I bought a 1976 F150, the first year of the beefier half tons, brand new. I love the body style. I've put 450,000 miles on it with very few repairs. It's never let me down.
I have an 86 Ram-50, 360 4 bbl 4wd with 375,000 miles. Had the heads done at 325,000, other than that just exhaust and maint. Nothing like keeping up an older truck, you have some room to work under the hood!
Sad part is i can remember using 70s model trucks for hauling hay firewood and a shit ton of other crap and hell I'm not that old.... boy id love to have them trucks now lol wouldn't be haulin no more wood or see anymore snow covered roads. any way nice ride man. My dad had a 76 f250 with a 390 dual carb headers strait piped... she'd pull.
You know Im a big ford truck guy, Born in 79 so its my favorite year of the truck, that being said ive seen hundreds of ford truck videos searching the web and youtube, and Ive got to say this is by far the baddest truck ive ever seen, props to you my friend.
I've had a 72 F-100 for 32 years that is original Ford yellow. Naturally...I refer to it as "Ol' Yeller." It's seen better days, but, all totaled it has around 550,000 miles. Of course, I've worked on the 360 2 bbl. throughout the years. Great old truck!
Now (bought two years ago) I have a '70 F-250 with mildly modified 460. I bought it restored and will be adding stuff to it later. Your truck is tastefully done...one of the best here on YT.
I finished my 74 crew cab a year ago its the 97 motor and harness, the turbo ,intake runners, oil pan, timing cover, exhaust manifolds are all 2000 7.3 got a 4.56 gears zf5speed with a gear vender .it was a ton of work
i used to have a 77 f250 2wd 460 imy dad and I built when I was about 17 years old. wasnt much on the street that could keep up with it stop light to stop light drags. I miss that ole thing. nice truck btw...lol.
ABSOLUTELY BEAUTIFUL. REMINDS ME OF ME AND MY DADS LIFTED 79 IN HAWAII WEN I WAS A YOUNG BOY. WE WOULD GO TO THE BEACH AND LOOK FOR CERTAIN BREAKS AND CURRENTS TO GO FISHING AND DIVING. BIGG LIFTED TRUCK SUPER CLEAN WITH THE UNDERCARRIAGE SPRAYED WITH RUST PROTECTION FROM THE SALT WATER AND AIR. MAN I MISS THAT TRUCK. I GOT 2 CHEVY'S NOW..BOOOOO.
Nice truck. 79 is my favorite yr. Sounds like a nice lumpy bump stick in it too. 1 thing I hate is that the door is squeaking as it opens. A little lube does wonders. The nicest machines are not complete unless you can open the door w/out noisy hinges or dry bushings. .. still a nice rig.
when you decide on a set of heads and intake then would be the time to call your cam dealer and figure out a cam spec for the engine..the scj aluminum heads are a great choice along with the intake.it all depends what you intend to do with the truck..
start with an intake, carb, headers, carb and cam all depends on what you really want.there are many choices. weiand stealth intake, edelbrock rpm intake holly 750 double pumper carb, thumpr cam, flowmaster 2 1/2 mufflers. hope this helps
Beautiful Truck ! I know this Video Old but i Love the 78-79 Ford's especially with the 460, sounds really good. I'm running a 521Stroked BBF in my 86 Mustang, Out of the Box Trickflow Street/Strip Heads, Mild Solid Roller, C-4, Goes Low to Mid Nines on a 275/60 Drag Radial, those 460,s really wake up with some Heads and a Nice Roller Cam. Can make Big Power with them, and there Strong Foundations. It's about 8 Years Later, do you Still Have It ???
Que hermosa máquina esla perfecta para mi gusto felicidades al dueño por poder tener y disfrutar esta maravillosa máquina. 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🇨🇱🇨🇱
hey scooby5000,thanks for the reply, but no longer need to know as I am having a brand new motor built(the mad porter)some may know him.528ci about 600 hp and phenoeminal torque!as soon as I get it put in, ill post it.
@fordpride101 The Highboy series ended in 1977. Starting in '78 and running through '79 they were Lowboys. And a '79 with a 12v Cummins would be sick!!!
@scooby5000 thanks for the info,i could listen to your truck allday.i have simalar set up exaust wise but have glass paks, dont like them, want to hear more of my cam.
The body and paint work is a bit sad, especially when I can tell by seeing it in a video. Not to mention the truck is even yellow. Yellow usually hides flaws the best. The body panel alignment is a whole different story yet. The truck was thrown together quickly.
Man that looks alot like what mine USED to look like LOL, Close to the same color as well, now its a chopped down version for racing. Sure miss driving it on the street though, nice work!!

Awesome truck 👍👍... I have a 1975 Ford f-100 460ci the 1973-79 body style is hard to beat!
Sad part is i can remember using 70s model trucks for hauling hay firewood and a shit ton of other crap and hell I'm not that old.... boy id love to have them trucks now lol wouldn't be haulin no more wood or see anymore snow covered roads.

Trucks were made for working not showing.
Beautiful. I'm Ford all the way.
You say that kinda gay
Until it’s time for maintenance
@@ejcii3052 everything has maintenance. Rather wrench on a ford then get caught in a Dodge!! Fuck that!

Now that yellow looks good on that truck
Sweet old Ford!!! I love that body style Ford truck...it's a work of art. The only thing that would have made this vid better is to hear it rev.
Just started a resto-mod on my son's 79 Ford F250. A whole series of videos coming for that project. Come see what we are up to.

Love the truck, But you have to choose either roll pan or rear bumper cant have both.....The bumper looks like its just floating there.
Thats one clean mean looking ford Im a Dodge guy but have to give respect where its due.
ok good i was really worried there for a second btw your truck is awesome and i am extremely jealous
The Ford Gods have smiled upon us!
awesome truck bud. to each his own on color but fine pick up. keep her between the ditches. 💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸💪🇺🇸🖖
You've got a roll pan and a bumper on that bad boy.
nicest ford that year on youtube i think sounds hot
not a fan of the yellow or the MOPAR battery lol kick ass truck though!!!!!
seriously awesome truck. My favorite Ford generation.
nothing sounds better than a cammed big block
Congrats. This is an amazing truck. I love it!
Good looking ole Ford f 250 8 lug wheels
Whole lots motor. I bet it feels beast with that 4 speed.
nice truck love it sounds good wish i had an older b.a. truck like this
when you decide on a set of heads and intake then would be the time to call your cam dealer and figure out a cam spec for the engine..the scj aluminum heads are a great choice along with the intake.it all depends what you intend to do with the truck..
All that work and it sits almost as high as the '76 highboys

I can imagine myself in a truck like this and a cowgirl next to me :D
That is one nice truck.
Looks yits but the roll pan with the rear bumper just looks funny
80's NJ plates? Great Sound!
That's sick. It might be a good idea to paint that exhaust or pull it off and have it powdercoated so it doesn't rust later on.
That is a bad ass truck.
Sounds awesome 👌 👏 👍
That's SWEET!!!!! I'd love to have a Truck like that!!!

Well your one lucky guy!!! I live in PA and nothing but junk.
@fordpride101 The Highboy series ended in 1977. Starting in '78 and running through '79 they were Lowboys. And a '79 with a 12v Cummins would be sick!!!
If you havent yet, put a dual throttle return spring on your linkage. You dont want that single one to snap
your truck sounds like popping popcorn lol.
If it sounds like that at 1000-2000 RPM It will sound killer at 6000-8000.
that's how its supposed to sound!!
Tu camioneta es genial..... te felicito......
@scooby5000 thanks for the info,i could listen to your truck allday.i have simalar set up exaust wise but have glass paks, dont like them, want to hear more of my cam.
Sweet motor, but damn that truck is hammered
Peter Griffin , hammered? it doesn't look beaten or abused. maybe I missed something, but it looks clean.
are we watching the same video
The body and paint work is a bit sad, especially when I can tell by seeing it in a video. Not to mention the truck is even yellow. Yellow usually hides flaws the best. The body panel alignment is a whole different story yet. The truck was thrown together quickly.
Peter Griffin or he likes yellow
awesome truck i love the sound man
Nice truck man. I would do that to my bronco but the damn thing is rotted to hell. Time for me to pick up another 79 if I can.
Man that looks alot like what mine USED to look like LOL, Close to the same color as well, now its a chopped down version for racing. Sure miss driving it on the street though, nice work!!
My dream truck. I grew up in a 79 f150. But when your poor, white, n ugly guess I gotta keep dreaming. Nice truck.
really nice truck
Wow was that nice, that sounds awesome
Nice bad ass truck my friend!
Yes, you are right. We have an AC Delco battery in our '89 D250 Cummins. Works good too, haha
Good looking truck sir
I know you must have a decent stall converter in that. Any issues on the street with running a stall converter in a lifted truck.
I just came like 9 times listening to this
PERFECT TRUCK !! Thanks for sharing !!!
@NIGHTRIDER995 the tires are great for the street, sand . not to much noise i like them
