  • I bought a folding bike for commuting to the train station. Why does it feel so cool to ride? 😍

    Hi mate great little video!
How is the quality of the clamp for the main frame?

Cheers! The clamps are are fairly decent quality so far! It’s an impressive little bike for the price. The brakes are really good surprisingly!

I had a bike built by Halfords, and had to push it home. Brakes didn't work, handle bars were loose, seat was loose, and the gears weren't indexing properly. The wheels had loose spokes as well. Thing is, if you put their bikes together yourself, they won't honour any warranty issues down the line.
Let them put it together, and then check it yourself at home, or get a proper bike mechanic to check it over. Don't ride away on anything Halfords have put together.

To be fair they were nice lads in the shop and they did their best! I spose they’ve probably got a lot on with the amount of bikes they probably have to build/sell. I didn’t mean to slander them in the vid really I was just joking around. I got a bargain from them with this little bike and I can’t complain at all, but yeah, always worth checking things after collection 😂

@@mywildadventures88 I'd certainly buy there again, though. Their Carrera bikes are very good value for money, especially compared to near identical bikes from big brand names. I bought a road bike there a few years ago, and a brand name one with similar spec was about 200 quid dearer.

I'd have pushed it back to the shop and asked for a refund.

Hiya mate, I've got the Raleigh evo2 also bought from Halfords. I got the extended warranty but they didn't honour it, load of hassle trying to get the bike serviced. But the evo2 is great - a bit heavy, but I go everywhere on it. Gotta be good for your condition..!

Bought a folding bike from Decathlon, it was set up pretty good to be honest, great to keep in the boot of the car. Put some better continental tyres on, and now its great for short journeys.

Have you tried changing the tires 😮.. I put " Schwalbe Marathon plus " puncture resistance high quality tyres and its much better 👌

You get what you pay for. I have a TERN VERGE X11. its the best of both worlds can fold up. And it can go as fast as most full sized bikes. And climb hills like they dont exist. £2500. Better than anyother folder. And ive had it for 7 years and had no maintainance done. Aside from chains and tire changes. And 2 cassettes. The frame is a work of art.
