I know a place in Vietnam call “Kỳ Anh Quán”, they let you shrimping for the same kind of prawn you ate but about 3/4 of the size. It’s only take about 6 dollars per hour. If you go there at the right time which is about 9 to10 in the morning, you can catch about six or seven of them (like I did easily). The place is at a small island in the middle of a lake that has been connected to land by a bridge. The place is called “Thanh Đa”, if you want to know the address, you can look on the Internet or ask the local.

damn! i just had a $30 lunch buffet the other day, and had lobsters, scallops, clams, mussells and crabs (i dint do crabs, lazy to deshell). no shrimp like those river prawns! me want!
It's funny that Sonny is so worried about them boiling the prawn alive and says sorry to youtube, but didn't have any problem with the hundreds of crawdads that got boiled alive during his Louisiana visit.
You do know that was insanely expensive, I’m Vietnamese. Those prawns aren’t uaually that big but they are about half or 3/4 size of that one and with those 25$ I think you can buy about 2 kilograms
I am pretty happy you went to Hoi an, it is a beautiful place and i loved going there and seeing how cute everything was ♥ But I agree with the people here Sunny... They have this system where locals pay a different price and the foreigner peeps pay much more... I was a victim of such crime on my wallet XD my mother(who looks very local!) bought some goods from a "kind" old man in his stall and i came back to that stall and he charged me 200% of what my mother paid for... (heart break) I grew up in NZL so i would obviously not look local.

He is not in cahoots with anyone. I chose this place because I liked how it looked and they had a nicer fish tank than other places. They were also nice about letting us shoot.
Hoi An is one of the busiest tourist attraction, the cost to open and maintain a restaurant isn't cheap, so i think that's a decent price (maybe a little bit expensive but not a rip-off pirce)
