It's much simpler to place a screwdriver tip that fits snugly into the rotary blade to rotate it on the honing stone. I use about a 1/8" wide tip that snugly wedges into the female reciever of the rotary blade. Experiment a little bit & maybe you'll find a phillips head driver bit that works just as well, any fit just so long as the rotary blade will spin on the whetstone without the screwdriver bit slipping.
Use a very fine mesh honing stone. I use a 1200 mesh diamond stone. If you use larger grit (under 1200) you take off bigger chunks of metal of the cutters which in turn shortens the number of times you'll be able to sharpen your blades, this because each sharpening wears away a little more of the sharpenable surfaces of the cutters.
You don't need a lot of pressure, just the weight of the drill will suffice. Spin it flat on the honing block for about 10 seconds at a moderate speed. I've done mine like this about every 3-6 months.

Wondered what channel I’d end up binge watching this weekend… looks like yours is it! Great series of videos. I always wondered if I could re-sharpen those kinds of blades. I do the same random kind of stuff.
