A year ago I was diagnosed with leukemia. I am currently in the hospital going through another round of chemotherapy. As I hopefully await a 2nd stem cell transplant. Through it all, I am grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and the blessings of my wife and 2 young daughters the Lord has given me. Been a fan and a WPSN member for years now, thank you John for your service to our country both in the sandbox and behind the pulpit. God bless!

My children eat snacks. I wasn't able to snack as a child until we finally got government help, or a church gave us food. The fact that my children get 3 meals AND snacks every day makes me so happy! ❤
I am grateful for my dog. He opened my heart of stone and fixed 17 years worth of built up combat nightmares.. I never knew I could love somebody so much .. no matter my demons my Winston loves me unconditionally. I have no kids…never had a pet and getting that dog changed my life.
Amen! A colleague of mine who was prone to negative energy mentioned one morning as we were facing a very busy schedule moaned “Oh, today is going to suck.” I replied, “Answer the following questions:
1. Is anyone shooting at you?
2. Are you bleeding?
3. Do you have access to potable water?
4. Do have something to eat?
5. Do you have blisters on your foot?”
The negativity was tempered and I said, “Well, then it’s going to be a great day!”
Alone is the shit. Real hardcore survivalists.💪💪🙏
One of the hardest things to deal with coming back from war the first time was realizing the children are suffering around the globe and I live like a filthy rich king.
Not in the military but my job has taken me all over the globe and it is really makes it difficult to see anything go to waste. When we scrape more food from our plates at the end of the meal than some will see in a month. I think everyone needs this reality check, it would make a much better world.

Im grateful for God who died on the cross for my sin and rose 3 days later. I now have been saved and belong to the Lord.
Funny you mention a paraplegic with widespread chronic pain. That’s me. I’ve had over 110 surgeries and I’m only 37. Yet I’m still grateful every day for what God has given me like family, friends, good, clean water, clean clothes, shelter, mobility aids and two accessible vehicles. So yeah, in spite of the challenges I face I still have it better than most of the world
I watched this video with my 13 year old son. It incited a two hour conversation between us. The best two hours I’ve had in a while!
I have reached the point of being thankful for my bad health...for my suffering. God has used this predicament to show me true perspective. I am thankful that I can speak even after a brain surgery that the doctors told me would most likely take my ability to speak. I have also taken cognitive tests that show no sign of surgery in the middle of my motor skills (parietal) region that occurred in 2010. God has shown me that even if all i can do is lay in a bed and be thankful, He can use me mightily. Praise God always. He WILL move mountains.
I once complained when I had no shoes. Then I met a man with no legs. Thank you, John for the gift of perspective.
This was a good reminder that I needed. I was just told last night my mother has kidney cancer. Please pray for her. God can!

100% john. I spent a week and a half roughing it in The boundary Waters between Minnesota and Canada. Having to go and get water out of the lake and filter it everyday was taxing! Running a hammock and tarp setup through a terrible storm. When I was running low on food 4 days in, 6 oz of grits and a handful of beef jerky that was given to me by a passing camper felt like a king's meal! I realized I was too soft and need to step it up. I took for granted the roof I have over my head. The food in my fridge. And the water from my well.
I need to Be more thankful for what I have and what's been given to me. Thanks for the reminder, wps!
I'm thankful for Jesus! I'm amazed and thankful as a widow, raising my special needs daughter, solo, and I truly mean SOLO, when my husband passed away, we were left with nothing. No "nest egg", savings, IRA, life insurance policy, etc., that Jesus has completely helped me provide for my girl all this time! We have a decent roof over our head, our refrigerator has food, we have good clothes on our backs, and a good vehicle to get us where we need to go. We are healthy and our mind's are good! And a handful of loyal friends to top it off. There's just so much.....I'd be here quite a while.😆🙏🏼☝🏼✝️ Blessimgs to you all, and thank you Brother John for your thoughts and care you put into each video!❤
Hey there my friend, Jesus didn't do anything for you. Your accomplishing surviving on your own. You should be very proud of what your doing for you and your daughter. When you pray or whatever, your actually just having a conversation with yourself, to convince yourself that you can handle whatever gets in your way. Try using your own name next time you want to pray etc
Many people don't understand until they experience a true miracle in a situation that they in no way could have influenced the outcome or done anything more about. Our Father must have an incredible amount of faith in you to have set you on such a journey in life. God knows what we can and can not do. If we do our part with every ounce of our strength and will, He will do the rest.
@MrAvidOutdoorsman I appreciate your supportive words for me, but....I will say, I had a life changing experience at the age of 14 years old when Jesus saved my soul and there's never been anything more real for me. Jesus has made ways when there just wasn't any. He's been my ROCK when I had nothing or no one to turn to. I promise you, when you've had a meeting with the Lord of lord's and King of kings....You will know too. I pray with all sincerely that you will. He will change your life.

I'm so thankful that I surrendered to His call many, many, many years ago now. I've never regretted it! I can't imagine navigating this life without Abba Father/Jesus/Holy Spirit. It’s a tough battle in our own minds. Don’t give in.
Stay strong, it's a dog poo economy and all ages impacted. I work in tech staffing, companies waiting. Lord willing we have a fair election and you know the economy is waiting to skyrocket.
I'm constantly reminded of the importance of staying informed and vigilant, but it's just as critical to take time for gratitude and appreciate the freedoms we have.

I thought I knew joy at age 60, until I saw my sister wake up 14 days ago from a kidney transplant after 8 years on the wait-list. I thought I knew of utmost gratitude and compassion until I knew of the incredibly brave and generous family who made the hardest decisions while suffering from the most tragic of circumstances that gave life back to my sister and her kids. I want for nothing else in this life. Nancy from San Antonio Texas (they told us the donor's family is from San Antonio also).
We live in a world where people prey on negativity and pray for positivity. Unfortunately one is far more predominant

This is wild. This morning I was praying gratitudes. Clean water, a toilet in the house, a garden (even if it’s struggling this year) I’m grateful for what it will provide. Pray and thanking the lord for a home, a cool house on hot days and a warm house on cold days, power. Flipping the switch and lights turning on in the dark. Natural gas coming to our home. Its very weird I was praying and thanking God for the basics that make life easy. If I’m repeating your stuff it’s because I haven’t finished watching yet! God bless you and your family.
I am in chronic pain 24-7. Have things wrong with me they say will kill me. I want to tell all who will see this God did not do these things to me. But because of Jesus Christ I am not dead already. God is not the cause He is the answer. People want to use my problems as an excuse not to follow Jesus blaming God for each of them. They have told me. People say this because by their actions they have no other reason (excuse) not to follow him. I give thanks to the almighty God. You don't have to believe in God to be thankful for things in your life. I hope that people would learn about God and get to know him through His son Jesus. John I thank you for your content for your preaching videos.

Excellent video, after falling three stories and breaking a bunch of bones, I am alive and all those bones have healed up and I'm walking and may go back to my job as a roofer. I am so appreciative not just to be alive but to be regaining my physicalbody as it was close to before. So blessings all those who fight with health problems praise God in the Glenn band.

I am extremely grateful for lots of things. Health (cancer survivor), stability (low debt), skills and knowledge (homesteading), small community (safety), friends and family.. the list goes on and on.
I'm grateful for every opportunity of growth.
I'm thankful for my wife, are dogs, my job working at a school for 25 years.
We are a small community of people but its like a family.

Great reminder John. It’s easy to feel self pity, particularly about things beyond your control.
11 years ago, as I set off on my path of self destruction, my father almost lost his life due to alcoholism. A good man, but on his way out, too early. Today, he’s paying for his past physically, but we visit a few times a year, and seeing him and my mother singing in the choir, and him still hobbling around filled with Joy and spirit, brings me a ton of gratitude.
This is an exceptionally important message that needs to be heard around our country. Thank you for taking the time to both make it and share it. I’m exceedingly grateful for all of the points mentioned in this vid, with religion being at the forefront. God bless America ✝️ 🇺🇸

It is so easy to get distracted by one problem. When I have a list a mile long to be grateful for. God has blessed me greatly.
My 9-year-old daughter and I recently had a long conversation about the different kinds of disabilities and how most of them do not preclude all work and occupation. She agreed with me that there were almost no disabilities that would keep you from doing any kind of work; you just may need to retrain to a different vocation following a physical or mental disability.
I am able to work and provide for my family; and for that I am grateful.
I've been praying for clarity on how to compose myself amid all the awful things in the news, and came across 1 Peter. Just a few pages, but man that's just what I needed.

Great message John. Years ago, I started a habit that makes a huge difference. I bought a journal, and every day (almost), a right down what I am grateful for that day. Helps to focus on the good things, and looking back into the good things in the past, helps lift up today. Thank you again.

I have thought about this so often! Even in comparison to past times in my life, I have no want. I even have access to a great education at my fingertips through youtube. I am thankful for being able to stop taking most of my medicine as a result of improving my diet and exercise habits throughout the years. I thank God that I have all my limbs, a brain that functions well and have been blessed with good health. I once drank from a well where the bacteria was "TNTC". We in America live in a land where blessings are "TNTC", and perhaps we are suffering not from want, but from our own excess.
Yay for this! We are a blessed people.

Our age has a serious problem: the nature of media is that it will always show us how everything is bad, because bad news is much more interesting than all of the great things we have. So, we have to actively remind ourselves all the time how blessed we are!

Taught my daughter how to read a real map, use a compass, use tools, hunt and fish, make a shelter, grow vegetables, wife taught her to sew I tried but all I can do is sew on a button and a patch, yet we all had fun doing these things as a family. No she was not raised like a boy, she was a dancer now she teaches it.
In my opinion these are things that children should learn boy or girl they teach life lessons and life skills.

I say a prayer of gratitude every morning when I wake up. It starts my day off with a thankful, positive attitude. I still include a list of petition in the prayers but I realize I don't ask for anything for myself. I realize I have all I need and more and just want others to have the as much.

I run a small company and have many livelihoods that depend on me making the correct decisions. I have a small family that I lead. I have the worry of the future on the small scale and the worry of the future on the large political scale. As a result, I have not been fun to be around lately. I am in war mode and living among soft targets. I should watch this video twice. I need to be thankful for everything I have even the challenges. It means I am still here and I could try harder and enjoy harder. Stay up y'all.

I am thankful I just spent over 10 minutes on an exercise bike. I am grateful to be in a country where comics and comicy movies are available. I am grateful for my girlfriend, parents, siblings and Grandma. I am thankful to a God who redeems us.
My dad came through cancer treatment and is still cancer free, so did my uncle. My mom is THE BEST MOM also known as Nana. I have more than I deserve. Thank you Lord for your Blessings on me. 🎵
I've been a paraplegic for 43 years and I'm in terrible chronic pain everyday.
That said, I'm incredibly thankful that I have the use of my hands. I have several quadriplegic friends that would give anything to use their fingers. I pray for them daily. And I thank God for my hands daily
