If you type in life categories on Pinterest there will be many pins that may help someone who is having trouble coming up with their own personal categories. Loved the video and information. Let's haer more!
I would be extremely interested in a video of you planning out that list! I don't have a commerce business but i love to hear how businesses go about planning and setting everything into motion.
Omg Rachelleea!!! I just came across your content and I feel so grateful ahhh I LOVE this video. Such inspiring tips here, definitely going to incorporate all of this as I embark on my mid year reset :)) So much of what you're sharing here reminds me Superhuman meditations that I started using recently after a friend showed it to me. It's a really cool concept - multi tasking meditations helping you tap in to your ultimate self and manifest your future. Sooo applicable to getting clear on the life you want to live and upgrading your life. Can't help but share b/c I feel like you'd love it haha :)) it's been a game changer for me! So excited to explore all of your content x
I have category lists that are prioritised. I then schedule the categories in my calendar. So I actually schedule time to do these tasks so they get done. When I see the category in my calendar I go back to the list and all the details of what I need to do are there. Works a charm!
Thank you, this has been so helpful. I did 7 categories and just brained dumped. I can see how this would be helpful. So many if the things that were taking brain cells repeatedly, but nothing accomplished. I am off to accomplish three of these things today.
My question would be how do you handle recurring tasks. For example, certain cleaning tasks, those would never leave the list since they always need to be done? I think that's what i struggle with when it comes to to-do lists. Also, i would love to see a video on your process in relation to your business. As someone who is just launching an online business it would be very interesting to see from someone who has been doing it for a while.
Loved it! So i had something similar in mind but never added it on paper and this video just gave me a push to finish it. I love your creative energy Rachel.. and definitely make more such videos bcz many time in our day to day routine ppl go off track and such videos remind them to get back to track.. 😊
I would love a blog where you show us how you do your list and organize things. I feel like I don’t have enough of a life to have a ton of lists. But your breakdown shows I do. So more info would be great!
When you say you have to be remembered. Pro Tip: I put all my todos for the week on one giant list and just check the todos off, but I don´t delete them until the end of the week. Seeing the check marks getting more and more is such a motiviation I keep the flow going.
I’ve been doing this for a while but would like to take a little further. You gave me great ideas. Thank you! I am a visual person and it has taken me a lot of years to realize this, and to utilize a to do list, but putting them in categories is a great idea. I just had a list in my journal.
I use something similar to this system, and i record it in Microsoft To-do on my iphone. It helps me so much :-) my categories are: ”food and home”, ”self-care”, ”my mother” (she’s sick), ”my home”, ”my protect”, ”chores”
I have made a very similar life list but I've made it on Asana! Which is really good for me cause I don't get overwhelmed my looking at everything all on the same page. I have different projects for different parts of my life with the to do lists. And then just assign them to myself when I am focusing on them it will show up in the "My Tasks" section.
Hi Rachel! Do you have thoughts on how many times per week to review your categories and know what's on your list? Is it a daily thing? I'm tempted to try it in Notion but I feel like I'll forget to check and keep up with all the lists. 🤔🤔
Thanks for your video. I have tones of to do lists on my phone regarding different types of tasks and categories but it is overwhelming not having an "overview" of the whole thing, and at the end, not that much gets done unfortunately... You gave me the motivation to put everything on paper, by category and try to visualize it like on a board. So my brain can apprehend it better. I will tackle this this weekend 😊 thanks for the motivation. I also purchased your budget spreadsheets cause I also need to face my finances and expenses and get ahead of it in stead of ignoring it... I would definitely be interested in seeing your habits trackers and what you put on your list, what has worked for you and what did not and so on... Thanks for your video 💕 Looking forward to the next one 😉 Best regards
LOOOOOOVE THIS!!! I have a bullet journal but tasks get lost. I’ve tried a spreadsheet before but not so detailed and definitely not one i needed to visit so often. So having everything on one google sheets might be a game changer. Especially for breaking big tasks into little ones! Here is what I’m wondering…for tasks coming up in the future…like in 3 months I’ll have to get an oil change…where on the list does that go. Like…i just got an oil change but I’ll have to do it again I’m three months. Where does it go so I don’t get confused about not being sure when to do it?? I guess I could make a note, “last completed”. Hmmm oooooorrrrrr….have a current tab, and then a tab for each month. Then when that month comes I add everything from that month to the list?!!! That might work!!! Also like daily or weekly routine tasks…where do those live? I’m afraid I’ll complicate things too much by having separate tabs for things. Like having a list and a tracker on separate pages seems like It’s an unnecessary step?? I’ll still be using my bullet journal, because I love It. But I’m feeling like I may need to rethink things a little. Also…I like the idea of checking things off a list, but I was thinking of making another page with completed tasks. That way I can also see all of the things I was able to complete that year! And if I ever need to think back on a random task, then it’ll be there to reference….okay…. I’m really excited!!
I was thinking last year about creating an extra misc list that’s called future. Stuff I need to remember but not right now and just moving it from that list to the correct category as time gets closer 😊
I’m going to response to one paragraph at time. For daily tasks I just have a regular to do list. And I bring things out of each category into my daily task list. If I don’t achieve it that day it goes back into the category 🧡

Hi Rachel! This is amazing, definitely going to apply this to my own life. I have a question - do you integrate goals with things that you need to do? I have been doing that previously and it overwhelms me slightly. For example, confusing a health goal like being able to do 200 pushups with something I need to do like get a gym membership. Hope this makes sense!
Nope I don't mix them :) I haven't even written specific goals this year, I was just focusing on trying to find a way to not forget things and ensure I actually start getting through things i've been avoiding. Maybe next year I'll feel more prepared to start working on goals and breaking them down into tasks that can go onto the list 😊
I worked in retail full time. I decided to risk it, quit my job and move home to my mums to be able to make videos full time 😊 6 months later I was able to move out into a share house and 6 months after that I was able to move out on my own
Great, love it, thanks for sharing! Curious why you didn't have health/ fitness as a category? Especially as you did so good with it, you could have crossed so much off the list haha ;) But maybe you didn't want it on the list for a reason? Or it was under Personal?
health and fitness has never been a goal of mine except for wanting to do handstands so I guess that counts. I'm not interested in it and I hate setting it as a goal. I know its good for me and I found once everything else was all organised then I made room for it but I hate keeping track of it. That probably makes no sense xD
@@rachelleea I kinda thought that may be the case as you've been refreshingly honest about not loving working out. I've appreciated that candidness and how you know yourself so well not to put it on the list! Great reverse psychology as you ended up doing so many more walks and steps daily just naturally! Thanks for explaining and it totally makes sense! Have a lovely weekend girl! xo
i dont think the list is the gamechanger. Having a system to remind you an working on that task....this is what moves the needle. I am a tidy and organized person. Having so much visual clutter like tabs open on my browser or a gigantic whiteboard whould not work for me. But i am happy you find a way to get your shi... together.
I enjoyed the idea of this video at the start but feel it got very repetitive and your talking got frantic toward the end, normally I find your videos calming, they make me focus and slow down my thoughts into manageable tasks without being overwhelmed but this one not so much.

I did this in note section in phone and look at often. And it helps.
Started my category list watching you again just to make sure I’m not missing anything. Thank you.
