    Are you stalking my mind? I just started to look at different dual setups to maximize engine bay space. Thanks for the video! Also thanks for the Track Bar correction Bracket DrKDSS recommendation!

      Nice!!! LOL...Always hard cutting up those custom fit pieces to "custom fit the custom fit" I might get that plate just to have some space to work with for future additions @@OverlandEngineer

    @12:08 That fuse coming off your starter battery that I'm guessing feeds power to the aux battery what amp rating is it?

    did you upgrade your alternator to a high output ? if so what amp ?

    I have a 2015 Toyota forerunner Trd pro and my alternator went out and I took it to a mechanic who I always go to and he said the alternator is gonna cost $1100. Is that right and does my vehicle have a dual battery system?

    Great video! What ignition source did you connect the blue wire to?

    Awesome video! I’m starting to plan out my electrical setup on my 4Runner and dang is it daunting. Haha. I was wondering if you plan on adding circuit breakers to your system or do you think it’s not necessary?

    • @OverlandEngineer
      @OverlandEngineer  Год назад +1

      Thanks! Circuit breakers are a no go…multiple companies don’t allow you to use them. Terminal block fuses are much better. That’s why I’ve got like 5 haha.

      @@OverlandEngineer learning something new everyday! Thanks for the insight! I have no electrical knowledge so I’m trying to learn as much as I can before I start wiring everything up. I’ve always seen a bunch of builds with circuit breakers and people recommending it so I assumed it was necessary.
      Would you recommend the safety block 150 over the standard blue sea one used in most builds?

    • @OverlandEngineer
      @OverlandEngineer  Год назад +1

      @@solex408 well most used in the typical brackets just have a lower total current rating and also don’t typically have midi fuse spots. The safety hub 150 is great for multiple accessories with how amp fuse demands like say an air compressor. Yeah many people just build out their vehicles with different kits and many kits are not always perfectly designed…just have to watch out for those kinds of things.

    Total newb question. Ive noticed ur not running an inverter. Any reason why?

    • @OverlandEngineer
      @OverlandEngineer  Год назад +3

      I try to run things on DC. Not any particular reason I suppose but converting from DC to AC is not a completely efficient process so if a device runs on DC, no sense in using it’s AC power cord.
