Dragon Ball GT Soundtrack - The Storm Is Over - (Clean Rip) - (No Sound Effects)

- A very clean rip of the track from the Tokunaga score of Dragon Ball GT most well known for when it plays just before Goku's SSJ4 transformation in episode 34, when as a Golden Great Ape he remembers a trip to the beach with his family by looking at Pan's photograph.
Background:
Hello again all! It's been a while hasn't it? I know that I haven't uploaded in a while but there are reasons! Number one being that my headset broke and I had to wait a few weeks to get a new pair delivered so couldn't work on anything, the second being that what time I did have to work on stuff was spent making this, one of the most difficult tracks that I've ever had the pleasure of trying to rip. I know that this one has been requested before so I hope that those who asked for it will enjoy it! Okay, now for a breakdown of what I did.
First off, this track, to my surprise, has not been ripped properly before. The one from this video: • Dragon Ball GT: Comple... was made for the most part with a recreation, so I set about correcting this by having a go at ripping the original audio. Using the two rear channels of the 5.1 audio, I was able to remove the majority of reverb that I came across in ISSE, which was mainly made up of the sound effects from Oozaru Goku groaning as well as sfx from waves at the beach along with vocals from Pan, Chi Chi and Goku. Not complicated on its own but since this was found all over the track it was quite time consuming. The real stumbling block came near the end. There is a slight change at exactly 2:08 between this rip and how it plays in in episode 34, as in said episode there is a slight cut to the next part of the track.
Why this was done is anybody's guess but I figured this out by comparing it with a later part of the track where this 'cut' is not present, as well as how it's heard in the TV special, so tried to fix it. I did this by mixing in a small section of the track from said special to do this. This probably sounds confusing but trust me I did my best to keep everything accurate. Finally, I mixed in some more audio from the TV special at exactly 2:40 to the end since it was clean anyway and there was no point even attempting to clean the remainder of the track in episode 34 since the SSJ sound effect was way too loud and it would probably sound awful. I think that this is good enough so I guess it doesn't matter. Well anyway if you made it to the end of my little rant I hope you enjoy what is very likely the cleanest rip ever done of this track!

To be fair, GT Goku would be older than DBS Goku mentally at least, not physically because he got turned into a kid at the start of the story

One of my favourite moments in GT. Honestly, GT version of Goku is probably my favourite version of Goku. He seems more matured and wisened despite his silly, lighthearted side. That moment with Goku remembering Pan and his family was truly heartwarming. Arguably, the most emotional moment in Dragon Ball history.
Totally agreed, gt showed adult versión of all characters, it's so lógic 'cuz the every saga (db+dbz) showed every character growing up... :')

Vegeta was scared of Beerus, but once Beerus hit Bulma, Vegeta went insane for her and he became stronger than Goku for a short period of time.
Vegeta actually wants to end his fights as soon as possible, but his only problem is his rivalry with Goku and his pride.
Vegeta actually trained Cabba during their battle and he gave his senzu beam to Granolah.
on a side note Vegeta was able to go further with Bulma than Yamacha even though Yamcha knew Bulma for longer time than Vegeta.

DBSuper and DBGT Goku are polar opposites. This theme wouldn't fit the more selfish Goku. It's perfect for his protective heroic side.
Most definitely. Honestly GT version is probably my favourite version of Goku imo. I know lot of people are gonna say Super is faithful to Goku's "true" persona according to Toriyama he was more selfish and only wanted good fight. Except that in both Dragon Ball and Z manga Goku has shown concern for other people despite his selfish motivations and sometimes it was not just wanting a good fight. I think GT Goku is perfect continuation of that character in Z.

But honestly I think Goku in GT is more of continuation of Super. Way more villains and higher stakes and he learned and matured from those

GT manages to be super emotional so well. I wish Tokunaga had some more time with DB because his tracks in GT and Path to Ultimate Power are fantastic. Thanks for ripping this track.
Thanks! To be honest I think that one of Toei's biggest mistakes was not rehiring this guy, imagine if he did the score for Kai or Super? Would be awesome.
@@Dragon-Ball-Legacy I'm very satisfied with Sumitomo's and Yamamoto's scores, but Tokunaga definitely held a lot of potential. I'd really love to hear a DBS score from him, especially for the Moro arc. Tokunaga not making any new tracks after the Baby arc was a shame, but if he could have made more, I'm certain they'd be great.

If there's one thing i prefer GT for is the relationship between Goku and Pan, really feels like they're pushing Piccolo again as a father figure and I'm sorry but i much prefer this Grandfather/granddaughter relationship, it's so sweet.

This theme makes me cry every time. Between Pan's flashback, Goku fusing with the Dragon Balls and fading away, or Goku meeting with Goku Jr as a spirit, its so beautiful man. I love GT

This theme was the best way to end Goku jr special because it was the last time we see Goku's face in anime and to end the classic era of old school Dragon Ball. Until Toriyama and Toei got involved again to bring the series back.
