Longnose Gar and Spotted Gar Fishing 101

Very simple video teaching everything you need to know to catch small gar of all species, Alligator gar, spotted gar, and longnose gar which really isnt a very difficult process. you will likely lose a few but you can catch them on absolutely tiny hooks and have a whole lot of fun doing so. they really dont seem to be able to bite through my 80 pound braid mainline so i rarely use wire leader when fishing small baits for little gar.

Thank you 😊 I live in Cayuga county NY and I was fishing last night and I hooked a huge longnose!!! I didn't even know we had them. I just had a cheap white rooster tail. Got him to the shore and he bit through the line and got away. Now I need to go back and catch that sucker. Thanks for the video :)

That was awesome. You had a lot of success, even getting more than one at a time on. You really need to get a cameraman. It’s hard to record and fish, maybe a GoPro might help. Well done bro, big fan of your channel.
