- Hello everyone and welcome back to another episode of Zoo Exhibit Tours.
Today I am going to be touring Port Lympne Hotel and Reserve's brand new Lion Reserve! This 6.5 acre enclosure is the largest lion enclosure in a zoo in the UK!
In this video I will tour the large reserve and inroduce you to the park's 10 lions.

i love barbary lions!! i tought port lympne only had barbary lions and was part of the barbary lion breeding project but you said that milo´s partner is not a barbary lioness!! i tought they could not mix barbary with other lions!!

Nice big enclosure. Is this what used to be the elephant paddock?
This paddock used to house the zoo’s bison and Przewalski’s horses
@@GeorgeCuevasYT ah ok. Thanks for the info. Any idea what the former elephant paddocks are currently used for? I understand they no longer house elephants at Port Lympne
@@ryanmenezes3261 last time I visited there was a white rhino living in the old elephant area. Not sure if that has changed since though

These are Barbary lions right?
Milo is a pure Barbary Lion. Lily is a Sub Saharan Lion. The rest of the pride are a mix of both.
Don't look pure to me .he look like a mix between atlas lion and African lion
Reminds me of MGM Lion Habitat at MGM Grand Hotel & Casino I hope they make a Lion habitat at MGM National Harbor.
Stripy Yoshi, 4 new cubs were born in June, 2021. In your video, you mentioned 3 young cubs & showed only 3. Did one die or did history repeat itself? Poor Khari, looked sad & lost.
4 cubs were born, one was moved to accompany Azi who is Milo and Lily’s older cub. Khari will hopefully be getting some company soon.
SY: thanks so much for the info. Kinda disturbing to hear that one cub was removed from his litter mates & was denied of his mother Lily’s care, bond & to be with his natal pride as a cub. Did Lily & the pride reject him as they did with Azi as the consequence of the tragic events last year? Sad. This beautiful pride is now fragmented. Sure hope for the best Khari & especially for Azi & this poor young cub.
