- Hey y'all! Long time no see --glad to be back! Today I decided to test out some 'non-mainstream' popular kids toys. These potty humour toys seem to be a very popular theme and SLIME is EVERYWHEEEERREEEE NOW!!
What do you think of kids toys nowadays? Do you think they are better than the 80s and 90s toys you had available as kids? And do you think these are fun, imaginative toys for the kids of today?

There has been a huge overkill of mystery toys like LoL and other stuff that encourage kids to beg their parents to buy more to complete a collection at up to £10 a pop.

Is the every popular bag of broken glass still being vended? The economical one had clear broken glass and the deluxe had colored broken glass. I saw it on SNL so it must be true.
This is what happens when video games and mobile games take over kid’s time. Especially when their parents don’t care enough to take care of them.
Toy companies will resort to “potty” humor to sell anything to make a buck. How can toys compete with mobile games?

I honestly dont get bathroom humor, especially as a toy. Have never thought of it as funny and I never bought my kid anything like this. She still ended up with a pooping pig one day, purchased by her adoring grandmother. :eyeroll:

I'm glad that Dante is doing better. They toy's of the 80s and 90s, required a degree of imagination. They tech that today's toys have, is pretty cool. I know that my daughter would have liked a few of these toys, if she were younger. Hell, the farting Ninja looks like hours of fun.

I am 35. My 89 year old stepgrandpa Ed (lived till 93) from Mt Greenwood IL introduced me to the NES. 35 now. Lifelong video gamer. PC Gamer too. 35 now. My Mom spoiled me. I also ran for 12 hours a day, I also did model rockets, fishing, walking, swimming, biking, keyboard, guitar, fixed PC's and windows, loved reading and libraries, etc. I am glad I was licky to have several hobbies. Including pet's, cooking and cleaning too.

Call me an "old fart" (that feels appropriate in this context), but these are really unimaginative toys....I grew up with Lego, lincoln logs, and my imagination. It helped me dream and create my own worlds.
Instead, it's like the board meeting that created these sat down one day and said: "what do kids like" and the intern was like "kids like poop and stuff". and the out of touch CEO's eyes flashed the cash sign like Mr. Crabs haha!

I had a Boglin when I was young and i LOVED it.. it was like the most advanced horror puppet you could get at the time. Glow in the dark eyes that you could move along with the arms and mouth. Oh, and it was packed in a little cage-like crate. LOVED IT !

Now he can resume his plans of world conquest along with his feline fiend--er--friend--Muffin. Aaaand...Just finished my 'Monster in my pocket' collection. Yeah, Yeah, Yeah. Insert your own perverted joke here. By the way, It's amazing how much those little rubber monsters went for. Spaghetti-o exclusive went upward from $200.00 all the way to $500.00. Glad I already had most of them. Real snag was the exclusive monster that came with the Nintendo cartridge.

A lot of really cool technologies out now like hatchimals etc but toys back in the day really forced you to use your imagination which was awesome! ❤️ I hope he recovers fast!

Imagination was for sure the reason toys were so much fun as a child. Also if the toy was baised on a cartoon or movie, you could've made your own crossovers and stuff. Now that does make me wonder how they use curtain tech in toys nowadays, I wonder what they can do now with it.

Oh, this is just funny, and sad at the same time... What is up with these toys now? Fart, slime and poop toys? That's just dumb! Maybe they should stick to action figures, dinosaurs, cars and Lego! My Mom let me pick out $500 worth of toys every year for my birthday. And Christmas. Not counting video games, PC's and food, clothes, etc. I am an only child. Very spoiled. Thanks Mom. Also great video. Funny lol.

The fact these toy companies encourage children to play with fecal matter depresses me. When I was young, feces were disgusting. NO ONE played with them. Suddenly....kids now see a turd, and instantly think "Hey, lets play!" Tragic.
M.U.S.C.L.E. Had a Japanese cartoon I believe. Gah I remember having like 2-3 of them and went over to a friend's house after school and BAM he dumps out like 100s of them!

To be Honest I Like the Toys Back in the Days, I Just Feel like Non Franchise Toys These Days are Inappropriate and I Know I’m Completely Wrong with this but I just Can’t Help but think that Toys like these are Part of the Reason why Kids are the way they are these days.......... I Don’t Know maybe I’m Carbon Dating myself so to Speak, so in Short the Easy Answer is No I Wouldn’t Allow my Kids to have Toys like that in my Home. Aside from that I also feel like it’s Franchises like The Minions and Sponge Bobsquar Pants are the Reason why Toys like these are so Accepted Due to Their Massive Popularity. But the Upside is out of all of the Toys the Only One I would allow in my home are the Slim Providing is Mature Enough to Know Not to Get it all over the Place and Make Everything All Sticky and a Mess and.......Slimy...... Of Course the Catch is the Slim Can’t Have any Pee or Poop or anything like that Attached.

I have bought my son older toys, from 1960s toy car garages to JP toys (I had to - no way is he getting is hands on my JP collection!!!) 80s toys are definitely better than anything you find these days. (OK I'm in Old Fart Mode now.) When I was a kid toys were built to last, not break and be replaced. Meh. As an aside mre JP/JW vids please :D

I actually LOL 5 times watching this vid and no it's not only because of the fart noise ;p I'm for sure buying Chew KaKa with the KFC bucket for a friend (inside joke) and the white fart ninja looks like Storm Shadow....pauvre petit pitou, soigne toi bien Dante :) i just wished good recovery to Dante in french.
Personally I never understood the whole 'bathroom humor' thing and I agree with you about giving a kid a microscope, I grew up playing with Legos and regular action figures and I am quite happy as a result :=)
I think that these gross-out toys really hit their hay-day during the very late 80's, and then kicked everything to 1000 once the 90's hit. Around the 90's, almost every toy was gross, and or going out of their way to show how repulsive they were. There wasn't so much of this in the 80's. The only place that sold the gross toys back then was Spencer Gifts. I think we can attribute the influx of all the toys turning to toilet humor to the advent of The Simpsons, Ren & Stimply, and Family Guy, and ESPECIALLY the popularity of Beavis and Butthead. Those shows hit in a perfect storm, were really popular with the kids (especially Ren & Stimpy, and Beavis and Butthead), so the toys all changed to reflect the stupid, gross out, humor of those cartoons.

Fashion, popular music, popular movie genres, and popular video game genres all change with time. Even popular types of comedy in media change with time. Butt something that will always be hilarious is Farts and Poop, just as long as you don't step in it! Hopefully someone else does though! :)
Honestly and truly I have two children a boy and a girl my daughter is older and I dread buying the modern toys now if we're talking about stuff that's based on things from the 80s like GI Joe Transformers the new He-Man remakes and stuff like that I'm cool with that but the bulk of today's toys just suck I can just picture myself going completely brain-dead trying to play with these stupid toys as a kid

I'm a parent, and we wouldn't buy our kids farty rude toys. Slime is one thing, but we won't be encouraging our kids to rude humor, etc. They will get enough of that from the universe around them. We are a serious Lego family though. Hopefully those don't start farting. They have gotten creepier.
