Great video brother greetings from the United States Virgin islands in the carribbean Us territory at.thomas learning a lot my dad taught me most of what I know so far he was a diesel mechanic he passed away so I am persuing this keep the videos coming God blesd
Dime Hermano, what’s going on brother, New subscriber here, 👋 I love that Snap on diagnostic tool, 👌 just had a curiosity I was wondering the last time that the sensor was changed and or how many miles on the truck got a curiosity just to make a comparison because I got a customer of mine that is having a similar problem and I want to make a comparison, thank you, 👋✌️
It's been awhile since worked on that truck know it mileage. When checking with scanner you can look at inlet Nox levels and compare to outlet Nox levels. Usually data will be erratic numbers will be out of spec. Each manufacturer has different values have get info on Truck. Plus depending on year there's levels on emissions. Like 2007 and 2010 would be different 2010 and up more strict on Nox levels output.
Hey I have a 2016 Peterbilt 579 with paccar and have 2 faults almost the same. Spn 3227 fmi 10 and spn 3227 fmi 21. Both description. Is After treatment outlet 1 perce t oxygen 1. Any ideas what that could be?
It's probably your outlet Nox sensor reading incorrect value or non at all. Check your data with scann tool. Sorry for late response got Check these older videos more often 😅
Thanks for the video. Does anyone know of a good scan tool that's not too expensive and can graph NOX input and output to get an idea if the NOX sensors are bad? Ordered a Ancel HD3300 Pro, but hasn't arrived yet. Driving a Volvo 780 d13. Currently have a CanDo HD Mobile, it resets some codes and does dpf regens.
I'm sorry to tell you but you won't be able to see those values without using Tech Tool. Volvo is very protective about there programming at work when I'm using Tech Tool must be online logged into servers document Active Codes Updates available for programs. You should be able get codes and do regents from Dash display see soot level.
Check your values on scanner determine if sensor failure or electrical. Depending how harness is ran over frame rail edges can cut into wires giving you short or open in circuit. What is FMi to your code?
You can check here good link on Nox otrperformance.com/blogs/quick-tips/what-does-scr-nox-conversion-efficiency-low-mean-on-detroit-diesel-dd13-dd15-dd16
I do have a problem all day long says EEC spn 3936 And my truck never does region by itself or ask for region and the engine light is on can you please help me with that for Freightliner Cascadia 2016 Thank you.
You can try getting some numbers from DPF filter from another truck. Then with Detroit Diesel program you can type Serial numbers from other DPF in like you replaced it. Do a forced Regen when it’s done type back old DPF numbers . Gets you by but you will need get DPF system serviced.
Check engine light on you can go a little ways but when goes into Regan again it won't work then Truck will go into Derate about 25mph. Then Shut down light come on you better get off road.
Законопослушный Гражданин Compay had a bad batch of DEF fluid after testing it. When Truck was Regen cycle levels did look ok until started dosing DEF Outlet Levels were off. NOx Sensors very sensitive fail very easy with bad DEF.
No the whole system is being replaced. The guy at the dealer told me 1 of the NOX censors is most likely gonna have to be replaced. I thought it was kinda odd.
Just saw this video for the first time. I just got a new Snap-on Prolink Diag tool. I really like your videos. On this one, was it the inlet or outlet Nox sensor?
Enjoy the work still learning my crafts hope to see more diagnostic and gain more knowledge as I learn. But I enjoy it very much.
That snap on scanner works good my step dads has 1 he's a mechanic as well keep up the good work bro
It also good to changed the inlet knox sensor also
Yes they do go bad also will give a false reading. Need to compare ppm amount on data screen.

I have Negative 200 ppm on my outlet nox sensor . It shuts off during an SCR test. I’m thinking of replacing the same thing.
Jd Jensen Outlet NOx sensors go out all the time I lost count how many I’ve changed.
What if my outlet mox sensor reads 0?
If you're getting reading of 0 Nox sensor bad. Is that outlet one or inlet sensor.
@@ZepolWorkzGarage Aftertreatment outlet Nox 0.0 ppm thats what my tool is always showing , thank you for helping me out
@@Yotubefamilia____1 Check make sure Outlet Nox sensor getting power and has signal ground. If it does the Nox sensor is bad.
Awesome video. I’m working with a Cummins 6.7 that only as DTC P0131. Any thoughts, should I replace the bank 1 nox sensor?
I would clear code if you can and run a Regen if it comes back Active change it out.
Help with spn 3057[ Nox sensor error] . Need more information, should I check machinecal or electrical failure. thanks.

Zepol Workz ok I will try this thank you
Awesome. What do you think about aftermarket nox sensors?
Never tried aftermarket Nox sensor always been OEM brand would be nice to see how they hold up.
What type of tablet are you using? Is there any subscription involved?
Was using Snapon Tablet Scanner. Yes need get add on for Heavy Truck and model specific.
Can I drive the truck if I get the Nox sensor intake code? Or I need to get it in the shop asap

@@ololkhayre9852 Really depends on year and make model of the truck about a mile or two.
Please tell how did you figure out that the outer NOx sensor was bad? Both sensor's parameters were pretty close. Thanks.

Great video bud. Have you done any SCR system replacements on Bob tails with Cummins engines recently? They were just recalled about a month back.
No I've removed DPF sent out to get cleaned but I thought SCR was not serviceable. I've seen the tube the DEF injector mounts to been recalled.
No the whole system is being replaced. The guy at the dealer told me 1 of the NOX censors is most likely gonna have to be replaced. I thought it was kinda odd.
think you got an exhaust leak.
Yes I said it in video. I did tighten the clamp but still didn't pass Regen.
Man , do work at Kenworth in tampa fl??
I used to work at Kenworth of Central Florida in Lakeland Florida. Not the Tampa one.
Just saw this video for the first time. I just got a new Snap-on Prolink Diag tool. I really like your videos. On this one, was it the inlet or outlet Nox sensor?
Was the outlet Nox sensor once it got hot values we're off.
What was the diagnostic scanner you're using?
Bad Guy Snapon Prolink Ultra.

Did you work for inland KW?
Jeff James Central Florida Kenworth Lakeland.
I have eng 1 spn 3216 fail 2 code any what is that? I have dd15
SPN 3216/FMI 2. Description This fault code sets when difference between the expected NOx ppm and the actual NOx ppm is greater.
Zepol Workz replace nox sensors?
Yeah I would change it outlet one. Also check DEF fluid quality content and dirty filter will ruin the sensors.if bad.
Zepol Workz thanks for your input
Pon suptitulos en español por favor
I hate that damn scanner
Yeah very limited what you can do. Cost is too high better off with Jpro.
