    I pride myself and think of myself as, a man of faith, as there's a drive into deep left field by Castellanos and that'll be a homerun. And so that'll make it a 4-0 ballgame. I don't know if I'll be putting on this headset again. Whether that be for the Reds or my bosses at FOX.

      OriginaLane disagree. freese's walkoff was one of the biggest hits in baseball history and we got a boring "we will see you... tomorrow night". i'm surprised we didn't get buck's generic "back at the wall and it's gone"

    He Gone was always my favorite from The Hawk. Surprised no John Sterling. He has my favorite home run calls. I actually used his home run call on the golf course ilast week when i skied one (my ball did not go very far but it went high and landed in the drink). Made a guy in the group laugh pretty hard. That ball is high it, it is far, it is gone.

    As a child 55 years ago, listening to Harry Caray call the Cardinals while I was supposed to be sleeping. “There’s a high fly ball. Way back. Might be….. Could be……. It is. A home run. Ho Leee Cowww.!” Some of the best memories of my life.

    The late Ernie Harwell,longtime Detroit Tigers play by play radio announcer, had some gems. Home Run,"That ball is LONNNNNNNNNNNNG GONE!!", called third strike,"He stood there like the house by the side road and watched it go by". foul ball in to the stands,"And a lady/gentleman from (inserts random city) caught that one.".     I love how my Pittsburgh Pirates have always had announcers with signature home run calls.
    Rosey Rowswell: "Raise the window, Aunt Minnie, here it comes!"
    Bob Prince: "Kiss it goodbye!"
    Lanny Frattare: "Go ball, get outta here!"
    Greg Brown: "Clear the deck, cannonball coming!"
    Joe Block: "And...there it goes!"
