  • A humidor should be a mix of cigars you can light every day, and some that you save for a special occasion. This is my top 5 of the latter.

    Hi Tom, top-notch video as always, you're a true gentleman. I especially admire the episodes with the Sahakians when you film with the Rake Magazine. Please continue sharing awesome cigar content, cheers!

    Just two corrections… Behike’s do not have Volado in them. The blend consists of Seco, Viso Ligero and Medio tiempo.
    And rhere is actually an extremely rare Behike 58 that Habanos. S.A. put out for a very select few people to try.

    These are your most rare/expensive cigars. I thought it will be your top 5 choice and the reasons why you picked them.

    I think the most special cigar I own, insofar as it's the one that I cannot (as yet) bring myself to smoke, is one last 1999 ERDM Tainos. For my money, it's the finest Churchill ever to come from Cuba and it still stings that they discontinued it.

    Excellent list, being a Cuban purist am iffy about the last piece, however the choice redeem it being an Opus X. Cheers sir

    This is an interesting video. You speak about cigars being a collectible asset class like wine, but on what platform can they be sold? You mentioned some of the prices, but how can the average person who has collectible cigars in their humidor liquidate them and turn them into cash?

    I don’t understand how they can be a good investment if it’s illegal to sell them outside of licensed establishments and auction houses won’t touch them unless you have a full unopened box.

    • @tfchamberlin
      @tfchamberlin  25 дней назад +1

      It’s very rare to find a box that is entirely unopened. Even at the importers, they cut the stickers to open the boxes so they can inspect the cigars and make sure they are up to standard. I’ve seen it in action.

    "hurricanes and stuff"..lol.Over the past year, I've managed to fill a dedicated humidor with 60 Opus X perfectos (I'm in Ireland).My mate in America said it cost him about 30% more over there.

      yeah, as a retired American guy spending $750.00 a month on a daily $25.00 premium cigar isnt possible. my few premium cigars ( padron 1926 and 1964) are a once or twice a month treat for me. my everyday go to stogie is the Padron 1000,2000,4000,5000. etc

    After the very bad price increasement of Cuban cigars, after the Chinese holding bought habanos s.a. I’m not longer interested in this wannabe quality overpriced sticks. The Benchmark is set by Davidoff. The Cubans got a lot of work to do to come there beside the „myths“ about Cubans cigars.
