This is a masterpiece in every respect. For a start, Marshall Mathers lyrics and rhymes. Then Kasey's extraordinary reinterpretation and reading of the lyrics. Then the way she captures the cadence and flow. Then her 110% conviction. Then the band, who were great. And she shreds that banjo! Kasey Chambers is known as a (very good) sweet-voice Country & Western singer. This is next level. Thanks for the reaction.
There's a plethora of Aussie talent you could delve into, dependent on whether or not you've heard it already. Some good examples are John Farnham, Cold Chisel / Jimmy Barnes, INXS and more. Each do covers and some also perform together. John Farnham's cover of Help (by the Beatles) live in concert in Melbourne is another brilliant example and given it's live the performance is outstanding.
This blows the original out of the water - yeah it’s what y’all thinking. As an Aussie and Rap fan, I never really liked Kasey’s music, and Lose Yourself is one of my least favourite Eminem songs. After hearing this. It’s now my favourite cover of all time, coming from a song and artist I don’t like much lol
If you want a rabbit hole try Cold Chisel who most Aussies will tell you are the best band Australia has produced, AC/DC, INXS included. Start with Bow River from the Ringside concert. You will not be disappointed.
Another female singer you absolutely need to hear is Eva Cassidy. Unfortunately her fame came after her death at 33 in 1996 from melanoma. Two that would be good to review are Fields of Gold, or Autumn Leaves. Anything from the Blue Note Cafe is excellent. The recordings from the Blue Note were done 10 months prior to her death.
As others have said, check out Jimmy Barnes - Stone Cold with Joe Bonamassa. John Farnham- Help, live with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra, and Bow River by Cold Chisel - live, ringside 2003. Australian Musicians are the Greatest
keep up the aussie clips and you will discover some amazing talents, try mama by billy thorpe and the aztecs live on gtk, the best of aussie early rock
Stepped into a Kasey Concert -Did Ya! 🤣 Yes Wow! Kasey is Australian Music Royalty. She's not just 'Country', she's Rock, Folk, Soul, R & B, Jazz, Pop - the LOT. Not just a fantastic singer - but a brilliant songwriter and arranger as well. Kasey has won just about every Award there is down here, is the youngest ever recipient of the Aria's Music Hall of Fame, and just keeps on creating new things and getting better and better. Have a look at the rest of her catalogue. What do you mean - it's hard to find content? Look up and out. Avoid getting trapped in Genre Specific lanes. Skipping across and above these is where the real artists are emerging, and look outside of English Language artists. The world is large! Have a look at: Dimash, Ren, John Farnham, Guy Sebastian, Jimmie Barnes, Icehouse, Diana Andkudinova, Forestella, Sohyang - just for Starters! Enjoy exploring everything - everywhere. Cheers from Tasmania. 😊🥰👍
If your looking for something to react to you may like Ren ‘Hi Ren’. There are no words to describe him, your best to just experience it. He is blowing up big time and it’s so well deserved. He has a huge catalogue you can get lost in for ages.
Thanks for the reaction. If you want to see Kasey in her normal wheelhouse, try 'Aint no Little Girl', the live version at the Bluegrass underground is probably best. She's a well known Australian Country Artist with nearly a dozen albums under her belt. Willing to bare her heart on stage, she puts her all into her performances. Her brother's on guitar in the clip and her Dad's on slide guitar.
Want suggestions? Do yourself a favor and check out some A Capella Country - "Man of Constant Sorrow" by the group Home Free. Four singers and an amazing beat boxer for sound effects - and no instruments. You'll be glad you did. As for Kasey, try "Ain't No Little Girl"; personally I like the sessions from Paste Studio but there are several other versions out there. That's one of her originals. Her catalog goes back over twenty years, and I like her early recordings, but the more recent ones resonate with me more. Like me, she's been through some things.
Check her out, Aussie's know, I was blessed to see her years ago in Atlanta, Ga., a true artist...check out The Captain...Barricades and Brickwalls...We are all goona die some day...the songs go on
Brilliant reaction sir. Kasey took us all on a journey that was the early life of Eminem. Some would say it was a tragic and painful life for him. I had heard his rap of this but to be honest never really heard the words. Kasey slowly walked us through the story then her emotions took over and finally she lets out the Anger! Eminem would be proud of this performance I'm sure.
React to 70s ,80s Aussie Pub Rock and us Aussies will flock to your channel . Our music has a raw unpolished vibe . In Oz back in the day if you couldn't pull a crowd in the pub you wouldn't get a record deal. Most of our best bands never escaped Oz.
Talk about "Lose yourself in the music" Kasey is the best at that. You should check out her original song not "ain't no little girl" she gives that 100% as well
Man I missed this last week somehow. Great reaction and for all the right reasons. As for other rabbit holes someone mentioned Angelina Jordan below and she is a must watch. Start when she is a 7yo on Norway's Got Talent and marvel at her progression through the show and then as a 9yo just after NGT. "I Put a Spell on You" went viral. Another great talent from down under is John Farnham, start watching his live performances with the Melbourne Symphony Orchestra from around 1989. You will wonder how you never heard of him he is that good. (always go for live performance as he shines)
Nice reaction. Calling this a cover is downplaying it. It is so much more than a copy or adaption. This is a reimagining of an already great piece. Kasey is known as an Australian pop/country artist and has received many accolades. She started in the biz (in mid ‘80s) as a 10 yo with the family band. Dad still plays in band with her and is playing the slide steel guitar on stage here.
Thanks! Came here to see your reaction to Kasey, literally a lifetime involved in music, and appreciated your unfiltered reaction. If you're really hankering for music that a lot still never get to see, you might give Japanese Metal and Rock a go - they've kept Hard Rock alive and well in Japan, and the number of all-girl bands like Band Maid, Hanabie, Nemophila, Lovebites and dozens of others is astounding. Don't fret over language barriers - the music and vocals can be extremely expressive.
Here is another masterpiece: I Put A Spell on You by Angelina Jordan, who just turned 9. She honors the original & holds a candle with his face (Screaming Jay Hawkins). And She arranged this herself (did I not tell you she is a true genius?). ruclips.net/video/nwFloCPXzCs/видео.html
Nice reaction! You say you were looking for content to discover, check out an artist by the name of Ren performing high ren. None of his music sounds to saying. This will be an artist that you will love to go down the rabbit hole with.
If you want to do something sort of out there, react to two Tom Waits songs, first the acoustic version of "I Hope I Don't Fall In Love With You" and compare his voice with "Tom Traubert's Blues"...both songs are just masterpieces... like this one from Kasey and her family...oh yeah, watch this again, but keep your eyes on the keyboard player😂

Great response, what's next?
I’m glad you enjoyed that. I love watching people react to this. One the best covers I’ve heard!!!
It was better than expected, for sure, what's next?

Yes I think you could go for years reacting to Aussie music. Especially 70's and 80's 😂
I believe (but may be wrong) that this is the only cover Eminem has approved to be released on Spotify etc.
This sits right up there next to Johnny Cash’s cover of Hurt .. ❤ ..Kasey is awesome live..you might have heard her song The Captain on The Sopranos

Thank you for reacting to this astounding cover! Kasey has made it her own!
Loved how you worded this in your description. You nailed it man. Thanks for the reaction. Aussies are awesome 😂🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺🇦🇺
HUGE win today for the Australian Ladies World Cup team, glad you enjoyed the reaction.

Kasey also song's "Aint no little girl" another great song she wrote.

@@CraVeReactionChannel ok thanks Michael lol Saying hi from Australia
Bloody brilliant. She ripped it up. She brought the emotion to the lyrics. It made me appreciate the lyrics even more. Best cover ever.
She brought it big time.
