  • Join us as we check out some of the Sunshine Coast Hinterland's best waterfalls.
Starting at Gardners Falls which has an easy walk from the car park that takes you along the Obi Obi Creek to a beautiful swimming hole. It's a popular spot with both locals and tourists and can get busy at times because of the ease of access. After heavy rain the current can be a bit too fast for swimming.
Next, we head to Kondalilla Falls, arguably the Blackall Ranges most spectacular waterfall. The 4.5km track is relatively easy, however there are over 300 stairs if you want to get to the base of the falls.
After rain, the falls will put on a show, but its best to arrive early as the car park fills up quickly.
It's an easy to walk just metres from the car park to the viewing platform at Mapleton Falls, where you can watch it plunge 120m to the pool below. Take in the endless green views of the rainforest canopy and look for Australian peregrine falcons soaring and roosting near the waterfall.
Baxter Falls is relatively secret as there is no car park or signage. You can get there as part of The Great Walks or by walking down Suses Pocket Road off Obi Obi Road. The 4km return walk down to the falls is relatively easy and well worth the effort. Most of the time you will have the place to yourself.
