That scene going under the train truck reminded my childhood.
Uhhh that is nice memory, thank you
Hello Rizal, thanks for this beautiful trip, greetings to both of you 😊👍☘️
Thank you 🙏
Thank you to both of you for sharing your journey. Yet another lovely video Rizal - you continue to inspire me to go out on my Brompton a little more often. Keep up the good work, Richard.
Thank you, yes let’s join us sometime. The weather is getting more light. Welcome anytime
Yes Rizal, I would very much like to join you sometime. Do you live in Nottingham? If so, perhaps I could travel by train and we could meet up for a day - maybe late March/April.
@@richardbeall9174 yes that’s will be great idea, I Don’t mind come to your area West Yorkshire? so I can see different place. Or we can meet half way is not problem.
Ok Rizal. I will let you know some convenient dates nearer the time.
@@richardbeall9174 ok Richard 👍

I really enjoyed the video, it’s a thumbs up from me 👍
Thank you very much 🙏
Just bought an H6L! Hope to get delivery next week.
@@robertneff5477 lovely congratulations 🥳 I hope you use it to get the pleasure of it. Get healthy life back 🤣 thank you for letting me know about the info, I really appreciate it. Cheers
What a great video! I now live in Leicester but I grew up around the area in this video and so much of your route is familiar to me. If you'd have made that ride fifty years ago there's every chance you'd have passed a young me sitting fishing somewhere along the Trent. 🙂 I've spent many hours at Beeston Weir, Trent Lock, Elvaston Castle and several other points on your route. Great memories!
I've cycled from Trent Lock along the river to Trent Bridge in the city but never in the other direction towards Derby. I know the roads you took heading from Trent Lock to Elvaston Castle but the off-road section on cycle paths by the Derwent into Derby is a mystery to me. Do you have to route mapped out on Google or another site/app that you could post a link to? I fancy cycling from Nottingham Forest's City Ground to Derby's Pride Park this summer so any tips you can put up will be gratefully received. Cheers 👍🏼
Thanks for your comment, really appreciate it. I know the route from Beeston to Trent Lock because I rode it last summer, on my bike, I didn’t use a map, I just followed the cycle paths. From Elvaston to Derby I followed the river by chance, again I didn’t use a map. Before I used Google map but it took me along the main roads which isn’t ideal on a bike. I suggest if you want to go to Derby, double check with Google map for the bicycle route. I hope that help
Or you can just follow river Trent from nottingham forest ground until Beeston and go to Attenborough nature reserve until Trent lock.
From there go in to Main road little bit until Borrowash ( the road is quite save) and from there you can just follow the Darwent river until your destination. The Park will be on your left side 👍
@@rizalsapi007 Yes indeed. I used to ride to and from Borrowash three or four times a week when I was between 12 and 14 years old. As I said, there are so many memories connected to that area. Thanks for bringing them back! Cheers 👍🏼
@@Mick_Holland with pleasure 🙏
What Brompton do you have/recommend?
@@robertneff5477 Hi Robert my brompton is M6L, 6 speed 2014. Is little bit old but really strong never have problems so far, I bought it second hand. Nearly 3 years now with me, I really like it. My recommendation probably get Brompton with 6 speed because you can use in any location and can use for touring, and C line is the latest model Brompton have. The price around £1350 brand new but if you looking for second you can get around £900 to 1K. I hope that helps. Cheers
@@rizalsapi007 Thanks Rizal
@@robertneff5477 You welcome, I hope you get the right one, cheers
Selamat pagi
@@robertneff5477 Selamat pagi, apa kabar? Terima kasih
@@rizalsapi007 I am well thank you Rizal. Though I don't have a Brompton, I do live and cycle around Nottingham. My connection with Indonesia is some business I have had in the hills around Ubud for the past 20+ years.
@@robertneff5477 Ubud Bali, is really nice place to live, come with us cycling sometimes if you free. Thank you
