Whatever Bill Crosby did or did not do he was a brilliant funny man in this show and a real role model for black men on how to be strong patriarchs and fathers.
@@bobobandy9382 I'm not sure if the rape accusations were real or not, but one said Cosby drugged and raped her in multiple occasions. That seems like a lie to me. In a later scene, Cliff says to Theo. "Somewhere there's a suit that goes with this tie. BUT DON'T GET ME THE SUIT!" I think Theo should've promised his dad that he'd find that suit and return the tie to its owner.
In a later episode Cliff talks about the time when Theo (about 6 years old) bought him that tie, and how he was so proud to give it to his daddy. To show his appreciation, Cliff wore the tie to a medical seminar.

All of us fathers do ,shoot mothers guilt trip their kids into getting them better gifts .I'm not a father myself, but shoot even fathers day they want it to be for single mothers. Like what the hell ate fathers chopped liver

The Cosby show maybe one of the last shows to show a father that isn’t a doofus, I think Dan from Roseanne may actually be the last I could be wrong. Either way I like both shows.
I think Carl from "Family Matters" was the last one.. I hate when they make the Dad's look like idiots.. That's why I couldn't stand Shows like "That's so Raven" The Dad was an idiot on that show.. Judge Philip Banks is my favorite TV Dad while Dan from Roseanne is my Second favorite..
Mother’s Day is the single busiest day for florists. He makes good points but I’ve never met one person who wasn’t a florist or a chef who really USED a bouquet of flowers for anything other than a single day of decoration
This is a very interesting blend of Fathers Day and Christmas I saw the first run at Christmastime of 1984 then the 2nd run at Fathers Day time of 1985.
If he was Asian, they would throw those gifts back to his children’s Face. The gift has to be thoughtful...better yet just get good grades and don’t overdue the rebellion is the Father’s Day gift demand from an Asian household. *grin* always sensible and doesn’t require money.
When my name died and we looked in her closet we found nearly every new dress that we had gotten for her, and they had never been worn. She had about three dresses that she wore for everyday, and one nice dress to wear to church on Sunday.
The kids then go out and buy some practical but still a bit silly things which he enjoyed since the kids all had reasons tor buying the things the bought him.
My dad was so easy. All he wanted was a dozen chocolate donuts from the bakery and a nice spaghetti dinner. Miss you Dad.
Hats off to him!
That’s a precious memory…😊

That's the weirdest apology for rape I've ever heard.
"did or did not do"
No, he did it. Evidence was presented, and he was convicted.

Thank you you're right
Say what you will about Bill Cosby, but I'm sure we can all agree that when it comes to sitcom dads, Cliff Huxtable is one of the GOAT's.
Yes he was.
Him, uncle Phil, and Carl Winslow
Don’t forget Danny tanner and ward cleaver
I agree
Definitely. No doubt
I've always thought Clair was the prettiest woman on the show, and they're all beautiful!
I agree 💯
She still is
Denise and Clair were always my 2 crushes growing up... shit man,,, Lisa Bonnet is still one of my crushes... if she asked me on a date I wouldn’t even have to think to say yes!!!
Yes, she was drop dead gorgeous. I always thought she was Dominican
Me too! I thought she was so glamorous and intelligent. Inspired me to become a lawyer too. Definitely not as glamorous as her though. 😂
"I want better presents." Probably one of the best lines ever.
“I don’t say anything and look at me “ 😂😂😂😂😂😂💀
I love how they all genuinely laugh together
'I don't know what the child was drinking' omgg too funny 🤣
the cool aid... 🤣
Enough deodorant to have me smelling like anybody you wanna meet! lol!!!!!
but he is right though father's do get the worses end of gifts for Father's Day

You know huh? Smh
Father's Day is usually forgotten / ignored.
Hopefully that changes with Equality across the Board
I want full episodes back!!!
@Officer Tenpenny I did also. I got all the seasons
@@dawnalicia2778 Hello, Dawn Alica could you please upload them on RUclips 😁😊👍🏿
@@TheBlkac1I dont know how to. I only have the DVDs
All of the seasons are on Amazon Prime Video.

"Dad, you look like Times Square!" LOL
He's right. Those gifts are hilarious 😂😂
Yeah, he looks like a 1-man NYE party!!! LOL
My mom always helped us shop for Father’s Day so we never gave our dad anything THAT goofy! That yo-yo and that tie takes the cake!
Left out the best part: “S’ok son, somewhere out there is a suit that goes with this tie. BUT DON’T GET THE SUIT!!”
Much love and respect for Mr Bill Cosby!
Best series ever...I still love watching the Huxies 😁😁😁😁😁😁
I enjoyed watching my Walkman walk around with you all! 🤣🤣🤣🤣Man, I remember when those things were all the rage! How times have changed!
I was holding in my laughter right up until 3:54 when the tie lit up and said 'Miami' LMAOOOO!!!!
In a later scene, Cliff says to Theo.
"Somewhere there's a suit that goes with this tie.

Actually, that was an earlier episode, the one where Denise flubbed making a copy of a $95 shirt Theo was after. From very early in the first season.
Me too.
clair's laugh @3:55
The tie. The one that Cliff talked about when Theo wanted the Gordon Gartrell shirt. It’s the crowning glory of that getup.
Best line award must go to Vanessa:
"You look like TIMES SQUARE!"
I betcha Cliff could go to work dressed like that... on NEW YEAR'S EVE!
lol
Yeah, & on the "4th Of July", too!!!
My Walkman walking around with you guys 🤦♂️
Bill's too timeless reminds me of my Dad so much
I miss this
A better time when family ( in any form) was paramount
😢
I REALLY FEEL SORRY FOR EVERY FATHERS ,,,,,BECAUSE MR"COSBY IS TELLING THE TRUTH
But Cliff needs to realize it's not all about what the present is as long as it's given with love.
@@josephclegg3562 yea, try telling that to !mother's
The first time I saw him with all that lighted stuff on I damn near peed on myself laughing! Only in the 80s!!!

I think everyone knows how soap-on-a-rope works, but Cliff's idea of how he thinks it works still cracks me up. :D
How does it work?
How does it work?

Thats very, very funny!
Cliff talks about wearing that tie to a medical conference in the episode where Denise makes Theo a shirt.
Ladies and gentlemen. Boys and girls. The Cosby Electrical Parade! 3:54
I can sympathize with Cliff. My family gives me the shittiest gifts. They never use their brains to get me any useful.
Do you have a tie like Cliff's? Lol!
Those lights!!!!!! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
I have enough deodorant here to have me smelling like anybody you wanna meet 😂😂😂😂lmaoo!!!

Those light up visors are a blast from the past.
A Walkman? Time has truly gone. 😆
I still own one
That's how I feel about my Discman. I'd use it to ignore everyone during school assemblies.
So much for Cosby's dream of making the show 'timeless'.

Y'all treat us so badly!
Moms get all the good stuff!

“Eve and the boys” took me out 😂😂😂
1984: Father's day is about giving bad presents and loving your fathers.
Now: People want to stop fathers day.
I have never heard of that one.. you making that one up..
I get my father the same thing every year. A case of Beer, beef jerky, and some fried chicken.
You can't go wrong with that...😂
Twenty-something me would have definitely been wearing all of that when I went out to a nightclub.

Yes. I guess it just emphasizes the poor quality of the gift even more.
Bill Cosby is America's Dad and ALWAYS will be period.
He can be grateful, in my country father's day doesn't even exist.
So good
