introduced to their culture. I see very similar trends on youtube in other languages. And it doesn't work with English speaking countries because they are monolingual. I think speaking in a foreign language is important. You can't really watch someone speak fluent German and convince yourself that they know nothing about the country or culture. But that's just my theory as an *Austrian* (can you believe it?) who considers this his guilty pleasure but has to put up with all the Germany videos because no one cares or knows his country lol.

But, let me tell you about a failed RUclipsr, that means, me, in the shortest version I can. Autumn 2019, I had the idea of restoring my ancient VW T-2 (also known as the Bully), buy me a video camera, and as I have long hair and a beard, I would have named the channel "The Bavarian Hippie". I would have travelled, in 2020, first Bavaria, then maybe, according to viewer suggestions, other places, too, aside of the usual tourist roads. But then came the virus. The T-2 is sold. It made my heart bleed, but I needed the money. I will never get a car like this again, and I can also forget the channel name. The long hair and the beard are still there, but nobody will believe that you're a hippie when you're using a modern vehicle.
Richie knows his stuff - the core ingredients to get/keep my attention: Bread, healthcare, sausage, and beer.
Not sure if I should laugh or cry over how accurate this is. :D
