  • Charlotte and Paul McStallworth recall their individual and combined family histories that includes slavery in Alabama, the Underground Railroad, and higher education in PA.
    Charlotte Young McStallworth's grandfather, Robert C. Young escaped from slavery via the Underground Railroad in 1865. He later became the first Black teacher in the area, and earned a Masters in Education at Dickinson College, Carlisle, PA.
