Great video! I’m training my back hand now. I use bevel grip, back of the hand faces me before hitting the shuttle, and i use forearm rotation (rotate more than 180°) when hitting the shuttle And yes, this trains and tires your forearm muscles, which is nice
It's the hardest, imo 😅. I can do jump smash, cross court smash, drop shot, slice drop cross court, and backhand drop/drive/lift, but not backhand clear 😂
Great video ! One additional question I have is how to position oneself the correct distance from the shuttle to hit the shot. As I turn and follow the approaching shuttle, I often end up too close, too far, or reaching too high to hit properly.
Bro, I haven't tried on the shuttle yet, but i think you perfected my backhand in 10mins. The finger position shifting, angle and bruce lee style gave me the extra bit of power and consistency
Hello @AylexTV Badminton Academy I want to learn the deceptive shot! so how to produce the deception in my badminton shots such as, forehand clear, forheand drop shop and net shots! ANd your videos are so useful and very well made! The fact that you put each shot in step by step is really helping me learning all the mecanic of the shots!! :)
You insults at the beginning of your video are wicked. The "Are you a lazy POS" was good. The "Is your smash as pathetic as your love life" nearly made me spit my tea out". Lol. Keep up the good work
My backhands (under pressure) often end up close to the net and at a steep angle giving the opponent perfect opportunity to smash from the net. Any tips how to improve this or what I might be doing wrong=
I think under pressure, you might be holding the grip tightly and perhaps try to be conscious about it and try to utilise the fingers more and use the grip clench at the last moment to provide the whipping action.
so far your channel is a very good badminton than other, but you need a make a routine video about maybe each 3 days because your video is so good, i always waiting your video, your explanation just like "father to son"
If you cannot bring the power of your footwork into the shot then you're wasting energy. There is way to prevent forearm and wrist injury by learning how to use the full body weight. This is specially relevant for girls who are forced to play with perfect technique and don't rely on compensation forearm strength. The timming of the footwork and the lower stance facilitate the weight transfer then proceed to the instructions of the video. The thing that assisted me the most is the proper grip and contact point, the pan handle grip give access to both cross and straight angles but being a doubles player I tend to forget it.
I really like the Kongfu analogy! Great coaching!
Thank you, lots of badminton training videos out there but yours are by far the most practical and logical. Keep up the great work 👍
