As a turk, descendant of Peloponnese, i visited many of balkan countries and the people are lovely so close and similar/familiar... I felt i was in my home... Even unless i dont speak they cant find out that im a turk... In the balkans the victory days, offical holidays etc are mosty the days they defeated turks... I can empathize with their feelings, it praises their national pride... Ok reasonable., do it but dont exagarete guys, history is in history. In Turkey we dont celebrate any of ottoman 'victories' (exception maybe 'conquete of Constantiople' , for you it's invasion/occupation).But we celebrate mostly the days of that we freed our territories / cities in Anatolia from Russia, France, UK, and Greece during the end of 19 th century and WWI. We have many albanian descedent population in Turkey and we have strong ties with Albania today. As turk i say dont mess with albanians. 😀 Greetings to 'Shqiperia' and Kosova.
