A drive on the Grossglockner High Alpine Road. From the Haus Alpine Naturschau to the Heiligenblut exit.
The Grossglockner High Alpine Road is the highest surfaced mountain pass road in Austria. It connects Bruck in the state of Salzburg with Heiligenblut in Carinthia via Fuscher Törl and Hochtor Pass at 2,504 m. The road is named after the Grossglockner, Austria's highest mountain. Built as a scenic route, a toll is assessed for passage.

My father was stationed in Karlsruhe, Germany for three years, 1962-1965. I was 16 when we got there and 19 when we left. He had spent three years as a medic during WWII, and he was determined that his children would get to see the beautiful side of Europe, if possible. Every opportunity he had he would load us all up in our Ford station wagon and head out to somewhere magnificent! Austria was one of my favorites, but we also saw the many beauties of Switzerland, France, Italy and Germany. Maybe I didn't fully appreciate the wonderful opportunities I had then, but they certainly come back into focus when I view these scenes! Those of you who have not been there should make every effort to go, because it is something you will never forget, and will tell your children and grandchildren all about, as I have. PS: The people of Austria are a wonderful people, so try to spend more than a little time there! God bless all!

Beauty lies everywhere in Austria, a great country.
We lived in Germany for two years (Bad Abling) and took many day and extended trips into Austria visiting such places as Innsbruck, Salzburg, Kufstein, Kitzbuhel, and many small villages along the way. Beautiful country and great people. Still miss it.

Beautifully videographed. High snow covered mountain passes to coniferous forests down the slope. I have seen the surroundings of Innsbruck which is very scenic. Austria seems to be as beautiful as Switzerland.👌

My son and I rode our BMW's GS's a little over 5,000 miles in Austria, Germany, Italy, France, Switzerland, Slovenia, Croatia, and the islands of Corsica (France) and Sardinia (Italy) last summer. All on surface streets. Most of the roads didn't have stripes. Spectacular scenery. Lots of places have the scenery, but very few have the same historical significance. Awesome people, great food! Some of the most beautiful and terrifying rides of our lives! Next year, Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, Moldova, Ukraine, Poland, Slovakia, Austria, Croatia, Albania and back to Greece (10k+-).

I used to play Euro truck simulator game. Mountains,roads and tunnels looks same in this video.i love driving that truck game because of those natural scenic route. Especially Switzerland, Belgium and Austria.
I also went to these places. Yes I believe most of you people that there are more beautiful places then this. But this place has his own beauty charm and peace ✌🏻. Very clean roads and very cold and Frisch air. One must go there if it is possible for you. I wish to see also Indo Pak kashmirs, ye offcorce Ladakh, Simla, Uti, etc then Gilgit , Skardu, citral, K2 are one of my favorite place. And sooner or later I will be there Ish. I wish to travel to baical lake in Russia, Sochi is also very beautiful, then Europe if you want to see nature then you must travel to Norway first. Then Swiss and Austria, like Borden see and Reihenfall between Swiss and Germany are also beautiful places which I visit. This week I am in Italy in the near of venedig City. I saw here many historical places but also some other like Bibione beach, Lignano Sabiadoro and Grado city’s and beaches. As will as Piancawallo is a hills station and with some lift and other snow sports activities. I recommend to see this region in Italy. Province name is FVG ( Freuli-Venezia-Julia ) and one another City the city of love the city of Romeo and Juliet’s by the name of Verona is also very beautiful and also there is a lake by the name of Garda lake is also very very beautiful and clean.
