Absolutely great long-term review. These long-term reviews are extremely valuable to those of us out here that are trying to put together gear for camping and over landing. Everyone wants to know they’re spending money on something that’s going to provide a lot of value… Not just throwing cash out the window. Thank you very much for sharing your experience and now I am leaning towards the Waterport instead of a weed sprayer… but in all honesty, since the weed sprayer is so expensive, I think I’ll try it once or twice.
Thanks for the comment! I would suggest the weed sprayer option just to try it out, it won't hurt the wallet too bad and it may be enough for your needs.
I agree with you on taking water with you in this fashion. I made a similar device with 4 inch abs pipe, it may not be as durable but it works. I only fill to 25 psi. I also made a 7 foot fishing rod tube out of the same diameter pipe. Both work very well.
Have you tried using the day 3.8 gallon day waterport with a hot water system such as the Coleman HWOD or the hike crew hot water shower? Both of these units utilize a clear hose attached to a small water pump that drops in the opening of the reservoir, jerry can, 5 gallon bucket or lake/river (or waterport in this instant). Both systems use a small onboard rechargeable lithium battery to power the pump and pull water thru the system heating it with the 16 ounce propane cylinder and then into the shower head where it's dispensed as hot water (whatever temp you set). It would be interesting to see if, since the waterport is already pressurized through 3 various methods, would you even have to use the pump? This would take that out of the equation. Since I am likely buying a small waterport anyway, I may test this to see if it works. In addition to the garden hose pressurizing, I have on board ARB air compressor on my Jeep TJ and could always pressurize it. Imagine, what a convenience it would be to NOT use the pump & required lithium battery (that has to stay charged) but just hook up a hose directly from the waterport connecter to the water intake connection on the hot water system and then turn it on and set the temp. Not sure if it would work. Definitely depends on the pump output pressure versus the waterport pressurization. Would love for you to do a test!!!
Awesome--thanks for considering. I have both hot water units but don't own a waterport. Not sure when I will get one but when I do, I'll let you know of any results.@@roamingwithjosh

Been considering this one for a while. Great to hear that it holds up!
I hope they still make them this way because it's an incredible product.

That's a really good solution and I've seen people use those all the time. Thanks for the comment.
Great recommendation. Yes please share your drinking water solution. Thanks for sharing.

That's an interesting concept and definitely something I'll consider tackling. Thanks for the idea!

Great video. Very informative.
Thank you!
Is this something you typically keep on the vehicle all the time or store when not on trips ?
I usually store it between trips. I have it on my GX right now and I have had it on for a couple of weeks.
Have the same set up
Right on! Where you at these days?
@@roamingwithjosh Back in Colorado, lost both parents over a two week span, one in Georgia one in Philadelphia. Wiped out and glad to be home.
I'm a savage, a farms store 12v weed spray outfit. Just don't add the weed killer or bug killer chems.
holy yapper dude
Thanks!
