SeaSucker makes great stuff. My father has 2 on the back of his van and we attached them through a Plano box for more storage. Drove from Maine to Florida with it attached and loaded full with no issues.
Sweet. I picked up the SeaSucker Camp Kitchen for the side of my VW Eurovan Camper, this is the obvious next step. Always love your videos, they carry over to the van-camping community great!
Your video is absolutely spot on, i was waiting someone brave to test it, on jeep JK and boom here it is, thank you so much for the video, i was more concerned about the window of the JK than the product as i am familiar with seasucker in extreme conditions here in the desert for years now and never had a failure ( check and service pumps very year👍 ) thanks again mate 🙏💪😎
Of course! And yeah I'm worried about the window itself but I spoke to SeaSucker and they said their engineers tested it on a Jeep jk window specifically
Awesome product that I have discovered thanks to you. Definately will pick one up and the kitchen 2:0 is great. A journalist friend of mine took pictures of gigantic window panels for a movie theater... imagine the dimention. Placed by suction cups. Industrial ones. Impressive. Yes it bites hard 😂❤❤❤ Love your videos.
This is perfect even for those that do no overland. Example is like going to the beach 🏖️ and return to vehicle to rinse off the sand from feet 👣 or whatever.
Just found your channel! Great vids! Curious what camera and mount you used for the on the road footage? I am also FL wheeling so maybe see ya out there sometimes!
Asia, do you think this would work for mounting a 1 gallon propane tank? If so what mounting bracket would you recommend to match the bolt pattern on the Sea Sucker?
You'd have to find a way to get the mount on there. It MIGHT work for that as propane tank is USUALLY lighter than a waterport. But that's not a bad idea. Maybe they'll come up with one!
Waterport has a tow hitch you can get. I don't like it though because it decreases departure angle and I don't want it scraping off a rock or getting under water during a water crossing. The SeaSucker can secure to vehicle side too if you have the flat space for it. One person in our crew uses the SeaSucker maxtrax mount on his tailgate
Any concerns of theft since someone can just come by and release the suction cups? I like the idea but my side rack is bolted on and that gives me some security.
Def a concern. But my two cents: if a waterport is something you're going to keep on your vehicle all the time, then a permanent mount I feel is the way to go. Just like a permanent maxtrax mount etc. That's my setup. SeaSucker stuff I feel is more when you don't want to look like an overland rig every day and you just load up for trips.
@@BaptismOverland totally agree. We take ours off when we aren’t using it. We also use it to rinse off when we go to the beach and that would be where I see something like this being vulnerable. Still a cool product tho!
Both SeaSucker and Waterport tested it specifically on jeeps without problem. Now I wouldn't personally sit on it like I did and I weigh twice what a full waterport would weigh. I also know of other people who run it on their window with no issues
Well you'll have to figure out how to mount it and also I don't use diesel heaters so I'm not sure how heavy they are. I also don't know if I'd want something that has fuel in it that can possibly fall off if not mounted correctly. But hey, maybe SeaSucker might make one at some ooint
@@BaptismOverland ya.. Typically if we have a gopro suctioned on the glass; often the gopro falls off towards the end of the trip as the suctioned air expands
Ok….I think you might’ve confirmed I can put Rotopax Gas tank on my Tacoma rear passenger window and the window won’t shatter from the weight 😉. I’ll see what Sea Sucker’s say this week though .
The TRUE test would have been launching the Jeep off of a ramp at the end of a fishing pier. The impact would be the ultimate test. Don’t forget to take a couple rods and bait. Cold beers, lunch and suntan lotion may help. As always, great production! I have no doubt the unit works. But, the cost for 6 gallons of water? I recently bought 4 - 5 gal collapsible containers from Amazon for $55 bux.
It's not. If you look I put it in the back window. I just did the demo in the beginning because I didn't want to sit on it above my plastic fenders and if it falls I've broken my fender off haha
I’m sure it’s been said already but do you ever go overlanding? Or just a super clean garage, driveway or overland mall crawler. It seams your very seldom off road! I’m not understanding why and how we’re should take you seriously? I’m sure you won’t respond, so sorry, I’m out. No more gear review for me.
😂 Oh I'll respond. This past year I've been working on a film for overland expo so although I've been out, I haven't captured footage. But I didn't want to NOT have videos to produce. You think I work with all these companies if they don't see me out? But ok. Go ahead and make assumptions about someone you don't know at all. That's all you bro.
I'm a 67-year-old man. I bought a used 2014 JKU Sahara. Starting watching you and The Road Chose Me. Have really enjoyed your channel and his. Thanks.
Nice!! I love The Road Chose Me as well!

Great video bro! Love it AS USUAL!!!!! ON POINT
Great video! Looks like an awesome product!

We've used it on beach trips a ton

67Designs has a camera mount you can attach an Arca Swiss to and they also have a GoPro mount
Well now im going to have to incorporate some sort of diesel heater into this system haha
Can you review their redesign kitchen? I liked their kitchen setup at Sema!
Is it different than the one I've reviewed already?
I wish seasucker made attachments for the Rinsekit 5 gallon portable shower
I'll bring it up. If there's a market for it, I bet they'll make it lol
Will be epic 🙌🍻@@BaptismOverland

I used some suction cups to mount my traction boards. Now 9,000 km later, I have no regrets.
My friend runs that and loves it
I like it but don't trust my old windows :)
Is there one for tailgate or tow hitch ?
Waterport has a tow hitch you can get. I don't like it though because it decreases departure angle and I don't want it scraping off a rock or getting under water during a water crossing. What!? How did the window not blow out? Can I put this on the hardtop window of my JL?

Elf on a shelf? Naw, we got one better. Asia on a Seasucker!
Hahaha
Can you think of any reason it wouldn't be safe to mount a diesel heater to this ?

🔥🔥Damn! Shut up and take my money!
😂
Lot of us in CA start at sea level then end up over 6k elevation; id be very hesitant doing this
Are you worried about elevation pressure releasing the suction cups?
@@BaptismOverland ya.. Typically if we have a gopro suctioned on the glass; often the gopro falls off towards the end of the trip as the suctioned air expands
Bro can you do a Black Friday deals video for overlanding gear?
Lol I'll share that sometimes on IG BUT every year I do a holiday gift guide and I'm in the middle of filming one now
@@BaptismOverland some of us don’t have IG can’t wait to see the holiday gift guide video. Keep crushing it!

Just make sure you keep window rolled up while sitting on it….. better braced on 4 sides vs 3 sides.
😂

Hahah done!! Lemme borrow your vehicle for that
Regarding the water I don't put drinking water in here. I use just tap water for washing dishes and cleaning ourselves up
Although the SeaSucker system works great, I would not put any real weight on roll up windows due to potential damage to the window regulators.
Fair. On the Jeep I would put it in the very back windows that don't roll up. Same with the 4runner too.
Hmmm, def got me thinking
I would put on the sides but worry about putting on glass. I know seascuker works great but the actual glass not so much.
Yeah I've heard that too.
The intro i was actually more concerned about the glass breaking 😬
Me too hahahah anything for content
I would be very hesitant to place it on a motorized window.
