These are the Eytys Michigan Boot in Black Leather from SSENSE. I got these on sale for $380.00 CAD! I wear a size 41 EU (US Men’s 8), had to size a whole size down since these run pretty big for me.
@@ericshepherd7786 SSENSE is a legit luxury retailer with a physical location in Montreal, Canada and I’ve actually bought from there many times. I’m not too sure where you heard that but be rest assured that it’s as legit as Harry Rosen or Holt Renfrew-level of retail!
These are decently comfortable, but not the best if you’re going to be walking all the time in them. The insole is nicely padded but platform sole is quite thick, so you can’t really “bend your toes” naturally when you walk in them. I can usually forget about my own comfort at times for the sake of looks hahah so I guess see what you’re okay with!
Unfortunately, these are a cemented construction :( they insole and outsoles are quite hard wearing though, especially since they are platform with tread soles. I’m finding it hard to wear out the sole quickly even with regular wear.
These are decently comfy once broken in! They use a finished cowhide and line the inside with a fabric liner, and the initial rigidity I feel comes more from the lining. The soles are quite dense but has good cushion, since they are platform. To be fair, I think I got a half size too big now that I’ve worn it more, so that definitely has affected my comfort but that’s my bad.
I think the quality of the leather is alright. Definitely paid more for the style and brand more than anything. The leather used is okay. These boots have a fabric lining, which makes the boots crease deeper than my other boots. Although creasing definitely is normal and is part of wearing them, the creases were definitely deeper and remained in the leather even with shoe trees in. Im comparing this to good-year welted, calfskin dress shoes BTW.

I had to size down a full size! I usually wear a Men’s US9/EU42 for street shoes but most boots I size down to Men’s US8/EU41.
