  • Saw this new solo cam bow come out and had to get my hands on it. It tunes with ease and is so graceful to shoot.
    I shoot the bow split finger with no sights .

    So cool, it does look kinda funky but no biggie there. I think those Hunting Public kids use the adapt. I am literally still working through one Tribe Drake inspired rabbit hole and now you have me seriously eyeing up another. I always wanted to buy a bow from the local shop here in Savannah and I think he has those. I have an alligator tag that is distracting me big time, opens same day as small game in GA gonna use the phoenix on that one. Make a string sometime for your Adapt... and video it. Rock on dude.

    Good video, I like it, thank you for posting it. I also shoot and hunt with a pulley and with fingers, without a scope. My bow is a PSE Stinger at 50 pounds and also monocam, my arrows are Golp Tip Pro Hunter 400. I love shooting instinct (traditional), but with a pulley bow, there are few of us. I have subscribed to your channel. Thank you

    Aloha ! Man I really enjoy your videos about archery. I’m getting back into it after many years. I shoot left handed and I bought a Mathews Creed XS. I’d love to have a Oneida Phoenix. I’ve already built my custom on their website lol. Im going to hunt boar, goat, and axis deer when I’m ready. I grew up in West Virginia and hunting was done in the fall and winter so I’ll have to get used to the heat here in Hawaii. Keep up the good work man. I like that you jam the guitar. I play too! I have a Fender American Original 50’s Strat and a Martin 000-17 acoustic. Looking forward to your next video 🤙🏻🤟🏻

    I tried shooting fingers last winter on target. Did it for several weeks. Went back to a release. Too close to deer season for me to try again but I do have two bows. The bow I shot last winter is a 2012 Martin Silencer and since I rebuilt a 2012 Onza 3. The silencer has a NAP Apache rest and I’m thinking of ways to modify that rest to benefit fingers? Maybe a couple zip ties on each side?
    One thing that I don’t understand is why your nock point is set so high? Even when I was finger shooting my silencer last winter I didn’t change my level nocking point. I really like this video.

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  10 месяцев назад +2

      Shoot a bare and adjust the nocking point till it flys almost perfect , solo cam generates more down force launching the arrow, i just do what it takes to get the best flight possible even if it looks stupid .

    I watched this video 10 times. I have always been a traditional bowhunter but now at 56 my shoulders are burnt out and I am currently shooting 42# recurve. I am going to reproduce your setup. The difference is I am going to try to use arrows already on hand. 350 black eagle instinct with feathers. Not sure how they will fly with a biscuit. Any thoughts I would welcome!

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  Месяц назад +1

      I shot a lot of traditional as well, tune it just like a stick bow, I generally like keeping my same arrow setup, maybe add point weight if necessary or adjust draw weight to accommodate arrow flight, no problems with the biscuit.

    • @MrNutmeghunter
      @MrNutmeghunter Месяц назад +1

      Messed around with NAP CR Flipper, Whiskers and nothing shot well with any arrows I had and I have a lot. Finally got a QAD Hunter and success. Found I need to only use two fingers and close one eye shooting split horizon. Thanks. 51# perfect.

    Please, I have a question. From where do you measure the length of the arc, from the ends of the wheel and pulley or from the axles? Which of the two measurements is the most correct or appropriate for pulling with the fingers? According to your experience. Thank you.

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  8 месяцев назад

      Berger hole where you screw on your arrow rest, 3/8”-1/2” high nocking point, somewhere in there will be the sweet spot

    • @manuelgonzalezzambrano1989
      @manuelgonzalezzambrano1989 8 месяцев назад

      I think that you have not understand me. I mean the length of the arc. Is it measured from axle to axle of the pulleys or the ends of the pulleys? Thanks again.

  • @jamiejohnston4983

    I've been interested in shooting fingers with a compound lately.
    I've killed some deer with a longbow but just want a little more power.
    Do you normally need a stiffer arrow like that shooting fingers?
    If im not badly mistaken 340 should be stiff with 50#.
    But I dont know for sure.

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  10 месяцев назад +2

      All depends in the energy deliverance of the bow to the arrow, smooth minimal cam roll over or hard cam roll over , also poundage of course plays a role and what length you want your arrows. If I cut my 340s down from full length then they are gunna end up being to stiff unless I add weight to the front.
      Lots of variables,

      @flintlockDave 10 дней назад

      So I went ahead and got this bow. And I shoot 3 fingers under. I have a full length. Gold tip 340 125 grain point shooting at 60 pounds, 29 inch. Draw, and no matter what I do, I am getting extreme nock. High any suggestions?

    • @TRIBEDRAKE
      @TRIBEDRAKE  10 дней назад

      Arrow could be bouncing off the rest, causing nock high, but I don’t know what kind of arrow rest you’re using or what your nock height is, and make sure with those skinny strings you run a nocking point below your nock as well so the arrow will not shift on the string when you shoot.
