Her tone is so rich and smooth. She so clearly knows her voice, her strengths and her limitations. It's just so sad that she doesn't have more exposure in live singing and that she's not exactly the most confident with her voice. I'm rooting so hard for her and her growth during the rest of her career. Definitely one of the pillars of 4th generation vocals.

@@MoustafaSElHassan21 It's true she has one supported G5 in HV, but the issue is her all her HV attempts so far are not that strong. Her HV tends to be more light at times and sometimes it gets too airy. More practice, exposure and live materials will help us see if she really has a strong enough head voice deserving of F#5/G5.

Ah my most favorite voice (my most fav in 4th gen actually) and member in Aespa! I believe she has a consistent supported range of G3/G#3 - C5/C#5 (F#3 and even her head voice needs more materials tbh)? She has a nice and developed lower register despite her light approach lol, and despite her light coordination, it’s not that bad tbh lol. I love Wheein and Hwasa to pieces as they’re my ults, but yep, NingNing is above current Wheein/Hwasa for me lol (eg both Wheein and NingNing are light in coordination, but NingNing’s coordination > Wheein’s coordination lol).

It’s getting a little frustrating to me when she has good C#5s and even D5 in ‘Run’ and many people including some channels I watch were only giving NN A4/Bb4 or more commonly Bb4/B4 when she debuted like I just don’t get it and when I said that the same notes pointed out in this video weren’t bad people attacked me for not being able to hear “immense strain”- again when their ost came out I thought the Eb5 were supported and still 2 years later some people wouldn’t listen Kinda same with Winter tho not to the same extent as no one was giving her Bb4/B4 anywhere until later and many of the B4s that some pointed to be good were immediately shut down and even saw some claimed to be “very high larynx like what I normally don’t even post comments anymore bc I hate arguing lol (anyway sorry for the rant)

I wouldn’t say it’s proficient vocal training for all of them since there are SM main vocalists who were already good before joining SM like Bada, Kyuhyun, Chen, and Baekhyun, and there are still weak main vocalists from SM like Henry (if he was ever a main vocalist) and the few from NCT aside from Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Xiaojun. Their BG lead vocalists are quite underwhelming as well despite the popular consensus lol.
As for Ningning. She is casted by SM bcs of her participation on Singing Competitions. Tbh I really REALLY wish they honed Karina's vocal technique, she came from a vocal school and the fact that she already shown decent technique, they could even upgrade it more, but they pushed her as a dancer/rapper instead🙃

Lily is really better than NingNing, obviously NingNing has the best bass register of the 4th generation, but Lily has better technique, range, less nasality and is practically a proficient vocalist
but wendy is like a wall, to climb her place, you need practice more and more, because wendy still practice until now. but, yeah.. we know she debuted has in proficient level.

I also agree, even tongue tension with Ningning like whattt? All of them can be nasal but it's not like it's a really a big issue that hinders them a lot (I believe Karina and Giselle's bigger problem is shallowness). Even with good vocalist like Wendy and Taeyeon can be nasal.
Technicalities aside... Her lack of confidence is the biggest burden in her reaching her true potential and capabilities especially in her mix, specifically upper belts beyond E5... However, let us hope she'll gain more confidence with her abilities
I wont say lacking confidence, she just gets nervous alot, nervous and lacking confidence are 2 different things. I think shes insecure on something that causes her to play safe, but shes not lacking confidence at all.
I also think feeling a lot of pressure plays a huge part. People have really high expectations for her since she is a SM main vocalist and considering how much she got criticized, even before debut, she probably wants to play it safe. I could be totally wrong, but that's how it seems to me

@@winwinzolution Yea how high you support in your mix (or how low in your chest/lower register) is a factor in which tier a vocalist belongs to but not necessarily an absolute factor. Quality (of support and coordination) matters more and possibly the most important factor: Yuqi of (G)-IDLE only supports up to F#4/G4 which should be absolutely weak for a soprano (like even below Joy level lol), but is higher than many of the G4/G#4 girlies because of her overall chest coordination lol (also to mention she’s a lower soprano too).

She is B- so low AA seeing how her consistent her C#5s with some D5s and a couple bE5 (she's has more fuller moments than people give her credit for, but she can still be lighter for style), a well developed lower register down to F#3/G3, and a fairly consistent head voice up to bE5 (with potential up to F#5/G5) and that's lacking materials for hv too. With her being semi agile pretty much one of the best in agility in 4th gen and her registers all having development she's well rounded she's safely in AA.
Not Aespa or SM, but for RBW (or most of RBW since my groups consist of MAMAMOO, ONEUS, ONEWE, and Purple Kiss since I’m not familiar with Melomance lol) since they’re pretty consistent with producing good idol vocalists like SM, this is the vocal ranking order so far (let me know if there’s something wrong with my ranking lol): 1. Solar 2. Yonghoon 3. Wheein 4. Hwasa 5. Goeun 6. Seoho 7. Keonhee 8. Dongmyeong (?) 9. Swan/Moonbyul 10. The rest lol So basically in a better picture Solar > Yonghoon > Wheein > Hwasa >> Goeun > Seoho > Keonhee > Dongmyeong (?) >= Swan/Moonbyul > the rest *EDIT: Moonbyul has the potential to be better than Dongmyeong and Swan given more materials.
Goeun is weaker than ningning and really shouldn’t even be on a list with mamamoo. And swan has no support at all and is very weak for a vocalist and she ranks in the E tier

Same for Swan too, and the last time I checked, she’s like mid or mid-high weak/substandard/D tier. So I guess by your logic, Dongmyeong, Seoho, Keonhee, and Moonbyul (also MAMAMOO) should not be included there too ig lmao.

she's very solid for 4th gen standard, definitely one of the strongest. now all she need is more live performance experience and she's all set.

It’s getting a little frustrating to me when she has good C#5s and even D5 in ‘Run’ and many people including some channels I watch were only giving NN A4/Bb4 or more commonly Bb4/B4 when she debuted like I just don’t get it and when I said that the same notes pointed out in this video weren’t bad people attacked me for not being able to hear “immense strain”- again when their ost came out I thought the Eb5 were supported and still 2 years later some people wouldn’t listen
Kinda same with Winter tho not to the same extent as no one was giving her Bb4/B4 anywhere until later and many of the B4s that some pointed to be good were immediately shut down and even saw some claimed to be “very high larynx like what

Where did SM find their above average and proficient main vocalists?

I wouldn’t say it’s proficient vocal training for all of them since there are SM main vocalists who were already good before joining SM like Bada, Kyuhyun, Chen, and Baekhyun, and there are still weak main vocalists from SM like Henry (if he was ever a main vocalist) and the few from NCT aside from Taeil, Doyoung, Jaehyun, and Xiaojun. Their BG lead vocalists are quite underwhelming as well despite the popular consensus lol.
As for Ningning. She is casted by SM bcs of her participation on Singing Competitions. Tbh I really REALLY wish they honed Karina's vocal technique, she came from a vocal school and the fact that she already shown decent technique, they could even upgrade it more, but they pushed her as a dancer/rapper instead🙃

The fact that Karina is the strongest sub vocalist in 4th gen, one of the strongest sub vocalists to ever come out of the industry, is strong enough to be a lead vocalist for an SM group (stronger vocalist than Krystal for example) and yet it’s all due to training prior to entering SM.

All of them can be nasal but it's not like it's a really a big issue that hinders them a lot (I believe Karina and Giselle's bigger problem is shallowness). Even with good vocalist like Wendy and Taeyeon can be nasal.

I wont say lacking confidence, she just gets nervous alot, nervous and lacking confidence are 2 different things. I think shes insecure on something that causes her to play safe, but shes not lacking confidence at all.
I also think feeling a lot of pressure plays a huge part. People have really high expectations for her since she is a SM main vocalist and considering how much she got criticized, even before debut, she probably wants to play it safe. I could be totally wrong, but that's how it seems to me

@@winwinzolution Yea how high you support in your mix (or how low in your chest/lower register) is a factor in which tier a vocalist belongs to but not necessarily an absolute factor. Quality (of support and coordination) matters more and possibly the most important factor: Yuqi of (G)-IDLE only supports up to F#4/G4 which should be absolutely weak for a soprano (like even below Joy level lol), but is higher than many of the G4/G#4 girlies because of her overall chest coordination lol (also to mention she’s a lower soprano too).

She is B- so low AA seeing how her consistent her C#5s with some D5s and a couple bE5 (she's has more fuller moments than people give her credit for, but she can still be lighter for style), a well developed lower register down to F#3/G3, and a fairly consistent head voice up to bE5 (with potential up to F#5/G5) and that's lacking materials for hv too. With her being semi agile pretty much one of the best in agility in 4th gen and her registers all having development she's well rounded she's safely in AA.
Not Aespa or SM, but for RBW (or most of RBW since my groups consist of MAMAMOO, ONEUS, ONEWE, and Purple Kiss since I’m not familiar with Melomance lol) since they’re pretty consistent with producing good idol vocalists like SM, this is the vocal ranking order so far (let me know if there’s something wrong with my ranking lol):
1. Solar
2. Yonghoon
3. Wheein
4. Hwasa
5. Goeun
6. Seoho
7. Keonhee
8. Dongmyeong (?)
9. Swan/Moonbyul
10. The rest lol
So basically in a better picture Solar > Yonghoon > Wheein > Hwasa >> Goeun > Seoho > Keonhee > Dongmyeong (?) >= Swan/Moonbyul > the rest
*EDIT: Moonbyul has the potential to be better than Dongmyeong and Swan given more materials.
Goeun is weaker than ningning and really shouldn’t even be on a list with mamamoo. And swan has no support at all and is very weak for a vocalist and she ranks in the E tier
@@vvenuskook4170 This is all the vocalists from the RBW groups (that I know of at least), and while I do acknowledge there is a good gap between the MAMAMOO vocalists + NingNing and Goeun, Goeun is a RBW idol like MAMAMOO so she’ll be considered (there’s also two > between Hwasa and Goeun too). Same for Swan too, and the last time I checked, she’s like mid or mid-high weak/substandard/D tier.
So I guess by your logic, Dongmyeong, Seoho, Keonhee, and Moonbyul (also MAMAMOO) should not be included there too ig lmao.
